Cozy hotel in the middle of nowhere, we stopped here for one night during road trip. - The room was spacious and had nice private garden, rooms are new -The personnel was welcoming and friendly. - Good variety on breakfast, plus tasty coffee - Big parking area - Bathroom had all necessary supplies - little individual - Complimentary water in the fridge, natural and with gas - Very quiet

- No plug next to the bed, need to put your phone next to TV for charging - No vegetables at breakfast - No slippers or robe, which is usually a standard for 4*

The service of the hotel staff was amazing! We were always helped in a very friendly and helpful manner. On the day of checkout our son was sick with high fever. We asked if it would be possible to check out a little later and the hotel staff allowed us to stay in our rooms for an additional two hours even though there were other guests coming. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Shower was working amazing with very good water pressure and temperature control. The wireless internet access was also superb, the best we have yet experienced. There is loads of parking space at the hotel grounds where you can safely park your car.

The only small complaint would be that the breakfast selection was a bit limited.

We really liked the breakfast, not only because of the variety of offerings, but especially because of the extremely friendly and attentive Mr. Loris, who remembered exactly what each of us was drinking. He spoiled the children with a luxurious, silky hot chocolate, and my husband and I enjoyed an excellent cappuccino with a hint of cocoa on top of the thick foam. Let us add that Mr. Loris devoted himself with the same kindness to all the guests in the dining room. Special thanks also to the friendly Mr. Romeo, who helped us with a flat tire, and of course to the attentive receptionist Luis, who made sure our rooms were always sufficiently heated. Thank you all for an unforgettable experience.

The shower in one bathroom was leaking a little, but nothing that would bother us much

Despite being a little remote there are still a couple of places within walking distance to eat. You may be advised to avoid cycling there but it’s a really nice place to cycle to and from.

I asked if I could hire a bike from there and was told that it’s not a very suitable place to cycle. When I got there though it turned out to be a really nice place to cycle. Its off the main road between towns but still on a very nice winding mountain road that wasn’t too steep further either climbing or descending. Don’t be discouraged from cycling here if you have any confidence in your cycling ability.

We had an amazing experience at Meridiana Country Hotel Calenzano. The rooms are impeccably clean and well-appointed, each with its own terrace, providing a perfect space for relaxation. The breakfast is generous with a wide variety of options, and the coffee is excellent – a perfect way to start the day. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in Calenzano!

Clean property with a great view, the room was clean, bed comfortable, the breakfast included with the stay is excellent,ac worked well, all the people working there are great, ready for everything you need, especially Matteo. It’s 10 miles away from Florence, you need a car to move around since is away from everything, I recommend this place!

Wonderful place, very welcoming service. Room was spacious, bed very comfortable. Surrounding area is green with picturesque hills around. Breakfast is delicious with a variety of sweet and salty dishes. Absolutely recommended.

I would suggest to put mosquito nets on the bathroom windows. That would allow the guests to leave them open and it would reduce the humidity in the room helping the walls to get dry.

Everything! This little gem is perfect for your stay in the outskirts of Florence, especially if you’re traveling by car. It’s close to the highway. Employees are so kind, the guy at the front desk even reserved us a room with a little courtyard because we were traveling with our dog. It has a convenient complimentary breakfast, both with sweet and savory options. The room was sparkling clean.

Hotel location: great for travelers - next to the highway, but in the country. Excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. They fulfilled all wishes. I spent a nice evening here on my anniversary - full of attention and surprises, for which I sincerely thank you once again. All this... as well as the green hills and the colorful sky will always remind me of this anniversary. Nice experience.

The staff called us to find out when we would arrive as we were getting late, which showed they cared, The receptionist was really friendly and helpful and told us where we could get a meal. The room was nice and spacious.

The bathroom could do with a bit of cleaning, there was a lot of limescale around the shower. The furniture on the balcony could be better (no plastic).
