The room was lovely and clean with a a very good large bed. The bathroom was spacious and the shower and water pressure very good. We had a view of the sea (just about) which was nice. Parking was ample and location perfect for Aberporth. Key system worked well. The Ship in down the road is great for a pub and food.
We knew the Hotel was unmanned which was fine. The breakfast tray was ok but not for us but we knew that on booking. We went down to the cafe on the Sunday morning and they were supposed to open at 10am. We waited until 10.15 but no sign so we drove elswhere for breakfast. (this is not the Hotel's fault)

The hotel is in a a great location really close to the beach. The room we stayed in was a nice big room, number 6, with a view of the sea when looking through the side of the bay window. Really liked the layout of the room and it was very clean. We liked the tea and coffee facilities and a different breakfast tray everyday was nice. Communication online was excellent. Free on site parking was great too. Easy to access the hotel and room with the codes.
The property is unmanned so felt a bit soulless sometimes- it was a bit sad not seeing anybody at the reception desk to greet us or help us with anything. I stayed with my mum- We stayed in a room with a double bed and a single bed. I tried to sleep in the single bed for one night and it was terrible- the mattress was too soft and I could feel the springs- it was very uncomfortable. I then slept in the double bed and it was more comfortable. It would be nice if there was a toilet roll holder in the bathroom instead of the toilet roll being on the floor.

Our recent stay at the HighCliffe was nothing short of delightful. We are four, booked two rooms for one night and were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the accommodations. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered stunning sea views. The welcoming breakfast was a much-needed treat after our long journey, and the team's friendly and attentive service was top-notch. While we did encounter a few minor hiccups with the WiFi, the staff quickly resolved the issue and provided alternative options. The location is fantastic, with easy access to the beautiful beach and nearby restaurants. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this anyone looking for a memorable seaside getaway.

When my wife saw the dressing table with its 3 mirrors, she enthused that at last someone had thought of women when furnishing a hotel room. The view from our room took in the bay and a settee was provided in the window to sit and enjoy it. The whole setup was unusual with no visible staff but it worked perfectly. Coded access. More than sufficient breakfast tray. My comments refer to Room 4, Golden Sands. We plan to revisit.
Small point but it would have been helpful to have somewhere to place toiletries in the bathroom such as a shelf or cabinet.

We stayed in room no.2 for a one night stay. Really lovely room with an amazing modern bathroom and a great heated towel rail. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Great quality tea and coffee and a lovely continental breakfast. Nice attention to detail by the owners and a fantastic fan to cool the room too. Short walk to all available amenities in Aberporth. Wouldn’t hesitate in rebooking this property.
Absolutely nothing.

Very easy to find and there was plenty of free parking. Great location close to the beach, pub and chip shop(all highly recommended!) The room was spacious, warm and really clean with a huge window overlooking the sea. The bed was very comfortable. We'd booked room only so the breakfast tray was a lovely unexpected extra.
The tone of the texts and emails sent before arrival were full of warnings about not arriving early, extra charges and guests being liable for any criminal damage during their stay. There were more warning notes in the room. It felt very unwelcoming which was in stark contrast to the warm, cosy room, the breakfast tray and other thoughtful touches. I even Googled Aberporth to see if it's a hotbed of crime (it isn't!). I guess they've had a bad experience with guests in the past, but most of us know that we can drink the tea but not steal the mugs :-)

Great location close to beach, communication with staff( their advises ) free parking. Beautiful large rooms, very clean, nice breakfast tray. I would come back and I highly recommend this place.
There is nothing I didn't like. What would be a super bonus is a small fridge in the room so we can cool drinks and snacks before going to the beach as I have not seen shop nearby. But I was aware it's no fridge but I would be really happy if there was one.

Tray of continental breakfast was delivered every day which was excellent, there are no facilities e.g. bar or restaurant but there is a dining room if you want to bring food in. The room was great top of the house and had a great view of the sea. Would definitely stay again.
I can't say I disliked anything everything was as stated on the web page, the weather was a bit mixed but you can't blame the accommodation for that!

Breakfast tray delivered to room with a good assortment was a bonus. Great location, left car in car park for the whole stay. Great walks in the area. Fan provided, boot tray for Sandy shoes. Our room was particularly nice with a sofa & extra bed. Room & bathroom was nicely decorated
Keysafe at door entry was a little fiddly....meant I had to get my reading glasses out! Only one set of toiletries provided between two. Lots of rules/warnings of extra charges of broken were a little irritating All are minor points
