From start to finish our stay at Aquamarine was excellent. Vanessa was very professional, welcolming, knowledgeable about the area and happy to answer any questions. Our accomodation was very spacious, well equipped, very clean and had a large outside area with a good view. The breakfast provided was wonderful, freshly prepared fruit every day, a great choice of hot and cold dishes served with a smile by the well trained staff. It was a walk downhill to the restaurants by the sea but there was a complimentary taxi provided back to the accomodation in the evening. Paul, the driver was very good at making sure you were safely back in your guest house before he said goodnight. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.

There was nothing not to like, no negatives for us.

Lovely well designed spacious room. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed. We loved the private patio/balcony but unfortunately it was raining heavily and we were unable to use it.

The staff were courteous and helpful but did not go out of their way to be friendly. The impression was that they were doing their job but no more. At breakfast we could hear them talking and laughing in another room but they did not share that joviality with us. The plug in the bath leaked badly. The water level went down rapidly so had to be topped up frequently. This was an unnecessary waste of water.

Breakfast was great location was right at the top of a hill with lots of steps to room etc. Hard work. Save enough to walk into town which was good:

Arrived a little early for check in and after a 2.5 hour drive myself and my daughter needed to the toilet but was told they only have toilets in the rooms and we can’t use them until check in time. I had no problem with that other than the toilets that were clearly available next to reception when I came back to check in. Could have been a bit more helpful I feel.

Good location, secure parking. Room was big and as in the photos. Beautiful view out over the sea and the balcony had seats and loungers so we could enjoy the weather.

Described as ‘air con’ but it was a ceiling fan. There were two sets of curtains but they still let light in so we woke very early each day. Our room was located right beside reception/breakfast area so we could also hear a lot of noise every morning as they prepared things. We would recommend asking for a room further away. Staff very helpful but we asked for laundry and it took ages and was still given back to us damp - so we had to take it in a plastic bag to our next hotel and dry it ourselves. Charged us £10 which would have been okay for the amount but would have preferred it was dry!

This guesthouse totally exceeded my expectations from the room to the breakfast. The room was spacious with an awesome seaview from the balcony. Staff was extremely professional and friendly and they really made our stay exceptional. The welcome drinks and show around was great and welcoming as well.

The rooms are large and bright and have enormous balconies overlooking the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great and everything was spotlessly clean.

The guest house is located above the waterfront area so walking to and from the centre would be difficult as it is a steep climb - a matter of geography as the town is built on the hillside. The parking area is small but we were on a tour so had a larger than normal vehicle.

The view is great and the rooms are really nice. The host who showed us our room was nice and eager to help. There is a free shuttle to the harbour you can book in advance, since there is no Uber. We did not use it though and walked while there was still daylight. (Not the nicest walk though, wouldn't recommend.)

Somehow we did not quite feel at home here. We felt like the staff was lacking passion for their job. The parking situation is quite challenging. Not very much fun for unexperienced drivers, but manageable. The breakfast service was very slow, there was no coffee until we were already finished and it seemed like the buffet was not ready yet. To sum it up: The place is nice but the staff needs a motivation boost. :)

Great view from the balcony, pretty and clean room, welcome drinks were a nice touch. Helpful staff who let us in quite late in the evening. Amazing breakfast with the view.

The bed is too short. I’m 167 cm tall but it was too short even for me let alone my husband. No one warned us about the time of load shedding, so it caught me in the middle of a shower. The parking is tricky. Luckily, we were driving a small car. Don’t know how it can be possible with a bigger car. No restaurants serving food open after 8-9 pm. KFC was the hero of the night.

The location was good for the town apart from the big hill up again if you walked. It was in a safe location and had glorious views. We were fortunate and had a sea view and large balcony. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good too and plenty of it if wanted.

We were parked in the top section of the guest house which was very tight to get in and out of. It did have covered parking to keep the sun off and it was gated so was very safe but like I said very tight.
