Breakfast was excellent. Wide variety of foods and drinks, everything was superb! Location is perfect, within walking distance to most of the tourist sites.

There was dust in the corner of the room as well as around the cabinet. It was unclear what was complimentary (eg tea and coffee) and what was at extra cost. Guests would want to have a table near the bench.

Breakfast was very good; front desk staff, especially Rosa, were quite helpful and accommodating. Housekeeping did a super job every day. They were incredibly fast and efficient.

The fact that we walked around from train station for TWO HOURS trying to find the hotel, stopping to get information from at least 7 other hotels and one grocery store to ask for directions. NO one had heard of it or your street. I was beginning to feel like we had entered into a scam as this was the first time we booked through a consolidator and not directly with the hotel. I was not delighted with our very dark, small room with a miniscule bathroom. I do not recall that being the bathroom shown on the internet. I ended up being compelled to upgrade to a decent size room and a much bigger bathroom. I had no intention of spending that much, but felt we had to for our comfort.

Loved the location of the hotel, it was very central and close to all of the main highlights in Bergen. The room was very cozy, sheets were clean and linens changed daily. I especially love the soft pillows and simple Scandinavian / Japanese feel of the room. Breakfast was good with the perfect amount of options.

The only thing I would comment on was the elevators. I don’t know if it’s just me but I would sometimes wait 10 min for an elevator to come to my floor (I was staying on 7). My room was a bit small but cozy nonetheless. The other thing is when I first arrived I got lost looking for the hotel (turns out that the Charmant hotel also goes by Skoskredet hotel in their name and is actually on Skoskedet street) so the map kept taking me there and confusing me so I had to stop to ask someone. Important to note that this hotel is actually located on Domkirkgaten Gate (adjacent to the cathedral).

This hotel excelled our expectations. Located in the heart of Bergen with all the most notable attractions within walking distance. The hotel had excellent design and the comfort of the room was like nothing we've experienced before. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help and the breakfast was amazing. Definitely a hotel worth visiting again!

The Skostredet Hotel is beautifully appointed with a modern Japanese minimalist aesthetic. The wool blankets by Oleana in each room are particularly appealing design touches. The staff are welcoming and friendly - we were upgraded from our economy rooms to deluxe rooms which were spacious and well equipped with all the necessary utility and amenities. We arrived very early in the morning from Oslo on the sleeper train and were able to check in super early to get a nap in before spending the day in Bergen. Skostredet is perfectly located for anyone venturing to Bergen on a foodie holiday with Moon and Lysverket (both Michelin Guide restaurants) are within walking distance. My friend and I were exceptionally lucky to attend the soft opening of the Omakase by Pak restaurant that is set to replace the famed and much beloved Bare by Pak restaurant with Chef Pak at the helm. This was an unforgettable and truly special experience with Chef Pak lovingly preparing each hand picked dish right in front of us and regaling aspects of life as well as informing us about local and international cuisines and produce. Omakaze only seats 10 people so if you are interested in the restaurant I would highly recommend booking in advance. I would highly recommend Skostredet Hotel as a very beautiful and comfortable stay in the heart of Bergen

The personnel at the hotel is really nice, helpful and not intrusive. Everyone was very professional. The hotel itself is brand new and everything inside was new, which is always nice and pleasant. Cleanliness was kept to a very high level. The hotel is conveniently located close to the the bus and train stations, as well as the port from which many cruises take off. Yes, the area is the touristy part of town, but the specific location is rather quiet and within a few steps from restaurants and bars. The breakfast is amazing, a really wide and varied selection of different things, all fresh and neat. Some more labels on the different items in the buffet could be helpful.

This is not a major thing as it never became a big obstacle during our stay, rather a suggestion: it would have been very convenient if the restaurant would have a broader dinner menu. At the moment, there are options to get Izakaya or Omakase at the restaurant for dinner. Acknowledging different diets and needs, this may not fit everyone. I think we would have eaten dinner at the hotel more times if there was a broader choice (especially on rainy evenings or after coming back from a long day trip).

Lovely modern property in a great location! Rooms were spacious considering we payed for the economy double room we had lots of room and it was very clean thanks to a daily cleaning service. Had a coffee maker, mugs and tea bags and sugar included, had to ask for a kettle but was provided when we asked reception. Iron and ironing board also available upon request at reception. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast had every option imaginable and so delicious!

A safe in the room would have been handy along with a small fridge but aside from those suggestions, everything was perfect.

Location was perfect for all tourist activities we had planned in Bergen. Short walk to the main waterfront where the Fjord cruises go from. Also near to a nice selection of bars and restaurants. Hotel itself exceeded expectations, exceptionally clean and seemed very new, room was excellent, bed was comfortable, breakfast was good quality. When we were there the hotel was very quiet which made for a more exclusive feel, we were also offered a free room upgrade which was appreciated, staff very friendly. We would 100% stay again.

We couldn’t really fault the hotel. However, some people might have found the bed quite low. Hot section of the breakfast could have been kept warmer.

Vithuya and the guy who checked us in were both fantastic!! Vithuya went above and beyond when we had a early check out and was fantastic with my little one. She patient answered all my questions (I had many) and has such a happy aura. The hotel itself is brand new, fantastic design and so so clean!!!! breakfast is lovely but the hotel staff and the hotel design and cleanliness is fantastic. location is perfectly. This hotel exceeded all expectations definitely a 5 star hotel and an incredible price compared to other hotels. We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family :). Very spacious rooms!!

There is a street in Bergen by the pier to avoid which has a lot of drug users and homeless folks. Definitely ask the hotel staff which street to avoid begins with the letter D. . They were relatively harmless but definitely do not walk there with children. This is irrespective of which hotel you stay at.
