Absolutely wonderful!

The air-conditioning unit in our room did not have an auto function. We called the staff about that but they did not have a solution. Either the room was freezing cold or humid and stuffy if we turned off the AC. There was no coffee machine in our room. We were told that only suites have a coffee machine. It was really not the response I expected to receive in a five-star hotel.

Wapa di Ume was an incredible hotel. I booked a weekend here while in Bali as a birthday present and all expectations were exceeded. The pools are fantastic, the food is delicious, the facilities such as morning yoga were very relaxing. My favourite part was the bathtub in the room and the nature surrounding the hotel. There was also a delicious restaurant a few minutes near Wapa di Ume in case you want a change of scenery.

The food at the restaurant is a little westernised.

The Stuff is very friendly and everything in the rooms, restaurant and the grounds is very clean. Everything is very luxury and has also its price. On the other side they carry you on hands. If you like this, you’re right at wapa the ume. Very big rooms, super comfy bed and if you are lucky also a super nice view.

We didn’t really liked the pool. It was always quite full and hard to find a space to lay down. And often there were also kids jumping and splashing. Nobody there to supervise anything. Also nobody there to serve you drinks or small bites. The water looked murky… we were in way cheaper hotels before and the pool water was always clear. A bit of a bummer to be honest. The wifi wasn’t strong and disconnected all the time. The wifi only worked properly at the small local restaurant right next to the hotel. Tours are super overpriced in the hotel but you don’t need to organize anything yourself. If you like it this way, go for it.

My mom and I had the most incredible time at Wapa di Ume Sidemen. The resort was absolutely breathtaking, with its unique bamboo architecture and stunning views of the river and rice fields. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and the sight of lush greenery. One of the highlights of our stay was the sunset walk along the river, where we witnessed the majestic Mount Agung in all its glory. It was a truly magical experience. The resort's infinity pool was another favorite spot, offering panoramic views and a serene atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We even learned how to make traditional Balinese offerings, a cultural experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. The food at the restaurant was delicious, especially the breakfast. We indulged in the delectable avocado toast and other local delicacies. We also pampered ourselves with relaxing massages at the spa, which left us feeling rejuvenated.

I have nothing negative to say.

We decided to spend a little extra to get a room at Wapa di Ume for the last three nights of our trip. Our thinking was that we wanted to end the trip on a high. The hotel exceeded our expectations to the point that it felt like a bargain. The purpose of our trip was to to take photos for my art practice, and an unexpected bonus of staying at Wapa di Ume was that not only did it have incredibly beautiful views of the rice fields and hillsides, but the gardens throughout the grounds were of an incredibly high standard, with gorgeous tropical flowers and plants wherever you looked. I took hundreds of photos there over the three days. The hotel facilities are really great, the pools are excellent, the room was incredibly comfy with a beautiful view of palms outside. The restaurant was highlight, we usually like to out to explore the local cuisine on offer, but meals we had at the hotel were so good that we ate every meal there, wanting to try what was on the menu. The staff were are all so friendly, always ready to help, we felt really well looked after. I can't recommend this hotel enough, I can't wait to come back.

We can't say enough good things about Wapi Du Ume Sidemen. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the warm and attentive staff, who truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The views are absolutely breathtaking—lush greenery, serene rice fields, and a sense of peace that is hard to find elsewhere in Bali. The rooms were stunning, designed with such care and detail, blending traditional Balinese aesthetics with modern luxury. They were spotless, spacious, and provided an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. The spa It’s an absolute must! The treatments were amazing, leaving us refreshed and relaxed. We’re already dreaming of our next visit! Highly recommend to anyone seeking a slice of paradise.

I stayed one night in their new luxury tent and a few night in the classic rooms. I was afraid that the tent would be infested with insect but it wasnt. I was suprised how well isolated it was. The classic room was also great and has lot of space. Great Bed and bathroom in both. We had a private pool that was nice. But the hotel pool is way better, great view. I ate a lot in the restaurant due to bad weather. It was great every time from food to service. And globaly service was 5 stars. Every interaction I had was awesome.

The internet connexion was okay but not good enough for my work. Unfortunately this is the case all around Sidemen. The employees really tried to help me and installed a 5G relay but that didnt really helped.

Adored everything about this hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well by staff and had a very smooth check-in process. It is quite a small hotel which we really loved as it meant that all of the staff was able to remember our names and even our itinerary with them - it was such a nice touch during breakfast when a staff member said he will be assisting us during our Cooking Class. We enjoyed their spa experiences, floating breakfast and Cooking class.

Nothing, we really liked everything about this hotel. We hope that the quality and standard of care and service doesn't decrease as they expand.

Should you ever find yourself wandering the wonders of Bali, make sure you include Wapa Di Ume in your itinerary. It's the ultimate resort to unwind, relax, and forget about your to-do list (or at least pretend to). Nestled in the stunningly secluded area of Sidemen, it’s like stumbling into a secret paradise that’s too good to keep to yourself. My only regret, is that I didn’t book to stay here longer. Just a heads-up: booking early is essential! While it might seem pricey, rest assured it's still cheaper than a night at the Radisson Blu in London during Fashion Week—where even the pillows come with designer labels.

Very expensive for just one night. But, if you want the best views, and room with a pool, you’ve got to pay through the nose. Expect to pay a 20% service / tourist tax charge on top of everything.

This was the absolute highlight of our stay in Bali. Sideman was so beautiful and a peaceful escape from the bustle of Ubud or Seminyak. The staff at Wapa were exceptional and made sure our every wish was tended to. The rooms were lovely with views of the river and rice terraces and the nightly turn down service was sweet. The food at the restaurant from the delicious breakfasts to the complimentary afternoon tea snacks and delish dinners had us coming back every night. Don’t bother going anywhere else for dinner…we tried Asri at Samanvaya and were disappointed after being spoiled at Wapa! The Balinese massage is a must and so is yoga in the beautiful bamboo studio with a 360 view of the rice terraces. Highly recommended for a true sense of Bali without the madness of tourism!
