Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the dining options. Pool atmosphere was fun - not too loud or noisy, but active during the day and relaxing at night. Lobby area is very elegant and welcoming. Room was exceptional. Have stayed here twice in the last year and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms are large and have basic amenities: refrigerator, ice bucket, small coffee maker. My room did not have a microwave. Had access to the spa: jacuzzi and indoor pool

The jacuzzi and indoor pool area could use slight improvements. For example, the jacuzzi needs to be refinished - surface was very rough. Lighting in the indoor pool area had lights out, some crown molding needs touching up and ceiling tiles need to be replaced.

Enjoyed the Bayside balcony room...nice view to relax and enjoy coffee. Spa facilities are wonderful...used steam room, sauna, and whirlpool. Locker room with showers were great!! Room and beds very comfortable. The ability to walk downtown was perfect.

Bathtub was chipped and not very appealing. The toilet when refilling sounds like a jet airplane, but got used to it. Sometimes no towels were available in spa and pool area. Outside main pool does not have enough chairs or space for all guests.

The room was great, an amazing view. The staff at the poolside bar are great. Loved the pool!

The breakfast we had at the Fountain Grill was terrible. The coffee was very bitter/old. The grits were cold and hard (I believe microwaved from earlier that morning). For the price, there should have at least been two slices of toast. Very disappointed, we didn't eat another meal there, and won't go to this restaurant again.

Best thing about this hotel is that they provided water dispensers everywhere. LOVED that! Size of the room was great. Beds were very comfortable. View was wonderful! Very quiet and peaceful!

The room smelled musty/moldy. We know the hotel is 100 years old, so we get it, but it was a bit smelly. Could see blackish mold by venting air ducts and on some hallway ceiling tiles. We thought we heard birds in the ceiling in the hallway on our way to our room.

Love the location, the view from our balcony front room, ate an excellent meal in the restaurant. Pool is nice, it was spring break so there were a lot of loud children there. Easy to rent bicycles, lots of beautiful walking trails.

Rooms need better lighting for reading, bathroom is huge but does not have a lot of shelf, storage, or hooks for towels.

We love everything about the Safety Harbor Spa

If you have to check out at 11:00 you should be able to check in at 11:00 the day before not 4pm... If checkout is at 11:00 and somebody calls up and requests for a late checkout it should be at 2:00 p.m. not 12:00 we're looking for more than just a one hour late check out.. especially when you're paying $300 for one night to just sleep in a bed.

The location is perfect as the hotel overlooks the bay and is at the end of main street. Lots of restaurants, shopping, and parks within walking distance. The grounds are well kept and the lobby and ballrooms are very beautiful. I also love the fact that you have access to the natural spring water on every floor. The spa had nice facilities and was relatively inexpensive. Breakfast was very good!

The staff was either very nice or very rude, I never knew what I was going to get so I just tried to find a friendly face. The rooms smelled of mildew and my bath tub was cracked.The spa has members and they are catered to as such, everyone should be treated the same but this is not the case unfortunately.I was out on the balcony with my newborn and paint chips came raining down on us. The hotel should tell patrons that maintenance should be expected ofcourse this was not communicated.

Spa is huge. Great amenities. Even if you don’t get a paid service it’s worth to go in there for the jacuzzis, sauna and steam room. They have free delicious and cold spring water by the pool to fill your cup. Hotel sits on a water spring so you get to enjoy the spring water in all the pools.

Spa needs to be renovated. Looks old. It’s like a maze difficult to get around. Long hallways in spa.

the location was amazing.

there were a few things that made it less than perfect. definitely needs some updating in rooms and common areas. we had an issue with ants in our room we dealt with it but it was a bit annoying. the pool area was not large enough to accommodate the number of guests that were there and pool seating was a challenge

The bed was so comfortable as if I was floating in a dreamy cloud. Great view of the pool and flora. I love dancing to Latin music at the bar. The ballroom was elegant and food at the restaurant was great. Just a walk across the street was filled with great restaurants and wonderful atmosphere. Beautiful and upscale location.
