The location is excellent with access to the beautiful beach steps away from your room. Our kids 10/16 absolutely loved using the peddle boats, kayaks etc. Fabio and all the staff(family) are extremely friendly and helpful. Arranged restaurant reservations for us(great suggestions to complement our own choices) and taxis. Would definitely return to this property.

We didn’t dislike anything, but for those who have complaints, I would say if you have read the reviews, you know exactly what you are getting so the blame lies with you for not researching. Lots of steps? Yes obviously look at the pictures so shouldn’t be a surprise. Rocky beach? Yes so bring your water shoes. Walkable distance to downtown? 25 min so only you know if your fitness level fits. None of this bothered my family but was very easy for us to obtain this info beforehand

Blue Bay is a wonderful hotel to stay in while in Cefalu, and we would definitely choose it again. The location is great, the view from the balcony is absolutely amazing all day round, and since the beds are super large and comfortable, and the only thing you hear at night is the sound of the sea, we slept like babies there. And the breakfast was incredible, both because of the food itself and the astonishing location it is served in. The owner was always available to help with advice and recommendations and other practical questions. Cefalù is a 15 minute walk away, along a very nice path that has some nice views too, which is a great bonus.

Loved the beach bay this hotel/apartments are on. Stunning. Unfortunately we had bad weather so the sea was stirred up and the beach closed after our arrival. We were really sad about that. Breakfast is fabulous right on the water. The staff are really helpful and parking is plentiful. The views are just beautiful

We’ll it was nothing like we thought. I love a personal balcony so just be aware you share the l generous terraces with your neighbour. I terrace per 2 apartments. The apartments are basic inside and the sofa bed is really ugly. Might be time for a redecorate project? But it’s the little beach I’d go there again for and the wonderful staff.

Perfect spot to sit by the beach away from the busier cities. Was an easy walk into Cefalu, which was actually quite nice to do in the evening once it cooled off (we were there in July - so quite warm). Took about 30m to walk into Cefalu and the path followed the coast line - so beautiful views. Accomodation was clean, open plan, plenty of space. Everything you need for a little get away. We found the beds very comfortable. Little kitchen is enough for simple meals (has a stove top, small fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery, glasses, some pots and pans etc). Big balcony out the front of each chalet where you can eat dinner looking over the ocean while the sun is setting (very nice). Private beach for people staying at the resort with lots of water sport activities (canoeing, SUP, snorkeling etc). Good breakfast. Helpful and nice staff.

The rooms were so spacious, well equipped and very clean. The staff were helpful and always there when you needed help. A lovely walk to Cefalu and many restaurants and bars. The hotel beach, sun loungers & sports equipment all helped us have a fabulous stay and wish we had stayed longer.

There was nothing at all we did not like.

The view from this place is truly stunning, absolutely breathtaking! It features a private beach with crystal-clear water, where you can freely use kayaks and boats. The rooms are simple but very clean, and each one has a spacious terrace that offers incredible views. Having a car made the location ideal for us, as it was easy to drive into the city and find parking. We noticed it's about a 20-minute walk for those on foot. Breakfast was decent, offering a variety of options, though nothing extraordinary. For the price, we were very satisfied. The receptionist was extremely helpful, and the view alone makes this place worth it—it’s absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend it.

For a 3 star hotel it was amazing value for money

Beautiful, peaceful surroundings, with fantastic views and a lovely beach excellent for snorkelling (so many fish!) and for the children to swim and play. We loved that there were canoes, flaoting chairs and snorkelling equipment provided for us to use, and the beach was private with only guests from the hotel. Breakfast was good, and the staff were helpful. We were glad to have air-con in the bedrooms and a fridge for snacks/drinks. We were able to walk to the town in around 25 minutes to explore and get dinner. We also used the neighbouring hotel Kalura restaurant for dinner on one night, which was delicious, and they had nice sandwiches and outside seating at the bar there for lunchtime. There was a tiny bakery on the road a few doors up from the hotel which sold nice pastries and biscuits in the morning. The Beach and our balcony were in shade in the afternoon, so we went down to the beach early to make the most of the sun. We loved our stay at Blue Bay!

Some plates and cutlery in the apartment would have been useful. It would also have been great to have some savoury snacks/basic food other than crisps available from Blue Bay, so that we could have a picnic on the beach without having to get changed and head somewhere else for lunch. Drying wet swimming things and towels was difficult as our balcony area was in the shade during the afternoon. A drying rack/place to hang them would have been useful.

This was such a lovely little resort, we really enjoyed it. It is basic in some senses (the rooms are not luxurious), but they are well set out and practical. Our room had a massive patio area with amazing views out over the bay. It was really something. The beach was really cute and they have set it up nicely with boats and things for kids to play with and float around on, it's a very safe bay for young kids. Lots to see and do on the property or just lounge by the beach. We didn't miss having a pool as the beach was so lovely. Only issue for us was no onsite restaurant (although there area few close by) which made life a bit harder with young kids. Not really able to walk into town as it's along a busy road so we had to drive when we left the resort. Overall really good if you are looking for a fun not too expensive beach break.

The apartment was a good size for 4 guests. We had adults in the bedroom with a king size bed and kids on the sofa bed allowing for plenty of room. Decor was modern and stylish. The private beach is quiet and secluded, it is mixture of sand and stones so water shoes are useful if have them. The accommodation has free to borrow, sunbeds and parasols, snorkels, canoes, floating sun beds, pedalo, inflatables, which kept the kids entertained. The walk into Cefleau is about 15 min but most of this walk is scenic and well lit so we never needed to get a taxi. Breakfast was in an lovely little room overlooking the sea. The food was delicious with a variety or sweet and savoury options and staff we were very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast room was quite small which meant that we had to wait for 10min while a table became free, this meant that some of the food options were all gone before we sat down. If the resort is busy make sure you arrive for breakfast at 8am when it opens so you secure a table. There nearest supermarket is a long walk away unless you have a hire car.

Loved the location, parking, and beach. It’s quite a walk into town so I would recommend having a car. Really loved all the beach toys, including a peddle boat! Really made it so enjoyable. Also appreciated how someone drops off and picks up your luggage rather quickly.

The rooms need some renovating, the kitchen didn’t have basics like dish soap, there was no iron, you have to pay to rent a beach towel (even though it’s a beach hotel and that’s what you pay for), breakfast could be improved, and the wifi was terrible
