Lovely quirky hotel, located on a quiet street, close to the city center with a bunch of restaurants and a zoo. We were given free transport passes and discounts to a bunch of museums. The check-in and check-out were super easy and fast, and the staff were friendly and helpful :) The hotel itself was quiet and charming. The room was spacious and had a desk and a closet. We took a wider bed, and it was huge! The bathroom had some heating under the floors.

The shower looked like there was a misalignment with planning and execution :) the shower cabin was super tiny, the water tap was right under one's elbow when trying to shower. There were also no kettle or tea/coffee in the room. One of the pillows should be replaced, as it was clumped up inside.

Very clean, the receptionist very friendly. Close to the station and the center.

The room was nice and clean, there was a small table and chair too. The bed was comfortable although it would have been good to have more than one pillow. The bathroom was small but good enough for one night, the shower worked well. I did not have the chance to try the breakfast. Nice and helpful staff. The complimentary water bottle was useful.

Only one pillow for the bed. I did not know that the breakfast was extra cost and not included in the price.

My room was nice and clean, and the hotel's decor was fun and eclectic. Breakfasts were enjoyable with a nice selection of fruits, breads, juices, meats, and more. The hotel was nice and close to Heuwaage for the tram. It's less than 5 minutes' walk to Zoo Basel, which is an absolute must-see. My room came with a discount card for free tram rides and half-price entry to the zoo, another perk of my stay. Easy entry after hours with the room key card, and the elevator made getting my suitcase to my room less difficult.

Beside location which was top and what we needed, the building and interior very interesting and clean and comfortable rooms; the cherry on the cake was for us the hosts and how they approached us and our family. We had 3 kids with us, so a lot of noise, but they were very very nice to fit all our needs and with a big smile. They recommended the ways to the zoo, special activities and museums and even the lady in the breakfast was fine with all the kids requests. Thank you and we really recommend this hotel in Basel.

A beautiful little hotel with polite and helpful staff. Clean room and had all the facilities we needed. Very close ( walking distance 10-15 minutes) to everywhere in the city station, river and all the sightseeings. Christmas markets and nice restaurants were only 10 minutes from the hotel. Love our stay at Birsighof and will definetely recommend it and also stay again next time we are in Basel. Forgot to mention the little magnets from different places of the world on the lift door that give the place a home away from home touch 😊

Overall I liked the hotel. It has a great location (10 mins walking from touristic centers and main routes). Everything was clean; there were more than enough towels; soft bed; no noise and affordable price.

It is a good hotel for its price. Hard to mention what I did not like. Probably would mention about internet, because it was working better when I was laying on one side. The mattress and pillows were too soft for me but I think it is more about personal choice. Moreover there was no slippers. Despite that, I enjoyed

The room was clean and had everything I needed: a comfortable bed, a rack for clothes, a desk to work, a shower, a hair dryer. Heating was great. I also requested earlier check in as I was coming from the night train. Although they were fully booked the previous day, they made it happen.

The way to the nearest tram stop to where I was going required a small hike up the road.

Staff at the reception desk was very helpful and friendly. Location within 10 minutes walking from the train station, on a very quiet street. The room was very clean, with the usual amenities of a 3 star hotel.

My only note is that the bathroom was quite small and the pressure of the water coming out of the shower was a bit weak to my liking, but these are the only remarks I'd make.

An amazing boutique hotel. It is 3 starts although it felt like 5 stars from so many aspects. It is located in a very central area with 5-10 mins walk to the centre and the train station, but it was in a quite street which made it easy to have a good night rest without any noise. The room was super clean and the staff (especially Arbenita) and the owners were lovely and helpful. Even the communal toilet in the entrance was spotless! We also bought breakfast and it exceed my expectations! There were a lot of options like different types of cheeses, olives, salad and it was amazing that we felt like we ate a lot every morning 😀. We are mediterraneans so the breakfast was spot on for us! If you are looking for few nights in a warm, cosy and a spotless place in Basel, this is the place for it! I can't wait to be back! 😊

The only think I didn't like is the fact that we had to leave!
