This review applies to our second 5-day stay at Adelphi49, chosen because our friends who reside just down the street recommended it. We reserved a 1-bedroom unit, of which there are only 2 on each floor, located on either side of the elevator. We could hear street traffic noise from our first room, so for this stay, we switched to a room on the other side of the elevator, and it was much quieter. Also, this room was much more light as there is an opening between the adjacent buildings. We very much enjoyed the roof-top pool this time.

None of the 1-bedroom units have the view over the garden next door, but no one explained that in reply to my request for a garden-view room. They just said it couldn't be guaranteed. Lazy response. On our 2nd visit, we accidentally left the electronic "clean room" indicator in the wrong setting, so they didn't clean our room or leave water. When we asked for water, the clerk refused. This is especially ungracious in a country where you cannot drink the tap water, and must go to a convenience store to get some. These were the only problems we encountered.

We got for ourselves a One-Bedroom Suite with breakfast at Adelphi Forty-Nine, near Playscape 49 (dog park). A nice location at Thong Lo. The staff were polite and well-trained. The breakfast was great! There were an induction hob, a washer/dryer, a microwave, two TVs (one in the hall and one in the bedroom), a rain shower and a bathtub in the apartment. Wifi was great. One could request online for additional amenities via the link provided by the hotel.

We would love to stay at a higher floor.

Nice hotel with beautiful swimpool view. Big and nice apartments, good located hotel - close to center but located around quiet area (compared to others in Bangkok). Nice place if you plan to visit Bangkok, good access to BTS.

Between 2022 and 2023, I have stayed in Adelphi 49 close to 10 times for both work and leisure in Bangkok. During all of my stays in the past 1 year, I’ve been well taken care by front desk staff Yui and Joe. They are the reason why I always return to Adelphi 49 and I have not stayed in another hotel in Bangkok since. The housekeeping staff in Adelphi 49 are also very lovely and hardworking, making sure that my rooms are always well cleaned and smelling good. Rooms are massive and well furnished with modern taste. One TV in the living room and one TV in the bedroom. The living room has a 3-seater couch, desk & chair, and also a dining area. Kitchen area is also well equipped with everything I need including washing machine, fridge, stove, microwave, and lots of clean shiny utensils. The bathroom is also HUGE and comes with a rain shower, and even a bathtub. The toilet seat has built-in bidets with multiple functions. The spacious bedroom also has a vanity area. Overall, there are also lots of storage space. This is truly a hidden gem in Phrom Phong / Thong Lo area. For its price, the value is unbeatable compared to other hotels that charge double but can’t even deliver half of what Adelphi 49 offers in their room. In addition to the excellent rooms, front desk staff Yui and Joe always go the extra mile to help me e.g. arranging transport to other parts of Thailand like Pattaya and they always remember my preferences for specific rooms. It’s their warm service that always make me feel welcomed in Adelphi 49, and every time I see them I feel like I’m seeing my old friends again. I’ve travelled the world extensively but I’ve never experienced such wonderful hospitality in any accommodation, except Adelphi 49. Thank you P’Yui and P’Joe for always making my stay memorable and comfortable, and also the hardworking housekeeping that I’ve never got to thank. I will always look forward to my stay here.

Beautiful one bed suite, exceptionally friendly staff and a fab breakfast buffet. The rooftop pool was an added bonus. This hotel is also in a great location.

There could have been a few more vegetarian options at breakfast!

It was in a quiet street (soi 49) not too far from centre. All the facilities of a self contained apartment. Friendly helpful staff. Pool was refreshing. Salty rather than chemical.

I thought the description matched the reality so was happy.

One-bedroom unit was good for a couple who have different sleeping hours. There are only 2 such units on each floor, one on either side of the elevator: the units numbered x01 (where x is the floor) open to a gap between adjacent buildings, letting in more light. The x16 units face a wall and are subject to more street noise. The washer/dryer unit in the room was fabulous! We ran small loads daily to freshen our clothes. They provided extra detergent as needed. The provided ironing board & iron are of good quality. Wi-Fi was fine: we could stream news. Good lighting for reading. The roof-top pool was lovely, so refreshing after a day in the heat & humidity (even in February)! The LOCATION was great for us as we had friends who live on the same block. Bed was comfortable, robes were most welcome. Bidet toilet seat had many functions and was labeled in English. Buffet breakfast was OK, convenient and priced right. We went next door to Hungry Pack for breakfast several times (open at 9). Housekeeping good.

Location: street is very narrow and has no sidewalks, making it treacherous to walk in this area. It takes 60 minutes to get to the sights of Bangkok (such as Royal Palace) by BTS/taxi/car, so this isn't a great location if that's your focus. The hidden bidet control panel should be clearly marked so that the guest can adjust settings, e.g., seat heat, water temperature. You could easily add a label in Thai, Japanese & English. Faucet in unit 301 leaked: the dripping woke us up.

Our family had a fantastic stay at Adelphi Forty-Nine in Bangkok, and it truly exceeded our expectations. One of the first things that impressed us was the cleanliness of the hotel. The room was spotless, and every corner of the property was well-maintained, which made our stay comfortable and worry-free. The hotel’s convenient location was another highlight. It’s close to Thonglor BTS station, making it easy to explore the city. We also appreciated how near it was to convenience stores, grocery stores, and a variety of restaurants. This was especially helpful for quick errands and meals for our family. The hotel itself has an on-site restaurant, which served delicious food, making dining in a breeze when we didn’t feel like venturing out. Our room was ideal for a family stay—spacious and well-equipped with a kitchenette, washing machine, and a private balcony - special mention on the washing machine as we had to do laundry of baby clothes every day. These amenities made it feel like a home away from home, giving us the flexibility to handle family needs seamlessly. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the exceptional service. The staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and happy, always welcoming us with warmth and a smile. And the baby cot - thanks, Adelphi Forty-Nine!

It's a bit pricey though. But despite of this, the overall experience at Adelphi Forty-Nine was still enjoyable.

We stayed 10 nights at this hotel. We loved having our own little apartment (58 m2) with everything we needed, in a very central location. We had a nice kitchen and washing machine, and the bathroom had a Japanese-style toilet. The apartment was kept impeccably clean by our amazing room attendant t, Poy. She was ever so kind and helpful, and made our stay a very pleasant one. The Reception staff were also very friendly, specially Fab.The infinity pool on the 7th floor also lovely, and perfect for us. We didn't use the gym though. Thong Lo BTS was just 7 minutes walk away. Terminal 21 and Central World were easy to get to by the SkyTrain. There were loads of restaurants, cafés, and grocery shops nearby

Nothing to dislike.

Room is very new - particularly impressed by the self flush toilet and the Samsung washing machine. Accessibility to all Japanese TV channels is good - although the reception at times not stable. Location is excellent esp. with its proximity to the Japanese eateries, supermarket - even a hotspring with massage at end of street! Within walking distance to BTS (10mins) and a 7-Eleven (4 mins). All staff are nice and friendly. Swimming pool is small but good enough esp. only 3 persons can use it together at each slot. Like the leather sofa and non-carpeted floor as you can tell they are well-cleaned! Nice desk for work and lighting is good. Very comfy bed! Coffee of the canteen is good.

Breakfast is not hot enough and the canteen is quite windy with the aircon wherever i sit. Basically the fan is blowing right into the food. Fruit & salad are not well-filled, only 1-2 pieces left even when i arrive at 0830. The jam for toast is not nice at all. Omelet is good but staff never know how to do sunny side up eggs... always completely cooked. Not enough adaptor to be loaned from front desk (from 3 pins to 2 pins type only 2ea available), better bring your own.
