Lovely small hotel in a perfect location just one block away from the central square of historic Domodossola. A charming and characterful hotel in all respects. The rooms are cosy and comfortable, the welcome is warm and hospitality is friendly, and the breakfast is excellent. A short and easy walk from the railway station. We were there for the impressive Saturday market and enjoyed the excellent Casa de Rodis art gallery. Good to be in town to enjoy the evenings too.

On the *very* hot (30+) day we were there the aircon strugggled to keep up, but it’s an ancient building so what can you expect?

Everythings was exceptional. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Mazzola, which makes easy to explore the charming town and its surroundings. It’s close to the main train station, which was perfect when exploring the area. The rooms were impeccably, clean and well appointed, the decor was tasteful and cozy, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The beds were exceptional comfortable ensuring a restful night sleep. The service at the hotel was outstanding. Anna was friendly, attentive and always ready to help with any questions or requests. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant day. The breakfast service provided a delightful start to the day in a cozy area. The hotel provided fresh produce every day from the farmers market. The coffee was one of the best I’ve tried while traveling. I wanna express gratitude to Anna for everything. She’s done during my stay over there.

Beautifully restored historic building in centre of the old part of Domodossola. A warm welcome from Anna with recommendations for dinner in the town. Room was immaculate, clean, well equipped like a smart hotel room. Even had a mountain view from our room. Extremely well run. Delicious and generous continental breakfast in vaulted cellar room. Anna kindly messaged us after we left the B&B to say that we had left a bag behind meaning that we were able to go back to collect it.

This is a magical place - we only stayed for one night but I’m already thinking about when I can come back! Both Domodossola and Nicomat far exceeded our expectations..The breakfast was wonderful so much detail and beauty.. room also beautiful so much care has been put into everything- I don’t think of stars when I book hotels /b&bs but staying here felt like 5 star treatment

simply a lovely place (hotel). The room was perfect..so many lovely details visibly made with taste and love. The room was extremely cosy, very clean and well designed! Breakfast place like in the little grotto, cave. Again well designed plus a very nice breakfast again with a lot of details and everything tasty. Rooms is in the center of the old town, next to the lovely piazza, Parking was at a nearby place for free. Really just to recommend and we for sure come back.

I highly recommend NicoMat! Perfect location, clean and comfortable. The hotel is beautifully designed and a lot of thought and care has been taken to make the guest experience relaxing and comfortable. Breakfast was the best we’ve experienced in Italy! Note: We parked for free in the parking area near the old tennis courts… Parcheggio Rosmini…. 4 min walk from the hotel.

It is a little hotel in the center of Domodossola. We enjoy everything about our stay. The rooms and bathrooms clean and pleasant to stay. Very cosy and authentic Italian atmosphere. We arrived after 8 p.m and the administration was very fast to attend us even if it was out of working hours. Thanks!

Very good, the room was kind of fantastic, cozzy and clean, when you have free time you go go out for cafe or restaurant. I had to leave earlier on the next day early morning so the owner just helped me prepare a bag of breakfast with bread, fruits, cake, drink that's quite lovely :-)

Excellent check-in staff. High degree of cleanliness; Good breakfast; Comfy Bed & lovely bedding. Location was excellent and we enjoyed our stay very much, we would have stayed longer if available. However, we moved apartments very close-by to extend our stay for two nights, unfortunately we experienced a very different aspect to this part of Domodossola, which sadly, would prevent us from ever returning to the location in the future.

Bedroom a little cramped and lack of suitable space to hang clothes. Big chair in room was a waste. The space could be better utilised for wardrobe. Not sure if chair was a foldable bed? If that is the case then this room is definitely not suitable for 3 people. Screeching & screaming children running up and down the street after 10pm at night.

Good size room, very well appointed, very comfortable large bed and good bathroom facilities. There are lots of little extra touches to make the room feel special. Lovely welcome from the host with recommendations for restaurants and sights. Would certainly stay again. Very good breakfast included in the price, including gluten-free options. Central, but quiet!
