The staff at Tahrir Hostel went ‘above & beyond’ to make sure everyone was comfortable & had a good time. A BIG THANKYOU to them all. So very kind. Breakfast was an excellent start to the day. And It was luvly to be welcomed back after being out all day on tours & shopping. Comfortable solid bunks wt curtains & personal power sockets. Across the road to the museum. And handy to all that ya need. Met some special people here. Especially the staff. Plus other solo travellers.THANKYOU to them all. Thoroughly recommend as a starting point in Egypt.

I had the exceptionally pleasant stay in Tahrir Square Hostel. The whole hostel everywhere was super clean. The room had a fantastic view of the Tahrir Square. I would like especially thank Duaa, the beautiful receptionist girl, she was such a sweet, warm Angel, always cheery, smiling and helpful with her positive mindset. Her English was so good that I could chat with her comfortably. I was also impressed by Ibrahim, he was the same friendly, intelligent and supportive receptionist that I wish them all the best in the future. Breakfasts were satisfying, the foods were set in a lovely tray and were brought to me everyday by the lovely lady. Thank you to the lady who made the effort and perfectly shaped the towel into a Swan for every bed), thank you to all the friendly teamworkers who made the whole hostel homey and enjoyable. The location was unbeatable, minutes walking distance to tube, bus, restaurants, cafes, shops and the Egyptian Museum, very safe and popular area. In summary, if you are in Cairo, this hostel is the ideal place to stay as it has different choices of rooms, beds all appear as the same as their photos on website. An Excellent hostel, I would highly recommend to everyone. PS: All photos were taken by me:)

The location of the hotel is in a perfect spot. It is right next to the Egyptian Museum, within taxi distance to Zamalek and Giza. You feel like you are in the center of the city. It is really interesting that it is quiet even though it is right next to the busy traffic of Cairo. The hotel staff were all very friendly. We asked for some suggestions for food and souvenirs and we were really pleased with the places they recommended. The breakfast, cleanliness and comfort level is quite sufficient. the attitude of the guests in the hotel towards each other was also very friendly. you can make a lot of new friends. If you go to Cairo, you can definitely choose it.

I stayed 2 weeks ago, I didn't think it's 10 rated hostel but I realised it was one of my best after travelling in Egypt. - I appreciate the recommendations as I didn't get people genuinely recommending anything without trying to sell you something after I left the hostel. - Space. It's nice that I have space for my bags without blocking the traffic. - Light at your bed. - Friendly housekeeper/cook. I love how we were trying to communicate despite there's language barrier. - Free coffee and tea all day!

Some minor problems but easily dealt with: - Switch at the bed is too near to the socket, it wouldn't hold when I use the adapter. - The blanket is used with smell. - Staff constantly walking in and out from the room, any time. Either do the laundry or talk on the phone at the balcony, or sleep on the vacant bed. It's annoying when they leave the door opened after that.

Tahrir Square Hostal, puts to Shame, Many of the 5* Hotels. Personal, personable and warm. Everything worked better than new. I will only come here, in future visits. Lula(Walla'a), Dua'a & Ibrahim... Ambassadors... Not staff.... Ambassadors. A great Pleasure to be here. Lamia makes a delicious and Nutritious breakfast, for You. Not Pre-made, just made now, for You!!

I have the one complaint.... Everyone else in Hostal & Hotel business, Needs to Aspire, to Tahrir Square Hostal, boutique standard!! How can You beat, Splendid?

Location is simply unmatched, in the heart of Tahrir Square. Everything is cozy, clean, comfortable and colorful. Our private bedroom was big, full of light, with a single bed, a double one and three couches. On the floor there are three bathrooms and two showers. The very best is the staff: they are all kind and very helpful, giving welcome drinks and helping us with print papers for the airport. Everyone was super but Marwa was really the best, after a couple of minutes it felt like we were friends since years. Best accommodation in Egypt!

The breakfast was plenty and very tasty, cooked on the spot by the women working there. The room, the bathroom, the common area, everything was super clean and pleasant. The most amazing thing was that the hostel felt like home, a place when you can rest and relax. That was helped by all the nice, friendly and helpful staffs. They were all amazing and I made special friends here but especially Noura was so nice, willing to offer advice and help at any time, had all the necessary information and contacts to arrange great tours and discounts for tourists, also she speaks fluent Japanese so she could help out Japanese people especially. moreover she’s just an incredible person even out of the scope of work. I’m so glad I met her here and became friends with her.

The owner is a really nice man. He helped me everything. A view of the Nile from the top of the building is magnificent. Meals are delicious and sufficient.
