The location of the hotel is ideal specially it is just right beside the exit of autobhan. Big rooms and comfortable beds. Easy to find and just beside Lidl and Aldi. Lots of free parking space. The staff were very helpful, when we arrived there is only 1 receptionist and even though she was a trainee she did her best to help us. The breakfast buffet was good as well.

The entire hotel really needs renovation. Out of 3 elevators only 1 is operational (technical reasons). You can literally hear all the noise from the hallway in your room and air is getting inside the window, i woke up 6 in the morning because of the whistle of air coming from the window (quick fix i placed towels in the gap).

An oldie but goldie hotel built in American style, just near the border. Spacey, comfortable rooms and overall atmosphere of "shelter from the storm", since the industrial landscape of Rhein area is not that welcoming. Cozy bar and restaurant in the hotel. There is a small sauna but don't expect a spa center. Rooms and hallways are decorated with beautiful paintings (and signed) which I wish more hotels did - add artsy vibe to the whole thing. Breakfasts are fantastic, I urge you not to oversleep it (until 10:30). Perfect to relax after the long drive.

The facilities, room furniture are quite old and could be not everyone's cup of tea but i enjoyed the vibe. The fridge in the room was missing which is no-go for 4-star hotel (needs to be fixed).

Strategic position to stop for one night when driving before entering or after exiting Switzerland. Very good breakfast. Big rooms. Competitive price.

We have been there twice in 8 days. Only one elevator working, apparently it's weeks/months that situation is the same, looking at comments. We couldn't use the restaurant as once it was fully booked, and the second time it was closed for unknown reasons. The whole hotel looks very old, vintage rooms, definitely needs a refresh. If it wasn't for the nice breakfast, we would probably have looked for something else, but overall it's OK.

The breakfast was as always fantastic! The variety and quality is superb! The room is very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We both love this hotel as it is so close to the motorway and Swiss and French border.

They clean the room only every 2 day (otherwise additional cost) and this suits us very well. They've mist to clean it once on the second day. However, they swiftly brought along some new towels so we could take a shower when we returned to the hotel late. At one night the wind was blowing very string and as a result there was a loud whistling sound coming from the windows. Maybe it would be worthwhile to tightening those windows.

A great stop off hotel, minutes from the motorway with ample free parking.The room was huge, clean and quiet with a coffee machine, air conditioning and free mini bar. Self service coffee and water is always available at Reception too. There is a terrace outside to sit on, as well as deck chairs on the grass. Nice bar and restaurant. Breakfast was excellent- lots of choice and you can even squeeze your own fresh orange juice. All in all, excellent value for money and easily the best stop over hotel we’ve ever stayed in.

Nothing. The decor and furniture is quite old, but certainly didn’t affect our stay.

Good breakfeast buffet, not the boring 5* affluance, but enough healthy choice for westerners for a a good quality start of the day. Large spacious room, cosy bar ambiance, easy reach from highway and free parking. Still in Germany, so compared to Switzerland affordable gaz stations and supermarkets around. Somewhat dated hotel, but hope they will not renovate coming years to keep prices competitive. Good last minute price offer and all you need for a relaxed stopover after long drive.

No watercooler, coffe/thee facilities. No airco, but plenty of cooling at night thru wide open windows. Quite some noise from nearby highway, but windows seal off sound perfect il too much. Lack of easy accible AC and USB DC outlets. No smartphone projection facility available on TV for YouTube, etc and slow wifi. However, considering price and night stay not much to complain.

From the moment of parking to check-out, I can say nothing but the best. The hotel is truly top-notch! As the wonderful receptionist Sebastian would say, the hotel is rustic and really excellent, and I agree. For a very affordable price, you get a room with excellent heating, cleanliness at a high level, and a view of the city. Moreover, Basel is less than 15 minutes from this hotel, where hotels are far more expensive. So, I highly recommend this combination of staying in a hotel in Germany and dining in Basel, Switzerland. 😉

It had a big bed, staff was really nice and they were okay having us food in the room, take-out, we had breakfast as much as we wanted, it had a nice view from the room, 24 hours service, many options for breakfast, VERY GOOD WIFI

The window could be opened but it was hard to close, coffee machine at the entrance only was useable till 16:30 should make it longer, sadly no good bus connections, had to walk to the closest tram station which was 20 minutes walking, too dark lights in bathroom

Probably the best hotel for a stop-over while driving between Germany and to/via Switzerland: this better-old-times quality and style of equipment and amenities with spacious rooms, cozy light of standing lamps, real wood and metal furniture one does not find anymore in very modern hotels; very good breakfast, vast and easy to drive parking area, polite personnel. We were staying for one night on our way from the north to Italy. And that is what this hotel is mainly used for it looks like. The room was very spacious and it had all the things you need for a one night stay. Beds were huge and very comfortable. The breakfast was very extensive and staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant at night was not open but you are allowed to order food and have it delivered at the hotel. Nice big field of grass right next to the hotel with lawn chairs. Bathroom was modern. Room itself is maybe a little bit outdated, but for the amount per night I am not complaining about that. I found it a nice touch that you still need to use the "classic" key to enter the room and not a card.

We wanted to go to the city of Basel for dinner. Keep in mind there is no Uber/Bolt, but just "normal" taxi's and the fares are quite high. The hotel can call one for you. Ended up going by our own car to Basel which is only a 10 minute drive. This would be around €35,- for one way if you go by taxi. So this is not something the hotel has any influence on, just something to keep in mind. One thing we found a little bit outdated is the restaurant. The theme is "Cowboys and Indians". It has a lot of little statutes and paintings that portrait cultural appropriation and stereotyping. Even on picture/painting sexualising Native Americans.
