Lovely welcome from Sian the host who was super friendly, the room was perfect for what we needed. We were asked ahead or our stay whether we wanted the room set as double or twin and it was as requested on arrival. The guest house is on a main road but was quiet at night. Its within walking distance of pubs/restaurants in the town centre (recommend The Old Auctioneer for dinner). Breakfast was great, nice size portion, good quality ingredients and lots of choice of full english or cereals/fruit etc. The location has quick and easy access to the M40 so great for a stop over during a journey. The TV was modern with Netflix.

The mattress was a bit soft but I still slept ok.

Breakfast was amazing, full English cooked to perfection. Room lovely, clean and comfortable. Hosts Sian and Darren were lovely people, friendly and could not do enough for us. Location was 10 mins walk into Banbury and a short drive from Stratford upon Avon which was a great shopping centre. As is on a main road can hear a little traffic noise but that dies down after midnight.

The room and beds were comfortable and very clean. The host was very attentive and friendly. Gave a lovely welcome and cooked a fab breakfast! I always find that sausages are hit and miss on a breakfast and can't stand when they are too Herby/spicy. These sausages were perfect and the meal was cooked perfectly. Thank you for a very relaxing and pleasant stay. Would recommend and will definitely return if visiting this area again.

The room was compact but met all my needs, with an en suite attached. The breakfast was fine - I had the English breakfast but there were other options. The proprietress was very helpful and carried my case up and down the steep stairs. She also helped me to identify a place to eat lunch.

There was only one thing which did not work for me. The bedclothes consisted of a quilt and a blanket and even though I tucked them in firmly between bed and wall they came off in the night twice and ended up on the floor. Maybe other people would not have had this difficulty but it stopped me from having a decent night's sleep.

The host, Sian was exceptional. We requested an early arrival so that we could attend a family funeral and she made sure that our room was ready in time. The room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast choice was excellent and the cooked breakfast put us on for the rest of the day! On departure Sian gave us advice about where to buy flowers that we needed to buy which was a nice touch.

Nothing really. Everything was explained about coming and going and the stay was excellent.

This property is excellent! We stayed for 4 nights. The hosts are very kind and accommodating and went over and above to help us out with accessing one of our side trips. The breakfasts are fantastic, delicious! The beds are very comfortable and the facilities are very clean. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Avonlea Guest House.

Host was very pleasant and helpful. Had a small room but it had everything I needed including fresh milk (and a fridge to use if you wanted to in the breakfast room), good wifi, nice size TV, large shower and comfy bed. Had a delicious cooked breakfast. Room very clean. 15 minutes away from the British motor Museum.

Water didn’t stay in the sink. Didn’t really affect my stay but does waste water if it’s metered.

Second time staying here, comfortable and clean, facilities are good, everything we needed, lovely breakfast included, and friendly staff, who remembered us from our last visit last year. Not far from the motorway and close to the town centre, so very handy.

The only negative is some noise from the main road, but certainly doesn't put us off staying again.

The owners were very friendly and helpful and our welcome on arrival was great. We were looked after well throughout our stay, even being given Flapjacks in our room during a second day of our stay. The room was lovely and comfy, clean and very well presented. Breakfast was a highlight… the cooked options were very well cooked and there were lots of other options available as well. Parking was accessible. The property was in walking distance to town.

Very friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable. The bedding was very nice quality cotton. For the price it was a very good quality breakfast with different choices. Great for a over night stay or short break. Very good shower pressure. Very short walk to the town centre. Off road parking. Lost of places to eat and drink near by.

Would of liked a biscuit in our room, however to be fair I am sure if we'd have asked that would not have been a problem.
