Very nice manor house a bit outside of Madona. It is offering a very nice and quiet surrounding, good for relaxation. The rooms are well equipped and decorated and actually spacious. Furthermore, there are many common areas. The breakfast buffet was delicious and also the dinner at the on-site restaurant was very tasty.

The staff was very pushy in up-selling dinner and spa treatments. It is ok to actively offer them (and we had planned to eat dinner at the estate upon arrival), but I felt it was a tick too aggressive. We arrived at 6pm and just wanted to settle in after a long drive (and I gave my mum a helping hand carrying her luggage). Immediately we were asked whether and when we wanted to eat dinner and pressed to immediately decide on the timing (several times). The following day, staff was immediately asking us after breakfast what spa treatments we want to choose and again decide on the timing for dinner, despite they should have known we were leaving that day. Compared to the room, the private bathroom is very small (which is ok, just be aware of the fact).

Nice interior and nice staff. Helena was friendly and gave some suggestions for what to see in the nearby area. Ilze was happy to show and explain every feature of the spa facility. It had two hot saunas, cold pool, hot pool, salt room, steam chairs, outside jacuzzi. Spa cost 16eur for the first hour and 12eur for every next hour. Nice views, area well looked after. Tasty food in the restaurant. Cold draft beer was avaliable in the reception for 6eur. Will definitely return.

It has a wonderful historic feel, yet all modern amenities are there for a comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed the SPA area with an outdoor jacuzzi. Beds were very comfortable, rooms are spacious and the staff is exceptionally well trained and pleasant.

It was not communicated clearly that the SPA area is for an additional cost at an hourly rate. It is still worth to go there, as the SPA is very nice, just something to keep in mind. In the restaurant a few items were unavailable, as they were out of stock, but it was managed nicely with a suitable suggestions by the staff. And it's understandable, as the hotel is in a very remote place.

Nice hotel for a family stay for a couple of days with both pleasant and beautiful interior. The territory is taken care of, a lot of space for walking, sunbathing, fishing and enjoying the nature in general. The hotel restaurant serves exquisite dinner (meat and fish are both delicious, lamb and rhubarb cheesecake is a must) accompanied by selected assortment of wines. We definitely were impressed by the cuisine a lot. The breakfast was also good with local products available, we lacked some sweet pastry in the mornings but may be it is just the matter of taste and habit. The room was clean and cosy, the staff was nice.

Clean room. Pleasant staff. The property itself is really great, lovely place to relax with lovely lake, quiet location and very pleasant to be in. So even having booked the Budget option being there felt great. Breakfast was the star of the show, the property has benches under Wine Arches in the back and tables outside at the front. Relaxing outside under the shade of leaves with a nice coffee was so pleasant and serene. I was going to rate this property an 8 but the staff went the extra mile for me, at 11:10 (after breakfast hours were finished) I asked for pancakes since they were out of them and the lovely lady from the kitchen made pancakes just for me. That really made my day so this place gets a 10.

A few small nitpicks like the TV didn't work and one of the wall lamps in the room didn't work but nothing that really affected my stay.

Wonderful location for a relaxing get-away. It is a former manor house and has a wonderful historic charm and has everything one needs for a short stay. I will definitely return to this accommodation if I happen to be in the area again.

For breakfast there was only white bread. Some rye bread or other gluten-free options would be nice.

Lovely manor with great spa and a decent restaurant in a tranquil setting in Latvia countryside. We stayed not in the main building but stone house which I could recommend for maybe 1 nights stay only since it’s only with shared facilities. Although everything is very clean. I hope next time I manage to book a number in the main building. SPA is small but really enough, since it has various type of sauna and even outdoor jacuzzi.

Sound isolation in the stone house is almost non existing but it’s not a complaint, rather an inevitability.

The rooms, Night Spa and breakfast were excellent. We especially compliment the spa employee, she was humorous and lovely.

We booked one room for three, but there was no bed ready for the third. At the restaurant, we waited an hour and a half for dinner, even though we had booked a table in advance and the restaurant knew the size of our group. The restaurant's trainee was very keen, but clearly everything was too much for her on her own.

Manor in a beautiful natural location. Great place to enjoy peace and quaiet. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast is simple, but delicious. In the morning it was possible to swim in the spa. Regarding the visit to the spa, you must remember that you need to make an appointment in advance.

Very good breakfast, Historic Building Excellent staff Laidback ambiance Good clean cozy spa with several saunas Very picturesque Lots of private places to chill Nice touches like self served local beer tap Very comfortable bed

Rooms are a bit tired, for the full price they should at least repaint them The food in the restaurant did not live up to the Gutenbergs standards. At least the prices were good Perhaps the cricket field is better a little further from the terrace. The gorgeous ducks in the lake seemed fake :)
