A little gem in the heart of Almagro. Situated within walking distance of everything the town has to offer. On arrival we were greeted warmly by Elena and given the choice of two rooms. Each equally unusual and superbly decorated and fitted with a small kitchenette. The building itself has been designed and decorated in true Castille la Mancha style with reminders everywhere of Cervantes' hero. Our bed was enormous and extremely comfortable, although pillow a little hard for my taste. Everywhere was not just spotless but sanitised throughout. In the evening the entrance hall was warm and welcoming with soft lighting and ambient perfume. The day time temperature was 42 each day but the air conditioning was just perfect and easy to control. There was just one downside and absolutely not the owner's fault but the room opened up onto a shared courtyard and other guests decided it was a good place to dry their washing so we had a great view of their underwear draped over chairs and the ironing board. Such a shame. The small kitchenette is perfect for storing cold drinks, making a coffee or preparing snacks and is well equipped. Quirkily it sits inside what looks like a small armoire, subtly hidden from the room. Plenty of power sockets and a state of the art hairdryer are also included. If you want somewhere original and comfortable, this is THE place to stay. As a final note there is plenty of street parking around the building.

The hotel was very conveniently situated with free parking nearby. The owner met us there and checked us in and explained where the local attractions were. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. There was a coffee machine and a fridge. Almagro is a lively interesting town. We were fortunate enough to buy tickets at the theatre there for the Saturday night performance.

No dislikes

A quirky place to stay very near to the centre of this beautiful town. The rooms were very well equipped with everything you would need if you wanted to cater for your own meals . Great value for money . Very clean and comfortable.

The entrance is via the shop next door which is unusual rather than a problem. We arrived when the shop was closed but a phone call brought staff there very quickly.

The bed was luxurious. The shower was great. Great coffee. We saw 3 of the available rooms and all were awesome. Very big, very nicely decorated. Finishings were all good. Heating was good as well.

Finding the reception wasn't easy, if not for a nice passer-by pointing us to the correct door. But once we were in, we were very well taken care of. The manager gave us food recommendations and directions on how to walk to the sights.

Hotel with real character. The hosts were lovely. Very welcoming and offered us a choice of two rooms. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Our room had a kitchenette with fridge, tea and coffee. Easy parking outside. Great location. We enjoyed it more than staying in the Parador previously

There was nothing that we didnt like.

Lovely room, with a comfortable bed (awesome size). We had everything we needed: small fridge, plates, glasses and cutlery. It's just a short walk away from the Town hall and main square. The Owners went well above and beyond, when they picked us up from the train station. Highly recommended.

EVERYTHING! This was by far our favourite hotel stay. The staff were so friendly and warm. The hotel is old, unique and authentic but incredibly comfortable and stylish. Great bed, big shower, tea and coffee provided. If we are in this area again we would absolutely stay here again. Minutes walk from the Plaza and great bars etc... We loved it!

Nothing!

The hosts were very helpful and very nice people. They picked me up from the station late at night even though I didn't ask them to and it was obviously in no way obligatory for them to do so. They did this because they thought I might get lost - the hotel is actually easy to find and very central - and to simply be helpful. A young lady working there called Elena couldn't have been more helpful all round. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying there.

Everything. It was a cute room with many facilities. The host gave free toys to the kids and gave us lot of information about the town.

In the night wifi stopped working but when we reached out in the morning they reset it and it was working again

The accommodation was located just a short walk from the Plaza Mayor. We were delighted to he offered an upgrade to a suite on arrival. This was spacious and comfortable with a little kitchenette. The aircon was great. The staff were very helpful.
