It was all ok. We arrived late at night so we had code to get in. Our room key was easily located and the room was all ok, sufficient for our nights stay as we had to leave early next morning. We did not see any staff due to our late arrival and early departure which was no problem. We were able to make a coffee in the morning so it all worked well.. the room was clean, bed comfy so no complaints.

I did not realise it was so far off the main highway as you had no availability in Ussel. Beautiful scenery and wonderful countryside though. We had to get to Annecy so might have been better to book in Clement. All in all good experience 😄

Was expecting routiers 14e50 meal, but not served Friday evening. Everything else was fine.

Excellent host, Betty is always on hand whatever our needs.

Beautiful vintage hotel

Good basic hotel, nothing fancy.

The location was beautiful and away from the motorway/busy roads which was nice as a rest stop. The room was pretty comfortable and it came with a private bathroom which was a bonus. The restaurant offered good food at a good price. There were plenty of locals which is always a good sign. Oh and breakfast was included.

There was a generator right next to our room which was very loud. It turned off at around midnight and switched back on at around 7 am. Although it was particularly loud, you could hear it on all floors.

I don't suppose many Brits will ever visit Neussarges-Moissac, it's small village in Cantal at the foot of the Monts du Cazallier and also the junction of two secondary railway lines, hence the reason for our visit as one of the lines crosses the Garabit Viaduct, designed and built by Gustav Eifel (he of Eifel tower fame). It was once the highest railway bridge in the world. This journey was discovered within the travel pages of The Guardian and is exceptionally cheap, the fare being only £14.50 for a five-hour train ride from Beziers with the beautiful scenery of the Languedoc there to view for free. Chez Betty is the only accommodation to be found and is within very easy walking distance of the railway station. It is clean, welcoming and very reasonable but the restaurant is usually closed on a Sunday and there appeared to be no other establishments in the village, except a Tabac which sells beer and snacks. Petit dejeuner was available on the weekday morning that we departed, basic but the French bread was delicieux!

Usually, this would have been a very tranquil place but on the Sunday evening we stayed there was a village celebration going on with fairground rides, bands and a very loud disco in the courtyard of the hotel. This went on until past midnight but we couldn't say anything because, obviously, the villagers were enjoying themselves and the upside was that we got something to eat and drink which would not otherwise have been available on a normal Sunday. We are seniors citizens and our disco days are well gone!

Location is excellent with parking facilities next door. Room was clean and nice.

Breakfast - No alternative to cow's milk. Restaurant - No options for pescetarians or vegetarians; only meat options were available. There wasn't a single pasta dish or any type of seafood. So, I had to order an omelette for the kids, which was charged at 11 euros each. I think the staff, including Betty, could be more friendly with us, no smiles at all.
