The breakfast was not comparable to a home cooked breakfast, This is because it was a home cooked breakfast. served with love and care or each guest. It felt like visiting home. The location was fantastic the garden led me down to a field with breathtaking British countryside views. with a bonus hand made stream leading to a pond.

The room information was intense, it felt like i was back in army cadets. if we were staying for a month or two the information would have been justified. but i could tell the host was simply proud of his achievements, Rightly so.

What's not to like. Bedroom had blackout blind, very comfortable bed and underfloor heating for an excellent nights sleep. Great shower in wetroom. Quality tea, coffee, biscuits with fresh milk and filtered water in fridge. First class breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt, muesli, croissant followed by cooked breakfast to order using locally sourced products with view through bi-fold doors of an amazing landscaped garden. I was travelling alone on business but would love to revisit with my wife for a relaxing break.

Another lovely stay at the Laurels following my first booking some time ago. Excellent breakfast and very friendly, welcoming hosts. Quiet location just outside Felsted. Thoroughly recommended and would definitely stay again.

Nothing to criticise. Everything of excellent quality with no areas where you might want to quibble. The owners clearly maintain top quality standards on an ongoing basis. Village location was also ideal for me.

I'm not a fan of wet-room showers, especially when the room is a bit cramped, as the water tends to go everywhere. Perhaps that's the reason for having no toilet roll holder and keeping the rolls in a cupboard - it felt a bit odd. Also, I can't remember the last place I stayed that didn't provide shampoo, only body wash.

You were both so lovely and accomodating to us for our entire stay. As a group of 3, here for a festival, it would have been easy to suspect the worst of us! However, after the ground rules were set, we had a super enjoyable stay with both of you! Stan - your willingness to stay up late to get us home safely with the option of mcdonalds, was great! Trisha - your motherly touch to keep our etiquette in check and cater for our needs (undercooked bacon haha and extra mushrooms!) We would definitely stay again and loved every minute! A beautiful home with a wonderful couple (Stan & Trish) showing warmth and openness at every opportunity. Our room really was state of the art with every conceivable comfort. This was a welcoming down to earth b&b with full 5 star hotel facilities and service.

Comfortable, modern and clean. Great shower. Hosts were helpful and welcoming. Their cat is a real cutie and also gave a warm welcome.

The only thing that stoped me scoring a 10/10 was that I would have liked one more tea bag. I do love my tea but there were only two. That said, if you are less fussy than me there was an abundance of other varieties such as fruit teas.

Location was perfect for what I needed. The place is immaculate, underfloor heated, hepa filtered air, great shower, lovely hosts, and one of my personal favourites, a smart TV. Nothing negative to say and would definitely stay there again. Can't recommend highly enough. If you want a nice place to eat, there is one 5 mins down the road that the host will tell you all about.

Everything about this BnB is stunning. If you have a huge van like myself then this is a lovely spot. There is enough room to park one ford transit, long wheel base. Breakfast is cooked fresh for you from 7am till 9am. For evening meals you have a lovely Italian restaurant 0.6mls walk which is quite scenic or a pub which is a 5min drive. Lovely comfy bed to.

Could have been better signposted. The Hanging sign at the end of the drive was rather low. Not easy to spot from a car, We had difficulty locating property as 1. it is on a slight bend 2. It was dark (inevitable as check-in time was from 4pm & it was late November) 3, Chelmsford road is a busy road , so difficult to drive along very slowly
