The location is great! Restaurants are very close with a variety of different food. The restaurant in the hotel is very nice as well. The hotel is very close to shopping and a trip into Half Moon Bay was very interesting. The room was very nice and comfortable. I would recommend staying here for a rewarding experience.

I think it’s sad that you have such poor maintenance when it comes to landscaping. Tall dry weeds, damaged fencing and a water feature that looks like it could be very nice. If it was cleaned up and functional.

We had three nights in this lovely hotel, originally only one was booked but we extended for two more because the hotel was so nice. There is a couple of nice cafe's, bars and restaurants within walking distance and there is a small shopping mall attached to the hotel. One of us had a massage and, without exaggerating, it was the best massage ever experienced! The hotel seems a great size too with not too many rooms so it was never that busy or noisy.

We didn't have any food or drink at the hotel so we can't comment about that. I think the prices of the room is slightly higher than I'd expect but seems on a level with the USA.

The staff were very professional. They were very accommodating when I called about a request. Even went out of their way to make me feel so special for my birthday. Jazmine and Jose were fantastic concierge. Room was very clean and beddings were so soft and comfortable. Love the balcony and the view. Easy basement parking. The surrounding was great and so close to my favorite restaurant Barbara’s Fish Trap which was why I stayed at this location. But we brought our electric scooter and skateboard and kids bike and wagon and we had a great time accessing the beach all around the harbor. The shops and restaurants connected to the hotel was great. We enjoyed some desserts and went to the Taffy shop.

The bathroom toilet was extremely loud when flushing. When you have kids you try to tip toe around when they’re asleep but the toilet is enough to make you nervous when flushing during bedtime. People’s voices in the hallways echoed very badly into the room but I played brown noise to keep the kids from waking up. I was tempted to open my door to tell people to keep it down when they were so loud for way too long and it was midnight. Another issue if I had to name one would be the price. We stayed at the second floor double Queen room and it may just be the season but with taxes it was $440. I think for that price maybe continental breakfast or a heated pool would be nice. But it was our choice to pay to be in a better location. But maybe off season will be cheaper

The regal, very classy and rich feel of the property. During our stay there were two weddings going on which gave me an idea to possibly have my wedding here. Walkable property to other places in the quaint town of Half Moon Bay. THANKS SO MUCH TO THIS HOTEL AS WELL for making my boyfriend’s birthday weekend a success. We loved the wine, chocolate covered strawberries and note from me strategically positioned upon entering the room.

The price of the bed pillow lol. I wish it were a little cheaper so I can buy one for my home.

LOVED the room layout, the elegant bathroom with tub and shower, the comfy, giant king bed, the fireplace and the mini kitchenette and little table/sitting area. The view of the harbor (boats mostly) was very nice also. Room decor of soft greens, blues, and neutral cream with seashell touches, buttons, and slightly "ocean distressed" vibe which carried out into hallways, interior landings and main lobby area gave it a very open, light, and spacious feel. Free, covered parking below hotel is another strong perk. The staff working the front desk and housekeeping very pleasant and gracious, also.

Would have been nice if a microwave was available in the suite/kitchenette area of room also, but not a dealbreaker since there was a microwave in a common office space off the lobby, accessible to guests.

The rooms were very large and we had an ocean view. The location was very quiet for a good nights sleep. It was our son-in-laws BD and the hotel gave him a birthday card and a bottle of good wine. Very sweet. Having a noise machine is a nice option, but we found we did not need it with the frogs sounds and the fog horn.

The hotel staff came to clean the room at 9 AM - too early. The decor was a bit dated. The temperature in the room was often tricky - if we closed the window the room got very warm. Having a "weighted" blanket should be an option - my husband dislikes them, I like 'em. He needed another blanket to be comfortable - we should have asked for a simple blanket and not the weighted.

We’ve stayed at the Oceano Hotel a couple of times. It has a great location & many eateries within walking distance. On line it gives a 4 ⭐️ rating for the Harbor Mall but there weren’t much stores there since Covid.

The bedding wasn’t crisp or fresh; the pillows were bumpy or overly soft. I requested better firmer pillows, which were a big difference! One of the TVs in the sitting area couldn’t get the caption to work even when it was set as “on”. I didn’t want to disturb the person sleeping. It was minor though.

We love this hotel, it's location, its amenities, etc. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here (we live somewhat locally and have stayed here as a quick weekend getaway.) Both times, we have been very impressed with the hotel staff, the room and the amenities (we have gone for spa treatments that were great and right at the hotel.) The rooms are clean, well equipped and have different views of the Half Moon Bay Harbor. There is lovely walking around the hotel and there are great restaurants right there as well. One of the best things is the underground FREE parking for all guests.

There is nothing we were unhappy about or less than thrill about either time we stayed there.

We loved the gas fireplace, the view of the harbor, the close proximity, so many places to eat, and drink, the convenient, free parking garage, the friendly, helpful staff, the charming Libby with cathedral ceilings and fireplace, and the deep bathtub.

The heater and the air conditioner function independently. If the thermostat is set to heater mode, you can only make the room warmer - you cannot make it cooler. If the thermostat is set to cooling mode, you can only make the room cooler. You can’t choose a temperature and have the heater and air conditioner maintain that temperature.

This property was lovely. It was a great location, right by the water. Our suite was spacious & clean, with a great bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and our balcony had a nice view of the ocean. Having the spa was a real treat, as well. My masseuse, Jira, was professional & friendly.

While the property was lovely, the decor is very dated & the furnishings seem a bit worn. For a "resort & spa" on the water, people do expect a certain caliber of accommodations. It reads more as a full-service hotel, rather than a resort. The balconies could use a pressure wash. The bar was not open when we were there, which would have been nice. Though, there are restaurants & bars nearby, so it wasn't a big issue. The "shopping village" that's connected is really a letdown...as it's mostly exercise studios & a bar. I wish there were some more retail options there.
