Stayed here before and the lady who greets you is so lovely, talks about everything and even shows you! The room available at time of booking was a triple but was just me so only used one bed but it’s comfy and clean. Smokers section which as a smoker was super handy as I don’t like smoking near people who don’t just out of respect.

Only thing would be was an area to get ready in the morning. No mirror except bathroom which you could take off but had to do it on the bed and was concerned about getting make up on the bedding. Room had 3 beds but no chair to sit on. It’s not a complaint though! I just don’t want to get make up anywhere and had to balance the mirror on my work bag.

The house is lovely, staff are really welcoming and attentive. They offered to wash my towels every day for no extra charge for when I got back from work. The owner had great communication and even assisted with parking (upon request as it is limited). The room is a decent size (I was upgraded which was super nice of them) with a large window and big bed. The bathrooms, on e you find them aha, are great, and there are quite a few so I had no issue with sharing. Would book again :) plenty of shops/restaurants/parks etc nearby. The place was originally a B&B but hasn't offer breakfast since the pandemic (very reasonable), however, I'd love to see them bring it back if possible :)

The power socket was on the other side of the room, not ideal but manageable. And being picky, there was no lamp or mirror - but again, not essential with this price point!

We were able to park outside (this is day and time dependant so check the signs). We were greeted by a very friendly lady who showed us to our room. Room was comfortable, and had little fridge, tea and coffee facilities and a little en suite toilet and shower, and the curtains blocked any remaining light well. Beds were comfortable as well. Breakfast wasn't included but when my friend said she didn't want anything cooked the host Kevin didn't charge her for hers anyway, he was super friendly and welcoming. We were there for one night for a reunion at the university and had such a nice time we parted saying we could come back, and if we do we'll look to book at Clayhanger again.

Only thing I'd say about the room, booking a twin room I always imagine the beds will be a little bit separate, rather than pushed together but it's really a minor point, we aren't a couple but have shared rooms before so wasn't a problem, but some friends might prefer a bit of distance.

Stayed for two nights, room was a double and with toilet. Really good stay. Unsure of the ladies name but when I arrived (11.30am due to meeting) she was so welcoming and let me book in early! Showed me how to get in and the gates, lovely women!

I was room 12, next to the main door. Everytime someone left it slammed (I understand fire doors) just when it was 3/4am and it woke me up wasn’t the best. Had to keep the curtains closed all the time due to looking at the court yard and everyone (I mean everyone) who walked past looked in. As a single female I didn’t feel very safe but closing the curtains helped!

For me the location was good for the royal stoke university hospital, if your fit it's about a mile and a quarter walk, or a short Uber ride. Breakfast was good lots of variety.. The room and facilities were clean and the staff were very friendly, and the owners went out of there way to help with any requests I had. A lovely guest house and will book again if I am back in stoke on trent.

Compenian in the room needs up dating, wrong breakfast times.

Everything was comfortable and clean, Hosts were pleasant and polite. I would consider staying there again if need be.

The only problem I had was the heating went off in the evening and didn't come on again, it was nice and warm when i arrived at around 3.30 but by 6pm it was getting cold and stayed cold until I left at arounf 9.30am. Not a compliant but I also wanted to mention that there was fridge and a microwave in the lounge but I wasnt sure it was for guests as I didn't see it mentioned anywhere but the microwave was a bit grubby and old any way and I dont think the fridge was actually on. However I wasn't expecting there to be a fridge and microwave.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Clayhanger Guest House. The bedroom was so amazing fully stocked with everything to make myself drink's, The bed was very comfortable and to make thing's complete there was even a dressing gown for me to wear for my stay there. While I was in Stoke I had a problem and lost my phone in a taxi, Kevin the owner was truly unbelievable and without Kevin's help I would not have been able contact Uber, The taxi driver and locate my phone. For that I am truly grateful. I would recommend the Clayhanger guest House to everybody...

Was greeted by a lovely lady who showed me around the hotel. Breakfast was included with my booking which I didn't know beforehand; lovely surprise. The room was well-kept and anything I asked from the hosts was never too much trouble for them.

Walls are a bit thin; you can hear floors squeaking and taps running from the rooms around you. Quite cold in the mornings. Also my wifi connection was very intermittent in room 10 - probably the most disappointing thing. Only slight negatives though, especially when you're not paying an arm and a leg for the stay!

Katherine is so charming when you check. This is the second time I have had the pleasure of meeting her. She allocated me a quiet room. The room had everything I needed including fridge and kettle. She is always on hand should you need anything. The bed was comfy. The room was super clean. Shower functional. Pleasant and served everything I needed for a 2 night stay.

I didn’t have the breakfast so cannot comment.

Lovely location and good for parking. Very secure. Very clean room with TV, fridge, and a little desk. Shower was easy to use. Water pressure good. Lots of little extra toiletries. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great values for money. Continental style plus scrambled eggs and toast. There was a communal living room and a place to buy some snacks and water. There is even a communal ironing board and iron that I got to use. Will definitely stay here when I come back to the area. Lovely friendly pub a few doors away on the corner.

Everything was fine. No complaints.
