Nice old building though not as nice as the photos suggest. I had a large room with the most comfortable bed of my whole trip away. The restaurant is excellent and well worth a visit. The menu was really good with plenty of choice and very attentive service.

Twenty five euros for breakfast was a definite 'no' from me. If you are spending well over two hundred euros a night to stay there and use the restaurant then why charge an excessive amount for a bite to eat in the morning? If you don't have a huge appetite at breakfast like me then you leave the hotel hungry which is a shame.

The hotel has a lot of charm and character. It is nicely laid out, not too big but not too small. The rooms are "old fashioned" and in many respects you take a step back in time. for example you have a real key to open the door, the furniture is not modern and so reflects the character and charm of the hotel. The rooms are comfortable, however for me the bed was not firm enough but this is a personal choice and not a fault of the hotel.

There is a limited menu in the restaurant. The food is nice and good quality, however the limited choice means that you need to consider other options if staying at the hotel for a longer period of time. There is no lunch time menu apart from the bar menu which is also limited. More choice and lower costs for food would be better from my perspective.

Location. The charm of being inside a chateau in the middle of the lake. The green surroundings. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We all had a good night of relaxing and deep sleep. The hotel uses Rituals for shampoo, conditioner and hand wash and they smell so good. The room also has coffee so that helps and the view from the windows is spectacular. Our toddler was happy to see so many birds and to explore the garden grounds.

We ordered a crib but it wasn't delivered. The sauna is not cozy but functional. We asked what the service charge was for and we didn't get a satisfactory answer.

The room was absolutely superb, offering a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The cleanliness was impeccable, with every detail attended to, making the stay truly pleasant. The service was exceptional, with a friendly and professional staff always ready to assist with a smile. It’s clear that great care and attention to detail are at the heart of this experience. Everything exceeded expectations, creating a stay that was both relaxing and memorable. Highly recommended!

The hotel looks amazing, an amazing location and the staff were great. Great car park. Highly recommend the restaurant.

35 euros for a pet is a joke. My cat only sleeps. I understand that a pet might damage the room and I'd totally accept a hold of 50 euros in case of damage of 15 euros like all the other hotels I've been to but 35 euros for nothing... I won't go back for this price. One of the saunas wasn't working. The spa area looks a bit abandoned and one shower was dripping water the whole time. This is unacceptable in 2023. People don't have water and that water was running the whole time. A recyclable bin is a must, again, in 2023 we should be recycling everything in the rooms. Breakfast can be better for what we are paying.

The gracious property offers an glorious stay in beautiful surroundings. Our dog was welcomed with a blanket, water and a snack but did cost €35,00. Lovely surroundings for a walk. We had a late lunch outside on the patio, and an excellent breakfast looking over a lily pond.

We can’t wait to come back but it is a little off the beaten track for an overnight stay. We will come back and stay longer .

The location / Property is stunning. Very nice moated chateau style castle, which has been tastefully turned into a hotel. The rooms are huge. We had a Deluxe twin and Premium Double, both were great, but I'd go for the Premium. I've had smaller suites! The property is beautiful and well worth exploring the grounds (bug repellent encouraged), even the drive up is wow through a gate house. Our rooms faced onto the lake and the tree in the centre had at least 7 herons nesting in it, which was a fascinating watch waking up over pod coffee in the morning. We got there about 9pm and the restaurant was close to last orders, but the exceeding helpful reception lady got us a table and we were allowed a single course fine dining meal in the vaulted cellar. Not cheap, but worth it!

Being that close to nature, involves nature making noise in the morning! It was a stop over on our return journey and we would have loved to spend more time there!

Beautiful old property sympathetically restored lovely rooms great beds and pillows good room service as restaurant was full so would recommend booking in advance we only stayed one night on our way back home from Germany good breakfast with excellent continental buffet and some hot offerings as well good parking facilities with 5 or 6 electric charging bays

Breakfast was superb! The bed was super soft and comfy! Staff were outstanding! The location was gorgeous and it really shows that the owner and staff care for the property! Super friendly with pets!

The carpets need changing asap, because they were filthy and old. Also, noise travels through the ceiling very easily. The guest on the floor above was walking around the corridors during the night and it felt like they were walking on my ear.

I checked in late due to circumstances. It was quick and efficient. The property is a converted chateau that is tucked away in a nice environment. The hotel informed me they would still hold my reservation in the restaurant. The 3-course prix-fixé dinner was elegant, deliciously prepared and paired with a good selection of accompanying wines. The breakfast buffet had everything one would expect and was excellent. I did not have time to make use of the steam room, but I'm sure that would have been fine too. The bathroom was well-equipped, even with heated floors.

It's not really a 'dislike' per se, but the room could be improved a bit with use of smart 'Domotica' technology. The door opened with an old-fashioned key and there was no safe in the room to protect valuables. Like I said, these are not really complaints, just a suggestion to improve the experience.
