View was amazing, roof top bar superb, friendly staff, room was beautifully quaint, lovely breakfast included looking over the magnificent view. Great Shuttle Bus service.

Would have like to have been told by reception when we bought return tickets to Positano that it is hard to get the bus service back to Praiano. We were left waiting for an hour as we couldn't fit on bus and was worried we wouldn't get back to Praiano for the night.

Hotel was exactly as imagined and reviewed. An elegant, unique family hotel, beautiful views and amazing service, reception staff went out of their way to advise/help. Room was spacious, with the most incredible view. Parking on site. Bus to Positano literally outside But also option of SITA bus and internal shuttles. Reception staff amazingly responsive to WhatsApp queries. For us the trip is not just about hotel location, service, food, amenities but also those extra experiences that make it special. We arrived and told Angela we want to go to Positano. Within 10 mins we were on the bus, armed with bus tickets, bus times for return journey, and out bags were taken care of. We hiked path of the gods from praiano...what an incredible journey. Hope so v v much to be back! A note about how we chose this hotel.....reviews......so pls trust this one. Hotel is outstanding. Why did we choose praiano not Positano? Parking, accessible, relaxed, not celeb city. A simply relaxed village/town, beautiful hiking and food and views

You've found it!..The most wonderful little boutique hotel! Family owned and operated since 1971. The owner and staff are all so very lovely, kind, hospitable and attentive. We absolutely loved our stay. The room had a gorgeous view of the sea from our cozy balcony. The bed was comfortable and the room a nice size. I loved the historical charm and all the Italian tile. Breakfast was served daily and was incredible. Hotel provides free shuttle service to the beach and into town for shopping. So very accommodating. They also provided free parking (which is huge). During our stay we held a very intimate wedding ceremony for our friends. The staff was so helpful in planning and providing assistance. They ordered the brides flowers. The allowed us private use of the upper terrace before it opened to the public. They prepared a perfect spread of fruit and cheese along with Prosecco for after celebrations. I cannot say enough about how wonderful everyone and everything was during our stay. The neighborhood is quiet. Scenic and just beautiful. Several very nice restaurants walking distance. Hotel has its own very lovely restaurant I highly recommend. They also have a spa and though I did not have time for any services we did meet the staff and they were awesome. I am certain spa services would be amazing. I highly recommend you have the staff arrange a private boat ride for you. We booked 4 hours for 6 people 900 Euro. Absolutely worth every penny. We will never forget our stay here. It is a 10 out of 10 in every way.

Absolutely nothing to add here. I cannot think of a thing that I didn't like.

The service was excellent. We got up early to go on a hike and breakfast wasn’t served yet but they gave us a take away bag and let us fill up on pastries and fruit and coffee to bring with us. On the morning when we checked out, we had to leave at 430am and this time he had a bag filled with food and water and made us coffee to go. Suela and the whole team were always helpful with suggestions for things to do. The restaurant was wonderful. The room was immaculate. Excellent, would go again! Love that it has parking

Wish the pool was heated a bit more

Everything was above and beyond expectations. The owners, the staff the room, the view, the food we loved every bit of our weeks stay. If you are thinking of booking this jewel on the Amalfi coast then do it now, don’t hesitate. The shower was fabulous the towels fluffy and huge, the bed was the biggest & comfiest we have ever slept in the breakfast amazing. Nothing was too much trouble here we were treated like VIPs from the moment we were collected from the Airport by the car that the hotel organised for us.

The staff was exceptional. The restaurant staff for the morning breakfast and the roof top restaurant was delightful and efficient. The front desk was always helpful and friendly. The bar staff never disappointed. The facility was always clean and the pool area was wonderful. The surroundings were like out of a movie. The family that owns the hotel was welcoming and gracious. My wife had the pleasure of taking a cooking class and it was one of her favorite moments of our entire trip.

The location was great - quiet and relaxing but also very close to Amalfi Town and Positano. The hotel has a shuttle bus that picks you up and drops you off to Praiano town centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful and you can contact them on WhatsApp for anything which was very practical. The hotel was in a great condition and very clean. The breakfast was great too. The room was very comfortable and the balcony was a great bonus. The only reason we’re giving and 8 and not a 10 was due to the fact the walls were very thin and you could hear other guests. On the first two nights we had to call reception due to the guests in the room next to us being very loud. It put a bit of a downer on our first couple of nights/days. Otherwise the hotel was very good and we cannot fault anything else. We saw some reviews about the pool area being very busy but there was always space to relax when we went there.

The staff at Hotel Margherita are really friendly and helpful. The shuttle service is an excellent addition and made it really easy for us to go to the local beach in Praiano - it's a brilliant service. Our room was beautiful, nicely furnished and had a stunning view of the sea. Sleep kits were provided and were necessary as the rooms were not very sound proof; I was woken during the night by other guests shouting/calling out to each other in the corridors. We had a massage (five star massage) and it was incredible- without a doubt one of the best. The refillable water is a brilliant idea. Service at breakfast is friendly and there is a lot of choice.

We found the pool area looked very different to pictures advertised. The pool was much smaller than expected and there are not enough loungers for guests. The material used for the loungers is not particularly comfortable as it attracts the heat and is very painful to the skin when hot. We travelled for our honeymoon and felt disappointed that this wasn't in any way acknowledged; this is inconsistent with other travellers' experiences at this hotel and provided a stark contrast from the hotel we had come from.

Praiano is a lovely place and far from the bustling chaos of Positano, although there is a local bus which works well. This hotel is superb. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They gave us coffee and juice on arrival while we checked in, supplied a free shuttle early one morning to take us to the start of the Path of the Gods and provided coffee early every morning before breakfast was open. There are even coffee and tea making facilities in the room which is really unusual in Italy. The pool is a good place to cool off and the location is good, close walk to lots of good eating places. Beaches are accessible with a twenty minute walk or the hotel shuttle.

The hotel was so beautiful and so clean and the bed was so comfortable. Aircon worked extremely well and the hotel has absolute attention to detail with everything. Breakfast was amazing - try the pancakes! Honestly the best service I have experienced at a hotel - you ask and they deliver every time !! Absolutely loved our stay and we will be back :))
