Peaceful environment in Hanover. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Meals are DELICIOUS! Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Beautiful stylish place in unexpected good taste. Nice local menu options such as 'krummelpap.' The way the outside seating is arranged provide guests to interact with each other if they should want to. The entire atmosphere of the place welcomed strangers to greet and visit with each other.

Felt uncomfortable with a begging child calling to us from the gate. Staff was very friendly but did not immediately offer to help unload or carry luggage. When asked, however, they seemed very willing.

Boutique Guesthouse Hanover was our overnight stop-over on our long road trip from Johannesburg on our way to Cape Town for our December holiday. What a pleasure it was to arrive at this most beautiful gem of a small hotel in the town of Hanover. We were welcomed with open arms (even though we arrived later than anticipated) and enjoyed the most delicious dinner, followed by the best night's sleep. What a treat. I would highly recommend Boutique Guesthouse Hanover - the staff, the decor, the food, the rooms, the cleanliness. It was a joy!

We were blown away from the start. One small cloud … I ordered fried eggs for breakfast and would have liked toast with it. The roosterbroed was ok but came when I had eaten 3/4 of the food (prefer hot eggs so didn’t wait !). It that’s a small issue. My husband’s omelette was delicious, a better choice !

As above … and a small language problem as the concept of hot milk for our flasks, so we could add a tot of coffee to each, wasn’t fully grasped. But we fixed our coffees in the end and that was okay.

The dinner was superb. Being the only guest due to winter out of season, Hanna and the chef went out of their way to ensure I had a beautiful evening. Lighting a fire and setting the atmosphere and serving an outstanding lamb shank. The rooms are so warm and comfortable and clean. Lovely setting and beautiful gardens, my husky Shakira loved her stay. Definately the only place to stay between JHB and CPT. Hanna is amazing!

Excellent hospitality from the staff. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast included in the stay. Very good value for money.

Loadshedding is a SA problem. So the guest house suffers with loadshedding like everywhere else. When power goes off in the early evening or arriving back in the dark with no power, makes things a little difficult. The loadshedding bulbs work fairly effectively for a period of time when the power goes off, so it's suggested to install these around the guesthouse so that we can move around with some light instead of being in the dark. Bedrooms were fitted with one loadshedding rechargeable light. Fortunately, even when the power went off with loadshedding, the wifi was still running so one could at least stilll watch a movie off one's laptop through the wifi. Well my kids could. Otherwise an excellent stay.

I have stayed at this venue before and always had very good service. So the place is beautiful and meet expectations. HOWEVER , please read my commit in what I didn't like

I have to mentioned this to the owner. I fully understand that whilst South Africa are currently battling electricity problems, the staff did not mentioned that if there is load shedding then there is also not water either.!!! This is unacceptable. The staff has to mention this to the guest. There were no water in the room. The staff has to communicate the loadshedding to the guest which they did, however they have to mentioned that there is then no water available for bathing or showering as well. Please this is not a cheap B & B and I feel that not mentioning the water situation to the guests is not good service.

Our stay was exceptional. We were very warmly welcomed on arrival. Breakfast was freshly made and tasty. Coffee was freshly brewed and a nice touch when freshly baked scones arrived with butter, cheese and jam. Room was heated to a comfortable temperature. Bed was clean and very comfortable. Overall we would definitely be back. Thank you Hanna and team. Much appreciated.

It’s just charming. A gem in a little town. It was a cold afternoon on arrival and Hanna had the aircon on in the room to welcome us. Dinner was superb - a fire going and candles added to the atmosphere. Hanna is a delightful host and very helpful. Thank you to Hannah and Audrey.

The water pressure in the shower is very low.

Hanna and her team gave us a warm welcome and were very friendly. Loved the outdoor area with its hollyhocks in bloom and the quirky, unusual decor. The dinner was very good, the lamb shank literally fell off the bone and the chops were delicious.

The wi-fi signal was weak and we very disappointed that the pool had been filled in. We were however, advised that we could make use of the Hanover Luxury Hotel swimming pool.
