Amazing location in a quiet part of Montmartre. We had a 6th floor room with stunning views of Sacre Coeur cathedral. The room was tiny (as advertised), but very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Everything in the bathroom worked as it was clean. The hotel location is truly fantastic, it's a quiet part of Montmartre, away from the tourist madness, but within walking distance of all the attractions. The area is full of cafes and bistros that are mainly used by locals, no tourist traps here! There are a number of metro stations all within easy walking distance and a couple of supermarkets nearby for supplies. The staff are very helpful and all speak English, there is a free luggage storage room and the foyer has a great area for relaxing. Thus could be the best value for money accommodation in all of Paris, definitely coming back!
It didn't bother us, and we knew in advance that there is no lift, so if you are older or have health issues, request a lower floor.

We needed a base to explore Paris, wanted a private room and wifi, and didn't mind the other details (and can't spring for a fancy hotel). This was exactly it. Beds were comfy, a locking safe provided security, windows facing indoor ventilation courtyard brought fresh air, private bathroom was compact but workable-- we didn't realize laundry was available until after we were packed to go, but that's a plus. My partner did a remote class for his grad school while there and wifi was fine. In the heart of Montmartre ten minutes from Sacre Couer and dozens of brasseries, cafes, two train stations, plenty of kebabs, and in easy walking distance of historic flea markets.
If either of us was ten pounds heavier or a few inches taller, the shower would have been too small to use without bumping our elbows-- but that comes with the building. Loud students tromping around are to be expected too.

Fantastic location, in a quiet area near the Mairie du XVIIIème and opposite the Bibliothèque, but within easy walking distance of Chateau Rouge, Montmartre and Pigalle. Live music, theatre, food and spices from all over the world. The Montclair is a welcoming hostel and our twin bedded room felt like a comfortable budget hotel room, with a private bathroom, a desk and 2 chairs. The Montclair has safe boxes and luggage storage facilities. The kitchen offers a hot drinks machine and other facilities.
I had paid for the room at the time of booking and was asked to pay again at the hostel on arrival. Even though i provided printed proof of my payment to booking.com at the reception desk, staff said that it was a mistake by booking.com - It was raining and we needed a room, so we paid and will take it up with booking.com who have proved to be excellent at reimbursing when there have been blips in the past.

For the price we paid it was excellent. Don’t expect to have a 5-star hotel. It was clean and the room with 4 beds were big, a lot bigger than we thought. On the other side, we had a private toilet and shower, each one separately from the other and they were TINY, but enough for one person to be inside, not more. The beds were comfortable. One thing I can complain is that there’s some kind of school next to it and the kids, being kids were loud, and I know it’s no the hostel’s fault. But with the windows closed and the a/c that wasn’t a problem really.
Not all the people at the reception was nice, except for 2 girls who were really nice. The guys weren’t so friendly!

The room was comfortable and the beds were really soft as for all of us to have a great sleep for all three nights. They gave us clean towels and shower gel, which was very nice. I read some reviews saying that the hotel was noisy at night but that was not the case at all. It was actually very quiet and nice. All staff were very kind to us. You could also buy drinks at the reception, and there are two 24h supermarkets very close to the hotel. There are two metro entrances leading to different lines very close (2-4 minutes) to the hotel. There are very nice cafes and restaurants surrounding the hotel. The hotel is provided with a locker room in case you need to leave your luggage before the check in or after the check out. The neighbourhood is overall very peaceful.
The walls and the corners of the room had some mold, as well as the shower. The lower part of the doors were also a little bit damaged by humidity. Although we really appreciated that the beds were extremely comfortable, I think the room needed an overall refurbishing.

