Very happy with our choice of hotel for a stay for a wedding at Sant Ffraed, three miles down the road. (Advice - if you need taxis to get to/from that venue, BOOK EARLY!) Staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. Cosy Snug bar, great selection of drinks and good wines. Plenty of outside seating for drinks/food weather permitting. Evening dinner in a lovely big dining area, great menu choices and all at very reasonable prices. The food was excellent and a real bonus at the end of a long day to just go downstairs. Breakfast in a separate dining/bar area was all you could want, cereals, pastries, yoghurt and fresh fruit and a really good cooked breakfast, option for vegetarian too. The bedding, towels and bathroom were really clean and fresh. Located in the centre of the tiny town of Raglan, just off the A40. Small Tesco, pharmacy, clothes shop and amazing butchers/deli, petrol station, another pub and outdoor launderette! Beautiful views over the church and beyond. Great area for cycling.

Personally would rather have fresh tea in a pot than from a self service machine, simply because the force of water makes the tea go funny and it looks very unappetizing. However I got around that by filling another mug with the boiling water and transferring it to a mug with the milk and tea bag in. I'm just fussy with my tea!! :-) Carpeting/flooring rather tired/dated But these are my only negatives, and of little consequence to our enjoyment of our stay.

Great breakfast and staff wonderful Dinner. Plenty for us to choose from. Lamb confit out of this world. So refreshing to see a menu with new potatoes and mint sauce Mushrooms in sauce fab but I may add a note after the scales Fish and chips not the best.. So nice to see that we are not being taken over by burgers or eating chains and fantastic not to be offered burgers of numerous versions Overall where else would you like to eat? Carry on the good work

It is such a wonderful place, so many nooks and crannirs which makes it not quirkey but special. However some of the nooks could do with a duster. Only a comment. Didn't botrher my stay Beer great price. Wine as usual, extortionat. Lidl £4.50 for 750ml. Beaufort £27.30 for 750ml

Breakfast is fantastic Rooms basic but comfortable and clean Atmosphere in restaurant in evening cozy, and food excellent Staff helpful and friendly Accommodating of families

Creaky floors meant I felt I was disturbing people when I got up in the night but what do you expect in a beautiful old building. When it gets busy the staff (who are friendly and hard working) can be pulled in several directions as it can often be the same person manning reception, the bar, and the breakfast service

The breakfast was exceptionally good, also the two evening meals were very well presented and the flavour matched!

Missed having tissues in the bathroom and biscuits in the room. This I understand could be a cost cutting exercise. There was plenty of parking for OAP’s but it was a shame about there not being a lift for the OAP’s but I do realise it is an old building. Nobody offered to take our cases up for us.

A lovey Inn with a rich history in a great location. I was given a very large room with a beautiful view of the church across the road. My bed was very large and comfortable and I was content enough to lay down after a bath and watch TV at the end of my day. In the morning, the breakfast was substantial, cooked to order (as well as continental) and I was able to substitute a couple things, baking the whole meal perfect! Breakfast was served by the ancient hearth fireplace and there was a Kate Bush playlist on the stereo, a perfect way to start the morning!

The bath water could have been a little bit hotter, but I like VERY hot baths, in general. The restaurant looked amazing but I got in a bit late and sadly wasn't hungry enough for dinner. I did however manage to try to sticky toffee pudding which was just cooked fresh, hot and very yummy!

A lovely traditional pub with B&B — my room was clean and comfy, the staff were friendly and the food was delicious! Excellent location too, just off the main road (A40 / M50) in a lovely little village with a general store, post office and laundrette within walking distance, and just a short distance from awesome Raglan Castle (a must-see!). Many thanks — I would highly recommend the Beaufort to others and would be very happy to stay again!

Only drawback was that the hot water in my room (both basin and shower) took a very long time to get hot. But it was fine once it got there (probably a long way from the boiler) and there were no other issues.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good . Bed linen was new and very clean and bed extremely comfortable. Room had everything I needed for a one night stay for a single traveller. Parking good. Quiet location in the centre of small village with amenities close by.

No hot water for a wash late at night and just hot enough for a morning shower. Creaky floor above my room so could hear occupant walking around between 3-4am :( Poor signal for WiFi .

It was conveniently located in the village of Raglan, and only around 10 mins from a wedding venue we were attending the day of check out. The Staff were welcoming, and were able to accommodate us for dinner on the day of check in. Dinner finishes at 8.30pm, and we arrived shortly after and the staff were able to ask the kitchen if we were able to be served to which they agreed. (They were still serving other diners). The breakfast was good and the quality of the bacon was noted. I had a hairdresser arriving on the Sunday morning, and the staff on service let us borrow a chair from inside to make life easier for her. The Staff had also let us organise a late check out (12.30) at the time of booking which was really helpful.

The room was compact, but that’s fine as we were staying one night. If you were staying longer, it wouldn’t be problematic if you are tidy. The decor inside the room does show wear and tear, but that’s to be expected. The only thing I will say is that some of the skirting boards/pipe plumbing in the room could do with a wipe down, and also the ledge of the bath panel could do with a clean as it’s stained where water has marked it. But all in all it’s a decent place to stay and we would stay again if in the area.

Excellent fried breakfast . Bacon was good quality as was the gluten free roll.( They are normally like cardboard!) Lovely creamy yoghurt. Reception said there would be continental breakfast but there were no cold meats or cheese?? Maybe the word continental should not be used to describe what was available. We had enough to eat so it wasn't a problem.

Duvet cover was too big for duvet and we both kept getting knotted up...... Very restless night because of this. Also, couldn't open bedroom window. Porridge in tub wasn't very brilliant. Maybe hot water from the machine wasn't hot enough??? Plenty of other cereal available so it wasn't a problem.

Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Great view of local church and surrounding countryside. Breakfast was really tasty and all the staff were friendly. Great value for money and location was perfect for a planned family get together.

I could pick a few minor faults but I won’t elaborate as the room was part of a 19th century pub so it’s all part of the character . The room we booked was what we expected.
