Chatelaillon-Plage is a wonderful town. The market is gorgeous and so french. It is a destination that french people enjoy going to go o holiday. You won't find many english people which is wonderful and a great opportunity to practice your french. There are wonderful restaurants throughout the town, especially if you come off the de la Mer strip and go to the streets behind the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel is worthy of its Mitchelin rating. The menu offers a 3 course meal for 39 euros per person, which was delicious. This is definitely a destination we will be looking to return to.

The beach was super clean and fun to play on. The tide goes out at around 13.00 and comes back around 20.00. The water is luke warm, but as the tide is out most of the day, it means you have to make the most of it when it's in.

We loved the location close to the beach, the relaxing sound of the waves and the view from the balcony. The bed was comfortable, with nice quality bedding. We had a nice meal in the restaurant and it was a treat to have breakfast in our room overlooking the sea. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We parked at the Paul Doumier parking and it was a 5/6 minute walk to the hotel. We had a lovely time and have booked for next year. Air con and WiFi worked well. Breakfast was nice.

The room needs a bit of a refurb. The glass on the closet door was broken and the woodwork chipped and cracked. It as very sunny on the balcony so a sun umbrella would be helpful. Tiny towels! No hooks anywhere for hanging bathrobes, towels or coats. Carpets are a bit dated and shabby but we understand that in a hotel so close to a sandy beach they get a lot of wear and tear.

The room was very comfortable and we really loved the location. Could have done with a bit more storage space for clothes but we managed. The view over the beach was amazing. Quality of the breakfast was very good. Overall a fantastic week spent at the hotel. Very convenient for the beach and the surrounding area.

We ordered 2 rooms. My wife and I lived in one, and our daughter lived in the other. In both rooms our iPhone chargers were stolen. I'm guessing it was the cleaning lady. The hotel compensated us for the cost of the stolen appliances with free breakfasts. Thanks to the administration. But an unpleasant aftertaste remained.

Quite a comfortable room except that the bathroom mirror clock was ‘haywire’ ! Two members of staff went way beyond what was expected and upgraded us to a higher menu level (at no extra cost) - which was much appreciated

We only stayed for 2 days but for longer stays the menu choices might be a little limited.

We had a suite with ocean view, it was spectacular. The cleanliness, the veiw, the space, the aircon, the comfy beds were all top notch. The staff were very professional and helpful. The variety of the food at breakfast was brilliant and the breakfast room itself was beautiful. The hotel is right on the beach. The town itself is beautiful with nice restaurants and a kids funfair (half price Wednesdays).

No on site parking and very hard to find street parking.

a few things need to be updated the shower cubicle glass needs either renewed or a good deep clean around the bottom of the doors and the toilet seats could be easily replaced, they were clean but stained.

The location is superb. In less than 1 .minute you can be on the beach ⛱️ from the bedroom. Enormous selection of local restaurants with superb food and wine.

Rooms are small and not enough room if you intended to stay for more than two days. Service at dinner on our second day was poor and it took over an hour to get served. Not quite like the old days before the hotel was extended.

Parking anywhere close to the hotel is very difficult and requires walking with your bags for 350m
