The hotel is just perfect-it has a great location on the beach& close to all restaurants& shops. The rooms are spacious, the grounds are beautifully maintained, the pool area and beach very tidy and the poolbar has a good selection of food& drinks. The best asset of the hotel is its over- the- top staff! Everyone is super friendly and doing their best to make your holiday a special one. Even though it is not a 5 star hotel officially, it truly feels like one to us.

Perfect location with all amenities on doorstep and only a short taxi trip /bus to the old town if you want to explore. Excellent value for money and Nikos was very helpful with any requests we had . Amazing views from the apartments, spacious, great sized pool (and deep too!) and of course a sandy beach on your doorstep if you prefer to swim in the sea. Family friendly, nice food available all day in the bar (Georgia is fabulous!), really loved our stay here and would definitely return!

We recently had a fantastic holiday at this beautiful beachfront establishment, managed by Nikkos. From the excellent communication, even before our holiday began, to the warm welcome, exceptional service, and pristine facilities, everything was perfect. The stunning beachfront location and the attention to detail from the staff made our stay truly memorable. We highly recommend this place and look forward to visiting again. We regret that we were unable to extend our stay.

We arrived late at night but Nikos ( who had arranged for our transport from the airport) was there to welcome us. Our room was adequate for our needs, very clean, with daily maid service, clean towels regularly including pool towels. Robes, slippers, shower gel and shampoo also provided. Kitchen had fridge freezer, small hob, toaster, kettle including pots, pans,cutlery,plates,bowls,glasses,cups,chopping board etc, also washing up liquid, dish cloth and tea towels. Both living area and bedroom had air conditioning, we stayed in 1 bedroom apartment. The huge king size bed was amazingly comfortable, bedroom had flat tv. Wardrobe had a few hangers. The pool was fabulous and cleaned regularly. There were plenty of sun beds and parasols around the pool and also on the private part of the beach allocated to the property. In the garden area by the pool was the beach bar where the lovely Georgia would look after your every needs. Her tuna salads and club sandwiches were delicious, not forgetting her interesting cocktails and coffee frappes with a twist 😁. Georgia and Nikos guided us to many local restaurants and were the perfect tourist guides. They honestly could not have looked after us any better, not forgetting Niko’s parents and Georgia’s husband, they all made our stay feel very personal and all take great pride in their property, it is a little gem that we will be returning to next year x

Nothing for us

We have traveled a lot and stayed in various places, but never have we encountered a friendlier and more welcoming host than Nikos! From the first email with all the information a traveler might need to the free upgrade to a bigger room, he was a perfect host. Always there for his guests, no matter what they might need. When we went to other beaches he lent us sun umbrellas and had tips for everything, from where to have dinner to how to find a doctor in the evening. The hotel is very cosy, situated directly on a wide, sandy beach. There are enough sun beds both around the pool area and on the beach, no matter when you decide to go. Pool towels are free of charge. The rooms are nice, the kitchen has everything you might need. Internet is fast and available everywhere, even on the beach, also free of charge. A maid comes daily to tidy up. Chania is a short drive away, just 7 km. We rented a car, which I can recommend, as the island is very beautiful and it would be a pity not to see as much of it as possible. Thank you Nikos for a wonderful stay! We will definitely come again!

Everything was perfect!

A lovely welcome from the host Nikos and the staff when I arrived at the hotel, great room, much larger than expected and very well equipped. Georgia is wonderful and runs the pool bar, so helpful with everything. Pool is superb and the beach just past that, so everything very close to the hotels rooms. A wonderful hotel with lots of returning guests, year after year, it has a great family atmosphere.

I cannot fault anything in this hotel, I would definitely come back.

Well. What can I say. After my very last minute booking I got a call from the lovely hotel manager Nikos, who sent me some additional pics of the room I stayed to make sure that I'm completely happy. Then after the first night I went to the pool bar and met the wonderful Georgia, who's taking care of every single guest with her heart and serves delicious breakfast, snacks and refreshing drinks. Georgia is the best! A place with a very nice and calm atmosphere right next to the beach. Coming back asap!

We were very happy with our stay in Phaedra. It is a very lovely family owned hotel on a quiet beach. There were always free sun beds by the pool and the beach. No queuing for the beds or extra costs (about anything). The owner Nikos really looks after his customers, he is genuinely doing everything he can from the welcome (or the reservation) to goodbye. We got good tips from him regarding the restaurants and beaches etc. All the restaurants we visited nearby were really good, but we also had lunch at the hotel many times. Very good prices and quality and the lady at the bar was also putting her heart to the work. She’s a keeper! Also the cleaning staff were doing a great job. I can see why many return to this gem. Awesome location near the beach with a lovely swimming pool beachfront. Lovely and welcoming owners Nikos and Georgia who were most helpful with information. We had a split level sea view room and they supplied beach towels, robes and slippers. Room was spacious with a small clothesline on the balcony and pegs. Lovely smelling shampoo and body wash. A kitchenette was provided. Don’t hesitate to book this fabulous property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

That we only stayed 2 nights!

The staff is incredibly kind and sweet, always ready to help with all your needs. The view from the 2nd floor is beautiful and the food and drinks at the pool bar are really tasty with a reasonable price. It was a pleasure to stay at the Phaedra Hotel and it would be a pleasure to come back eventually. Thank you!
