Warwick hall is absolutely lovely, we arrived very late on the first night due to an emergency reason, but Val very much welcome us with lovely smile and was very understanding. The room was equipped with dog bowls and blanket when we arrive which was a nice thoughtful touch. The room we had was a corner room which can oversee the garden and the river - which is absolutely stunning. Bedsheets are clean and soft, very comfortable to sleep in. Rooms and all the area of the building were very clean. Staffs were very friendly and attentive. Both breakfast and dinner were amazing. Area surrounding the house was massive and got a path for a walk along the river, a nice woodland area, very vast area of the property a nice and fun walk to see many of English countryside aspects. What really impressed me was that there’s a “Walled Garden” which is literally a garden surrounded by brick walls just like from The Secret Garden (by Frances Hodgson Burnett)!! The owner has his dog in the house who would come and greet you around the house sometimes, occasionally giving you puppy eyes during breakfast. (she is adorable) The place feels like home almost like an old school English country house vibe from a book, and the hosts were lovely. would love to really come back in the future.

We’ve stayed in a lot of Hotels and B&B’s but we found Warwick Hall to be an exceptionally beautiful property with a luxurious B and B to be matched. Our dog friendly apartment had the additional comforts of a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy living space and a surprisingly comfortable sofa bed. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were truly professional and charming. Breakfast was a real treat and a lovely walk around the picturesque grounds finished off a relaxing stay. We'll definitely be revisiting as soon as possible!!

We didn’t like leaving

It is beautifully kept inside with age appropriate furnishings giving a sense of welcoming and relaxation. Staff lovely and food excellent. I have stayed 3 times now in different rooms and always find them comfortable and welcoming. Will stay again

Had the Birdie Suite which was beautifully furnished, clean and with an amazingly comfortable bed. The shower was excellent too. The location was perfect and the grounds were stunning. Breakfast was perfectly OK.

We had thought we were booking into a hotel and were extremely disappointed that no provision was made for guests arriving tired and hungry. Apparently, unbeknown to us, we should have prebooked dinner. We had been travelling for 8 hours and the last thing we wanted to do was to get into our car to find something to eat. Also, why are there big no entry 🚫 signs at the gates? We drove past twice and eventually ignored the signs only to find it was the correct entrance.

Very dog friendly which was main reason we chose Warwick Hall. We were very comfortable and had a great night's sleep. The grounds and views were stunning. Very good breakfast and friendly helpful staff.

Stairs adjacent to room were rather noisy and could do with carpeted treads. Were woken by rather noisy bottle bin collection around 7.00am but this is probably something that can't be avoided.

The grounds are excellent with acres of beautiful gardens set next to the river Eden. My room was very comfortable and well appointed. The food was also very good. The atmosphere was very relaxed.

Upon arrival there was no one around and I had to find the chef to sort out which room I was in. It was often quite difficult to locate any of the staff, I usually had to go looking in the kitchen to talk to the chef. The hotel is very 'dog friendly' with an 'active' resident dog. If you like dogs that is OK but it might not be to everyone's taste.

Set in beautiful surroundings we really enjoyed Warwick Hall. It's truly English and very comfortable and homelike. Our bedroom was a good size with a large bathroom with tons of hot water and a shower and a bath. We spent several hours by the fire in the big sitting room which was delightfuland also enjoyed an excellent dinner in the lovely dining room. It's a very English experience and we loved meeting Rhubarb their dog, who was very friendly, as well as another guest's dog. After a very good breakfast we walked along the river to the walled garden. We had a lovely time.

I can't really think of anything. Our bedroom was in the rear part of the house which they look to be renovating but it didn't cause us a problem. If you don't want stairs them you'd need to ask for a ground floor room.
