Breakfast was good, the size of the room was excellent, the location of the hotel close to the Metro and VLT, one of the employee named Marcio went the extra miles to help us out in our needs he made the service of the hotel better

The internet is available only in the lobby, my room was on the 15th floor and internet is vital to make reservation, emails contacts and in its day and age there is no reason it should not be available in every room. at first it was very slow could not even open my emails, I complained to the staff and was told there is nothing they can do then one day they offered a fast speed link that solved most of the situation

I liked the place. Reminder of the better days of Rio. The room was spacious and clean. Staff was polite. Checking in early and leaving luggage is extra but the prices are ok. The down side was the bed comfort and the internet that was freaquently breaking up. I def recommend staying in these hotels in the center for those who want to get a glimpse what Rio was like in its better, more sophisticated days before the city started suffocating in crime swage water and corruption.

Price-quality ratio, very nice powerful water stream in the shower, quiet room. Had all the essentials for the breakfast.

very humid room with windows facing the inner-yard. So there was no sunlight in the morning, and I needed to use the AC even though it was not super hot, just to remove the smell of humidity. The area is not bad- you have Starbucks and a cinema there, Theatre is not far away. However if you want to explore the city center surrounding this area you should be very attentive.

We stayed for 3 nights over new years in Rio, so it was very busy. The staff handled the volume well, and breakfast was ok. It is very close to a metro, which made the commute to the beach very straightforward. WiFi was decent, didn’t have issues.

We had an interior room, so we heard noises from the plumbing and whatever was trapped in the interior window corridor. Nothing against the hotel though.

Close to many sites, the metro, and plenty of restaurants; the wifi worked in my 5th floor even though they tell you at the front desk that it doesn't work in the rooms; large shower with very high water pressure; air conditioning worked well in my room; breakfast was a good selection of foods

The floor in my room seemed a little grungy; two very slow elevators for lots of people (it was faster to take the stairs sometimes)

A good value hotel. My previous booking on booking.com cancelled on me last minute as my plane was taking off for Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro and by the grace of god I found a room here. They were extremely accommodating and made it easy for me to enter and leave the premises. We had 3 registered guests and although only 1 key was provided they made it easy so we could leave the key at the front desk and come and go as we pleased. The area is a little shady but extremely convenient to both the metro station and nightlife. The staff was helpful and cared about our well-being (unlike my original booking for Carnaval). It's a budget hotel so it's not perfect but the bathroom was big, the water hot, and the beds comfortable. It even had a balcony. Not at all bad for the price and last minute booking.

Considering the price and last minute booking, any shortcomings were minor.

the location is great with a lot walking distance places to go like mall, subway, banks, embassy or even the airport that would take 15 minutes walk. the location is pretty busy but it’s safe and enjoyable. The breakfast was simple but decent and the front desk team was really helpful. The hotel is old with old furniture and towels but if you are looking for an affordable place to stay I recommend it.

if you need to use internet for work, to communicate with your family in other country or anything important so, you should look for other place. the internet never works and they don’t look really worried about addressing the situation or fixing it and honestly that was my only complaint. no internet , no signal 😞

Super perfect location, 1 block away from subway station and walking distance to many downtown sites, including Lapa neighborhood. Amazing value for the location! Would definitely stay again

Only 1 of 2 elevators working

For the price you can't beat this hotel. Granted it is not a five star hotel, but the location, comfortable bed, great shower, good AC, and the breakfast it is well worth staying here.

There was a leaky faucet and the lighting was a little dark, but it was fine.

Breakfast and customer service was tops!!!

During this trip, only one elevator was working. It took forever to make it downstairs for checking out. The hotel is past its prime but it’s still a great bargain.
