From the moment we arrived we knew we had found something special. The staff were amazing and kindly gave my daughter a present as it was her birthday the next day, which made her day. The grounds are beautiful and the Hub is fantastic. All this and we haven't even made it to our lodge yet. The lodges themselves are breathtaking! The grounds they are set in make if feel like you are in a Swedish village made up of two story wooden lodges. The interior of the lodges are outstanding, beautiful furniture and appliances. And the hot tub is such a special treat,.especially for my two girls. We couldn't have asked for a more, easy, relaxing time away We definitely didn't want to leave and will 100% be back.

When we got to the hotel the staff who greeted us were very friendly and welcoming. We had an upgrade on our original room and it was exceptional - it featured a sauna and a shower/steam room and was the perfect end to our week spent travelling in Devon and Cornwall. We had drinks in the cellar bar and again the staff were very nice. We strolled around the grounds of the hotel and enjoyed a game of croquet and pickleball the following morning. The deer hide is a lovely touch, just to disconnect and sit in the woods for a while. Would highly recommend a stay in this hotel and we are hoping to return when we are back in that part of the world.

beautiful grounds very quiet and peaceful. nice size pool and comfy room.

i went for one night and used the inside pool on the first day and again in the morning. the pool is nice and heated the only problem would be the changing rooms hadn’t been cleaned from the night before as there was the same amount of hair on the floor from the previous day as well as the same pink hairband. the sauna also had red spots (blood?) on the floor and bench which again was there two days in a row. food wise it’s bougie and overpriced! it would be nice to see some “normal” dishes on the menu i.e spaghetti bolognaise, cottage pie, etc. i don’t really think the hotel knows who to cater for as they have a lot of activities for children but the menu doesn’t reflect that! rooms and hotel could use a little tlc to maintain cobwebs, dead bugs and dust.

Spacious room! Lovely room and view! Great food. Great location. It’s just the country lanes, because it’s in the middle of nowhere where! We nearly got stuck in a county lane because it was all flooded. Very difficult to get to and from the hotel.

I was disappointed that the pool stated it was “indoor HEATED” when in fact it was cold. It felt SLIGHTY warm ish in certain areas. But I shouldn’t be advertised as heated because it wasn’t. Disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t working. I was looking forward to that. A rob would have been nice to have in the rooms to go down to the spa with, that would of made it a nice touch.

Fantastic place to stay if you have kids! Well priced and so much to do. Loved the games room and variety of bigger games (pool/ table tennis/ air hockey) and Christmas puzzle section. Accommodation was fabulously comfortable and warm - excellent facilities! Really nice to have heated towel rails to get things dry. Kids loved range of free activities on offer- tennis/ access to footballs, pool… Loved being able to go to Manor House for a drink at happy hour :) Jacuzzi was a fantastic bonus! Great daily communication on text of what was on offer that day. Friendly staff

There was no where to walk dog off lead which is difficult with a spaniel. The enclosed area was too small and very muddy! Bathroom had quite a few cobwebs Swimming pool/ changing room needs doing up but we liked sauna and steam room Food at Manor House and paid activities way out of our price range so didn’t do any of it and self catered. Christmas area was still open despite it being new year which was lovely- asked about a Christmas film but was told, they had finished. Just a suggestion ….a New Year’s Day film?! All little improvements- overall our stay was fab and we are very grateful- thanks! 😊❤️

Beautiful resort with very welcoming staff. The restaurant were excellent at accommodating my food intolerances amd all of the food was delicious. Our room was spacious and clean. The activities were fun with very patient instructors.

We found it really hard to fault the hotel, but if we were being picky, the water pressure wasn't great. Even though we flagged this to maintenance, the response was to try showering not at peak times. As my partner and I shower around midday/midnight, these are hardly peak times. We heard many other hotel guests had this issue, and this was the only reason we couldn't give the resort a 10/10.

We stayed in the beautiful Manor Suite which was perfect for our chillout getaway. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and additional items were provided on asking i.e. hot milk & baked beans. We ate dinner on one evening which was very tasty, staff were attentive and friendly, excellent service. bar area got busy but we took our drinks to one of the beautiful drawing rooms on the 1st floor so not a problem finding somewhere to sit.

We had a couple of minor issues with the room (hardly worth mentioning) which were dealt with in a friendly and effective manner these were messaged through to staff by using the App. Water pressure in the shower needs looking at but we had a beautiful bath which more than made up for it.

accommodating receptionist's helped us change our original booking to a lodge without it being a problem. Really happy friendly a warm reception. Amazing value for all the facilities and the lodge had a lovely Scandinavian vibe it was spotlessly clean , practical as I. well stocked kitchen utensils ,luxury thick carpets up the stairs and in bedrooms and great little hot tub. The little woods around the place was lovely too. Private and not overlooked.

waiting half hour for food at the hub when about to faint from hunger. That I wasn't informed of the main hydro pool not working this is why I changed booking to lodge with hot tub.

Breakfast was a delight. It was set out in a beautiful room that overlooked the grounds. Coffee was brewed and cooked breakfasts were served to order rather than self service. It was a meal to linger over, really nice ambience . Bathroom was beautiful and spacious, also immaculately clean with modern fittings. A couple of quibbles - see below. Very nice heated swimming pool, with towels provided at no extra cost. .

The bedroom was a little cramped. Not quite enough surfaces to put things on. The wardrobe door squeaked horribly. Not being very tall I found that the in situ bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the shower cubicle were placed a bit high, quite hard to press down. Also why do hotels only ever provide one hook in the bathroom, why not two so that we could both hang our towels up? Dinner was delicious but quite expensive!

The location is amazing, the Manor House is great and we really enjoyed having tea in the Morning Room. The staff was friendly and very attentive, especially in the restaurant. There is an excellent amount of activities to choose from, so it's hard to get bored even on a rainy day. The spa facilities were great, the food was very tasty and our room was cosy and very clean. Very useful app that lets you track the activities for the day! The only thing we didn't get was the complementary glass of fizz we were supposed to receive at dinner when we pre-booked, but we didn't mention this to the waiters, so that's also our fault! In no way has this affected our experience.
