Many really good things to say: - super friendly & helpful staff - fast & reliable wifi - breakfast was 630-930am each morning there was juice & coffee, two cereal options, scrambled eggs, waffles, bread, and bananas - the bathroom was spotless, the bed was comfy, and the shower was nice & hot with great water pressure, the room was clean in all the most important ways (i.e. no dust, no mold, no bugs, everything in good shape), - pet friendly, low pet fee & little patch of grass right out front - 20 min walk or very short drive down to the river

One very minor thing to say: - the floors in the room had obviously been cleaned, but they could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly

Rooms remodeled, updated, very welcoming and comfortable. Walking distance to two restaurants. I have stayed at the Sun Valley many times, but this was the best ever! Will be back!

Bathtub sides a bit high for a senior to step out of, but owner said I could request "no bathtub" next time and just have a shower. Who knew!! Showerhead excellent. All else great too -- larger refrigerator etc!!

We were totally impressed, and one of the best things about our experience at Sun Valley Motel was that it reminded me of some of the best motels my family stayed in during the 1960s when I was a child -- without the almost ubiquitous deterioration present at most motels still in existence from that era. Staff was also very friendly, attractive, hard working.

Sun Valley Motel was a delightful stay! The check-in process was seamless, and the location was easily accessible. The well-maintained building grounds added to the pleasant experience. Inside, the room was impeccably clean and thoughtfully prepared with soothing neutral colors. Highly recommended for a hassle-free and comfortable stay.

EXCELLENT! I wish every property was as comfortable, clean, and friendly as Sun Valley Motel. The staff was very friendly, and invited me to have free breakfast in the morning. The coffee was excellent, and I really enjoyed the waffle (which is fresh and easy to make yourself) with scrambled eggs.

Nothing to comment on. It was a perfect motel.

this was a little motel, in a tiny town. we didn’t have great expectations but this place was fabulous. super clean, quiet, the lady was so polite and helpful. my husband and I are traveling from California and stayed at 4 hotels along the way. this was our favorite for sure. almost makes us want to find a reason to travel back and stay again.

i liked everything.

The room was small, but the room was very clean. One spot on the floor. Looked like something had spilt previously. The bathroom was very clean and updated. For the price of the room. I cannot complain. The staff was really friendly. The restaurant that has been mentioned previously across the street was ok. For the price... I would definitely have gone somewhere, but since we got to the hotel late and the restaurant was still open, we were able to do a take out order. I guess you pay for convenience. But the hotel, no complaints.

We had a leaking sink that was promptly fixed,so wasn't a real issue. In the evening there was noise from other (long term?) guests till late. There was also a big storm going on that was loud anyway..

Understaffed, but excellent otherwise! I couldn't check in at first because the man at the front desk was helping the cleaning team and I couldn't reach him. Just leave a paper with your cell# next time, man. Otherwise it was cozy and beautiful and even had little paintings framed on the wall. *Didn't smell like mildew at all*, which automatically made it the best 2-star hotel on my entire road trip.

Nice and affordable, clean and pet friendly motel. Made for a great overnight stay traveling across Texas.

No complaints. Looks to be an older motel that was renovated. Bathroom looked newer though I wish there was a shower wand instead of stationary shower head.