- Room was very clean, door locked easily and we felt very safe, good facilities for what we paid (hairdryer, towels, soap all provided). Beds were comfy enough and we got a good night’s sleep most nights :) - Staff were nice and approachable, front desk well staffed. Staff also spoke good English which was not taken for granted as our French is not the best! - Great location, near Montmartre and Sacre Couer but also right next to a Metro station so could get to central Paris for more sightseeing easily. Also a bar and cafe on the same street so easy to get brunch or drinks without straying too far. - Overall just a pleasant stay! If you’re not really fussy and like good value for money this is a good hostel to stay in: clean, well supplied and safe which is all you really need.
- Loads of stairs as our room was on the sixth floor, not a huge problem for us but as there’s no lift I wouldn’t recommend this hostel to anyone with mobility issues. - Toilet and sink/shower in different rooms - not a huge issue for us just a little weird! - No working AC so got very hot - we’re British so used to no AC during heatwaves but something to bear in mind if you’re coming during summer. - Having to hand the key to our room into reception every time we went out and collect it again whenever we got home was mildly inconvenient (although we understand that this helps keep the hostel secure)

Ecellent location and value for money in the heart of Paris. Perfect for our family for a short stay. The room was spacious, clean and the staff were really friendly and spoke excellent English. Its only a 10 minute walk to Sacre Coeur and few minutes to the lcoal metro station. The streets around are beautiful to wander around in and plenty of nice local restaurants ear by. We weren't expecting luxury by any means, just somewhere comfortable in a good location for a decent price and this place ticked all the boxes.
As people have mentioned the sound proofing isnt great so you can hear people walking down the stairs but really not bad at all. The bathrooms are also very small, but for the price you cannot expect anything more.

Rooms were very clean, and big. Beds were comfortable. There were lockers for your valuable items. Washroom with soap, shampoo, towels and with a very hot shower. Both day and night staff were very helpful with 24 hour service. They Help us with language translation too. Kitchen was well equipped with a cooker, microwave, fridge, cutlery and toaster. Kitchen was open from 0700 to 2400. Breakfast time was from 0700 to1000. If your children are sleeping after 1000 you can take the breakfast tray to the room. Breakfast was very good. Breakfast tray was labeled with our names. Hostel was located near metro station, food stores and restaurants. Bring your photo 2.5 cm by 3 cm and buy Navigo pass for 1-5 zones from terminal 2E to use trains, busses and metro. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mn-S_om21c
It was raining during our stay in Paris ,please take an umbrella with you. We did not have a necessity for an air conditioner. Orange juice and cheese were included in breakfast. You can by fresh fruits and eggs from food store for very cheep price from Supermarché G20 and boil eggs in the kitchen. Navigo pass information https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-34pIsWZPk We planned our trip from Monday to Friday PARIS Biggest Tourist SCAMS (2021) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m4xQMWoXdc 4 of us were very careful with our belongings.

Really enjoyed our stay! the place of the hotel is just perfect and it is it's best attribute, 2 mins away from the metro station and 10 mins away from the Sacred Heart Basilica (which is worth a visit). Montmatre was the best place to stay in our short Paris trip and we really enjoyed the neighborhood. There are supermarkets 5 mins away and a kebab place that stays open til 3am some streets away. The staff was friendly and whenever we had a small problem they helped us. The room was a bit small but with a very comfy bed and it still had everything you need inside! We asked to be on a high floor and they fulfilled our claim. The price was very good for what we got! I would visit it again (but I would not choose to be on the 5th floor this time with all the stairs haha)
The heater wasn't strong and the rooms were a bit small, but finally these were not big problems. Be ready for a lot of stairs!

Excellent value for money considering how expensive accommodation in Paris can be. We booked a double room with a private bathroom and they ended up giving us a quadruple room comprising of 1 room with a queen bed and another with 2 bunk beds. Although we didn’t use the room with the bunk bed since there was only two of us, the room size where the queen bed was located at was relatively large for Paris. Rooms and Toilets were clean, and they even provided towels, toiletries and a hair dryer. There is a luggage storage room too in the lobby. Staff were friendly and made check in and check out very easy. Highly recommend this place.
The walls were thin. Since our room was located near the wooden staircase, we could always hear people walking up and down.
