The room service was not regular many times we had to ask for towels

You have to realize that most of the hotels in the center of town are in buildings that were built in the 1600-1700s. They are unique and fun to stay in. The rooms will be small and the building quirky. It was very clean and they were in the process of replacing all the carpets. All in all it was a good place to stay. Breakfast is very good and they have a self serve expresso machine with no limit. The breakfast staff were nice and helpful. You can't beat the location, tram stop maybe 200' away and goes to the airport. I'd stay there again.

I thought breakfast was included. This should be taken into consideration when booking. Breakfast is worth the money. The breakfast variety was sufficient, clean and delicious. The staff was very kind. The room we stayed in was big enough and comfortable for 3 people. We stayed very comfortably with my daughters. The hotel is in the city and you can easily visit the whole city on foot. Those who do not want to walk can take the tram from the stop in front of the hotel.

The location of this hotel was ideal- on a quiet street but within walking distance to Dam Square, the Van Gogh Museum/Anne Frank House, a metro station and a flower market etc. We also benefited from having a supermarket close by where they make the best cappuccinos and apple turnovers for 1 euro each! The bedroom was spacious and bathroom totally modern. Lastly, we visited the Keukenhof Gardens via public transit and their tulip festival is not to be missed.

I had booked this hotel with a free breakfast included (as I always do when I travel) but when I got to the hotel they told me that breakfast was not included in the hotel rate and I was charged an additional 16 euro for breakfast which was disappointing.

Staff were all excellent, friendly, efficient and helpful (as best they could)

2 problems Minor and Major Minor - for a family room almost no storage facilities, We used spare beds Major - serious problem getting into bathroom, up a step, DANGEROUS in middle of night in dark. Needs highlighting somehow for those of us who get up numerous times in night (4/5 for me ) and I tripped going into bathroom, not hurt but might have on a tiled floor. Pity for a good hotel.

Clean and spacious room and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel has a very central location, just few minutes walking to dam square & the staff are very helpful

The sound insulation isn’t very good, you could hear footsteps of people walking, going up/down the stairs and people talking. During the weekend it was impossible to sleep

The location is the best, the breakfast is the best. It was also very comfortable for the baby during our stay. Stuff was friendly and helpful. Another trip to Ams, I’d definetly prefer Nova again. Thank you!

It can be cleaner especially when changing the towels daily. Sometimes the conditioner wasn’t working properly but we were ok to good weather conditions.

Excellent location. We were able to walk to central station, museums and to all locations where our tours started. Buffet style hot breakfast is available at the hotel which is very convenient and we bought it every morning. One of very few properties in city center which can accommodate 4 people in the room comfortably in the family room. Our kids had their own beds to sleep on.

Pillows were not very comfortable

Absolutely fantastic location! Friendly staff, big comfy room for our family with a nice big shower. Tram stopped just out front. Tons of food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner all within a short walking distance.

Breakfast was not included. For the price I would have expected this. That's about all I can say on the negative side. Don't be afraid of stairs, you're in Amsterdam!

The location is perfect, walking distance from center and just about 70m from tram station. Walking distance from main places to visit, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was very good, several options, free coffee during the day and night.

We booked a double room, which was good, except that there were not A/C, in the description when I booked it, it didn´t mention this, so we had to open windows at night but there was a lot of noise outside from the streets, so this is the only down side of our stay. I feel accommodation cost is high here in Amsterdam, more than I expected to be.
