Pretty hotel! We just wanted a hotel break where we stayed by the pool all weekend. The five restaurants in the hotel meant that we could do that without getting bored. The dimsum buffet is especially fantastic. The massage at the spa was great. The room was a decent size, comfy beds, view of the city. The pool had some bouncy castle toys which was fun. The in house shampoo and conditioner were such good quality I ended up ordering myself some.

The breakfast was a little dull, lots of rice and noodles and not much else but I got the sense the hotel caters more to Asian clientele vs the Pullman where there were more westerners staying. The area around the hotel is kind of boring, nothing walkable- you would need to get taxis to go into the town center. It's silly but if you're not steady on your feet be careful in the bathroom as once wet, the floor tiles are extremely slippery - we had to put pool towels down on the floor to stop us skidding.

Facilities

I requested in advance an extra bed in the room, the request was accepted in advance but It was not ready upon Arrival so we had to wait after checkin untill they fixed the room adding an extra bed...this should be ready in advance guys, dont let customers wait to fix request we already asked and were accepted by you. Another point is the TV in the room IS not smart TV and It is old and too small!! Another point is we had lunch by the swimming pool and they took too long time to serve my beer. I dont know why the pool bar dont serve beer directly the waiters had to go somewhere else faraway and come back with the drinks...and beer was not cold finally.

Clean & spacious room (quiet except the pool party night which the noise was up to 11 pm--but they announced ahead), the smiling & efficient staff, big lobby with plenty of comfortable seats, and the good gym (not big but very adequate). The breakfast looked adequate although I didn't take it because of my IF. And, the swimming pool looked very fine too--big, clean and well-equipped shower/locker rooms underground.

Two main cons: the location (although somewhat central and very quiet but very far from local restaurants and convenience stores--you need a car or a motorbike) and the price of everything (a half-an-hour facial massage was (after discount) B850, pastry/cake in the small bakery in front). Also, the bathroom (with a big glass see-through window on one side--good for young love couples) was very clean and modern but the floor could be quite slippery when wet (especially when after a shower as there was no shower curtain or glass door between the walk-in shower and the sink/toilet). On the first day, one staff told me that there was a 7/11 about 300 meters from the hotel BUT in fact it was about 1-2 kilometers away! Good that I asked the security at parking.

Rooms were of a very high standard. Staff were extremely helpful. Facilities were very impressive. I liked especially the London Inn. Breakfast was sumptuous and delicious.

I loved the pool but did not notice the very large steps leading into the pool because the beautiful colour blends so well... so I almost slipped once and kicked the steps by accident. If they could be made more clear you might avoid future accidents. Otherwise the pool is absolutely beautiful and the inflatables are an original and very good idea

High class hotel with very professional and friendly staff. Amazing breakfast! Staff senses your needs and offers a solution before you ask for it. We didn't ask for an extea crib but they put it in the room already because they knew we travelled as a family with small children. Ithought there was only one hotel with this high standard of quality but this one is one of the best in Khon Kaen and maybe even the best. Location is great if you have a car because it is in a quiet area of Khon Kaen city.

The security guard for the cars. It is not nice if Thai people are assuming every foreigner is coming to Thailand and is going to Pattaya. Foreigners visiting the Esan are usually family minded and not interested in visiting those other areas. It is annoying if security guards are assuming our next stop is Pattaya. Furthermore I thought it was Strange to park the car outside and the have to walk up one stairs before reaching the elevator to go to the room.

Originally we only planned to stay for one night, but after the first night our plans changed and we extended our stay in Khon Kaen. Needless to say thatcbased on the friendly welcome we received on our arrival as well as the very nice and spacious room we were all happy to extend our time at the Avani. The extensive choices at the buffet breakfast made every morning a real taste sampling. From the set up I personally like the open set up of the lobby and spa/swimming pool area that lets a cooling breeze wavering thru the area.

The only point which was a little bit on the downside was the parking situation in the evening with limited outside spaces especially when there are functions going on. The indoor parking area is kind of narrowly measured when travelling with a SUV or Pick-up car

From the moment my wife and I arrived we were met with smilling employees that couldn't do enough for us. The restaurant was really good. I had booked two rooms, then my kids decided they wanted to stay home the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure I got a full refund for the 2nd room. This hotel is definitely the better of any hotels 9 have stayed in while I've been in khon kean.

Staff were very nice and friendly. They were helpful. Extra was unexpected, it was very comfortable.

About the rate of ABF for children. I'm not sure if i was wrong that children can't have freee breakfast if any of parent don't get ABF there. Please reconsider about it. The more you provide ever lasting service the more you will get return.

- The receptionist staff at Chinese restaurant and breakfast is not friendly and not helpful at all - Breakfast buffet not worth the value - Cleanliness of bedsheet, pillow cover, and duvet is not great; bedsheet and duvet have some dark&red stain while pillow cover looks very old with yellow stain all over the cover

The room was great.There were many facilities to choose from at the hotel, from hiring bikes to spa and karaoke and some great restaurants. The breakfast variety was very good .The staff spoke good english and security was good in always helping with parking and offering to carry a shopping after a visit to Central The products in the bathroom was lovely not sure if you could purchase but I would have. The only thing I could say is the lounge chair in the room was too big for the size of the room.Also I found with most hotel lighting in the bathroom over the mirror was not great if you doing make-up or shaving.
