The pools and beach were lovely, loads of sunbeds and hammocks for relaxing in the sunshine. The grounds were lovely and filled with tropical plants. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The restaurant lunch and dinner menu items weren't very good. For the price you pay for some of the dishes, I was expecting high-end cusine, but most of it was just a bit bland (my short rib was dry and chewy). This goes for the same at the sister hotel's restaurants. The restaurants just feel like an afterthought to the hotel, as if they are just there to tick the box of having a restaurant at the hotel, rather than it being an attraction in and of its own right. To recap, the food wasn't terrible, it just didn't live up to what it was being presented as. The breakfast dishes were better and the staff were always lovely.

Absolutely loved our stay! small and cozy hotel with friendly staff who make the attention feel very personalized. Super comfortable beds, clean and spacious rooms and good food! Some things to consider before booking your stay (not cons by any means, just helpful advice) - its far from city center, you 100% need a car - beach is rocky but they have a pool on the beach so that wasnt a problem for us - if booking in “winter” time, the room with a pool on the balcony is not worth it as its always cold and does not get direct sunlight

The “pool” in the balcony is not a jacuzzi, does not have a tap or drain so its stagnant water. You could see the sunscreen floating from previous guests so we sadly never used it + the temperature situation explained above

Right on the ocean, and several complementary activities available like a guided kayak and snorkel or yoga. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Good variety of breakfast options which was served approx 7-11am. The hotel helped us arrange a taxi from the airport to the accommodation which was on time. Regular and beach towels provided in your room as well as shampoo and conditioner. Beach chairs were comfortable and WiFi worked well.

Pillows were very big/puffy - could be a pro if you like that. Music from the bar could be heard from my room (4ish of the ocean front kings were close to the bar) and it turns off at 11pm- asked to move rooms and even though my group had 3 rooms paying almost $5k usd overall they said if I wanted to move I’d have to pay for the upgrade to a quieter room since only fancier rooms were available. Was a bit disappointing customer service given it was available and we already paid so much. asked the staff to turn music off early when nobody was in the bar and they accommodated which made the noise bit better the other nights. Ground floor rooms priced same as higher room of same type, I would have liked to leave door open to hear the waves but didn’t feel safe doing that on ground floor.

Our recent stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. Everything went smoothly, and it made our visit memorable. The hotel's location, close to the beach, provided stunning views right from our room. The room was perfect for a couple— spacious, impeccably clean, and comfortable. While the breakfast was tasty, the variety was somewhat limited, and the policy of allowing only one serving per guest, despite breakfast being included in the room rate, was a minor drawback. However, the highlight of our dining experience was undoubtedly the exceptional service from the hotel’s chef, Carlos. Carlos went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary preferences by arranging halal meat for us, which greatly enhanced our dining experience. His willingness to cater to our needs exceeded our expectations, and we can’t express enough appreciation for his thoughtfulness. He truly is a rockstar in his role. Additionally, the waitstaff during both breakfast and dinner was exceptional. They were consistently friendly, attentive, and ensured that we were comfortable and well taken care of. Their warm smiles and positive attitude truly made us feel welcome and added a special touch to our stay. I highly recommend this hotel to my family, friends, and anyone looking for a wonderful experience, especially with such outstanding service from the staff. They won our hearts, and we will certainly return in the future.

We loved the staff and the amazing location of our room, which was directly on the beach and near our plunge pool, and 2 other pools on the property! The staff accommodated our needs and cleaned our rooms daily as requested. They front office staff helped guide us with trips and any information we needed. The waitstaff was attentive and always so nice! The property was clean and if you requested anything they were there to help! The beach was quiet and relaxing! And we went out on a snorkeling tour with the hotel, which was a treat!

I wish we could have some type of dresser to store our clothing. The large bedroom area would accommodate this! We had a long stay and needed the space for our clothing. Also, I didn't prefer the smell of the water in the shower...I wasn't sure if its the drain or septic system smell?

We loved everything about this boutique hotel. It's beautiful, quaint, safely tucked away yet close to Tulum. If you're looking for a quiet, calm atmosphere this is it. At times we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The nearby hotels each had wonderful restaurants for variety but ours was great too and included free breakfast. There's a small cenote on the road run by locals which brought a little traffic in but nothing crazy. There's a little bodega across from the cenote which we found super helpful to grab snacks, extra waters, etc. I read a ton of reviews before deciding and people mentioned the beds being comfortable and they ARE!! The last place we stayed had rock hard beds which just ruins your whole trip imo. Loved Mereva and would go back in a heart beat. It's not all inclusive so you'll spend more on food but we knew that and prefer this experience to an all inclusive. It's quiet, and beautiful and clean. It's located in a bay that is shallow enough to stand up in but rocky, so bring swim shoes. Cool docks that go out into the water with hammocks to relax in and kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling gear to use, although we saw no aquatic life besides a few small fish. We did book massages at the sister hotel Nereva (sp?) and it was great too.

The only thing I can come up with is that we stayed on the second floor (ocean view) and our balcony overlooking the ocean had a glass partition that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. It was hard to see through while sitting to actually enjoy the view. It was the ONLY thing they didn't clean. There was maintenance working on anything that needed it, so I do feel like it's kept up well. The grounds are beautiful with two smaller pools, one in the garden and one in the sun. It's perfect.

All the Staff were incredible. I have a Gluten allergy and the restaurant staff took great care with all my meals. Francisco Snr recommended different meals for me each day and a Gluten Free bakery (Italdo) in Tulum Town where the food was delicious! There was a very relxed and chilled feeling to the hotel, given that it is away from the main hotel zone in Tulum and the small amount of rooms meant that it didn't ever feel overly busy. For us it was definitely a bonus to be away from the hotel zone.

The taxis into town can be a bit expensive, so more information on how to get into town would have been really appreciated.

We absolutely loved our holiday to Tulum! The hotel was beautiful, with stylish decor throughout. The beach is gorgeous, with plenty of sun beds and drinks/food delivered to you. Our favourite pool was the jungle pool, this really was a slice of heaven. Breakfast at the hotel was amazing!! Lots of options and they cater for gluten-free too, as I'm coeliac I was very grateful for this. We had a sea view plunge pool room and we're really impressed by how big it was. The views were incredible!

The only issue we really had was that we had a number of power cuts, meaning we were without Aircon for a few nights in a row. It was very hard to sleep and I felt, for the money we paid for our stay, the staff weren't responsive enough. The location is quiet and tranquil. However, if you want to regularly go into Tulum for dinner (which I recommend), taxis are expensive (£40 each way).

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Mereva Hotel, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived until the time we checked out, everything exceeded our expectations. Friendly and attentive staff. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Their warmth and willingness to assist added a personal touch that made a significant difference. The room was clean and spacious with an amazing view, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. We had the opportunity to dine at the hotel's restaurant, and the cuisine, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. The quality of the food was exceptional. I look forward to returning on my next visit to Tulum.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. View from the room was perfection. Loved all the hammocks and comfy places to lounge. Beds in room, even the trundle, were quite comfortable.

Drinks and food were quite pricey, but this was everywhere in Tulum. Was expecting better prices but everything was as high or higher than US prices. I guess don’t come to Tulum to save money. Not the hotels fault since they are just keeping up with their market. Otherwise, the hotel was lovely and I would return to Mereva or either of their sister hotels.
