It had a free shuttle from boat landing to Inn. Also, the shuttle service worked well from Avalon to the resort. They charge a $50.00 per night resort holding fee. I stayed 3 nights and 2 $50.00 holding fees got refunded. One did not, so I’ll have to call to make sure that happens.

Nice California Ranch feel. The food in the restaurant was nice Californian, Mexican Ranch food. I was healthy and tasty. It didn’t have just Mexican foods. I had excellent sandwiches and salads and dinner selections. It also had a small bar, which was also decent and nice. I liked having a nice formal breakfast everyday. I was all quite nice actually.

I loved the trees all around the property. I loved the balcony. I loved that the hotel had a shuttle.

I know the sheets were washed, but some had pee stains. Which means a better detergent is needed. Also if the hotel could have a golf cart to rent would be great. We needed short store runs and late night outings which the shuttle was not available.

This was a surprise Birthday trip for my husband. We spent only one night, but we were so very pleased with our stay at Catalina Canyon Inn. We were greeted at the front desk with a smile and a hand-written birthday card for my husband! Our room(504) was clean and had a great view! We could see the Ocean and Avalon Harbor/town through the tropical palms and cheery patio lights. We ate a delicious steak dinner at the restaurant that was so generous in portions that we split the meal and were still stuffed! I tasted my first ever Buffalo Milk drink thanks to the bartender who whipped it up for me with a smile. We were really grateful for the free shuttle service into town. It allowed us to go snorkeling the afternoon of our departure and still make it back to the Inn in time for a bite to eat before catching the Catalina Express back to Dana Point at 5PM. The front desk people were not only friendly but helpful with ideas of what to see in Catalina. Her tip about the new History and Art Museum was great. We really enjoyed learning the dynamic history of the Island so beautifully portrayed at the museum. It was an added bonus and relief that the Inn offered to let us leave our bags in their baggage room while we explored Avalon. That meant we could access our luggage if we needed to between check out time of 11AM and when the boat left at 5PM. If we had been here longer, we would have checked out the heated pool.

The staff, from the reception team to the drivers and house keeping team were all amazing and incredibly kind and willing to help. The room was spacious and had a great view. I liked that there was a car frequently picking up and dropping guests in town or at the ferry terminal so mayde it easy to go up and down hill easily.

Sadly the restaurant was closed for renovations so couldn't get Breakfast at the hotel and the wifi coverage wasn't the best and would disconnect depending on what part of the hotel you were in.

they have a shuttle that runs every 20 minutes from the main street to the inn, as well as from the catalina ferry to the inn. We didn't have to walk unless we were coming back late at night, and even then, its only 0.7 miles from the main street! The location was never an issue! There is a restauraunt but breakfast is not continental. There is a pool with pool towels provided! All this place needs is a hot tub then it would be 10/10!

Room could be cleaner. floor was not vaccummed and we weren't given enough towels!

The shuttle service to town was excellent with Jose as our driver was always friendly and on time. The rooms were quiet, and the beds were very comfortable. The flatscreen TV was also very good. The bathroom was very roomy and the shower was huge with excellent water pressure.

We arrived after dark and the grounds could use a lot more landscape lighting around the paths as the walkways in the garden area was very dark and the steps were hard to see. Also, the restaurant was very very difficult to find in the dark with the signage that proved very confusing. Needless to say, we did not have dinner or any meals at the restaurant while we spend our 3 days at this hotel. The small snack area could use a better assortment of snacks and beverages.

It was very good our trip is a modern and beautiful hotel, the rooms are not very large but they are beautiful, also the fact that the option to pay at the hotel is not available and you will be charged 3 days before to the card that you put that it is good to know before since the application does not explain it, and when you arrive at the stay you leave 300 dollars of deposit in case they do not have extra money consider it! Otherwise, everything is super! We liked it a lot!!

Friendly helpful staff, restaurant onsite - great food, reasonably priced, beautiful heated pool, towels provided for pool and beach, ping pong, elevators, shuttle service into town, beautiful landscaping, comfy beds and pillows

It would have been better if the air conditioning was more quiet. It didn't bother me, but it bothered my friend, so we had to turn it off at night, and then we got quite warm.

This property is away from the daytrip tourist crowds located at a higher elevation. There is a free shuttle to and from town and the ferry dock. The drivers are all really great. No need to reserve just ask front desk where the pickup spots are. The vans are clearly marked with the property name. The room was a good size two queen size beds. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room has a Small outdoor space overlooking the pool. The property is in a garden like setting. I did use the gym which was basic but good. The pool is refreshing and great for a swim. There is a cafe onsite but i didnt use it.

You can clearly hear the neighoring rooms, loud voices, tv and video games at bedtime. This is a problem at many hotels but seemed excessive during the time i was a guest. Theres no fresh brewed coffee station. If you want that you have to go to the bakery downtown which means you have to take the shuttle. There is a K cup machine in the room but its not the same. The property has some light construction going on which doesnt interfere with guests but is noticeable.

Acceptance of my dog. Got in early and our room was ready. Very friendly staff. Drinks at the bar were great. Well worth the money. Pool Ok.

No notice that a shuttle was available and definitely needed. All uphill. However, the shuttle coming and going from Avalon every few minutes made up for it.
