The hotel worked just fine for one nights sleep before heading to Grutas Tolantongo the following morning. It was late when we arrived (10:30 pm or so) and there was someone there to greet us. He was very friendly and walked us down the road a little bit to park and stay at a secondary location. The property is pretty minimal, we actually weren't sure if there was anyone else there. There was no one at reception over night, but it was clean, the bed was comfy, and there was hot water for the shower. Overall, totally worth it if you're not willing to drive the extra 40 minutes to Tolantongo to see if they have availability onsite.

There was a pretty bad smell coming out of the bathroom sink drain. There was a drain blocker which helped significantly while not in use, but we still kept the bathroom door shut at all times to avoid the smell leaking into the room. Late night, the whole town is asleep, so make sure to grab whatever dinner/drinks you might need before arriving.

Nice hotel for short staying. The staff is exceptionally kind.

The room is noisy, we have heard other people inside the hotel and traffic on the street (thought the traffic was very scarce). There were no good restaurants and food shops. The town looks well but it is almost empty, without people like in apocalypse movies! You should bring food with you or have a lunch before arrival. Anyway it is very good option for this price 😃

Everything, the room with three beds is big with lot of space. The bathroom has two toilets and three showers and three hand sink and the space is huge. Good WiFi connection . Close to Las grutas de Tolantongo

The location is perfect because it is not I side the village so it is really quite and nice environment.

We decided to book a room instead of risking it at Gruto Tolantongo where the hotels do not take reservations. it was worth every penny to have the peace of mind knowing we had a nice, clean, simple room to spend the night. Our hostess was fantastic about providing us with a space heater on an unusually cold night. She also recommended an excellent pizza place in town that made delicious pizza.

The Wifi didn't work but that was to be expected. We came prepared with videos downloaded on our devices to keep ourselves entertained. Other than that there was nothing we didn't like about this hotel.

No breakfast, but we were offered use of the kitchen. Beds were comfy, everything clean, good shower. Peaceful - we slept really well after a day at Talantongo. Pleasant, friendly little town. Lovely owner. Nice mountain views from the upstairs room (downstairs looked a little dark).

About 15 mins drive off the main road to Talantongo, so not as straightforward as we thought to get there by bus for the day (two buses) - we were waiting on the main road for our connection each way for a good while.

Amazing staff. Really, really friendly and we really felt comfortable. They went out of their way to make us feel at thome.

The rooms are kind of simple, but the staff is so incredibly nice.
