Every time I travel to Mexico City I make sure to stay at AR218. I travel often for work but also to visit friends and family, and for both scenarios the location is exceptional. You are in one of the best neighborhoods in Mexico City with numerous restaurants, bars, parks, and coffee shops all within walking distance. The neighborhood is very safe and I felt comfortable walking around at night. The hotel is very practical, you don't need to do a lengthy check in upon arrival, my room has always been ready an exceptionally clean. The rooms are spacious, not just a bed in a room but with actual sitting area, a table for meals or work, and the kitchenette is very well equipped should you decide to cook. I usually stock up the mini fridge with small sodas and snacks but there are so many amazing restaurants nearby that I have never felt the need to cook full meals. One block from the hotel there is a Mezcal themed restaurant that serves high-end Mexican food, and some of my best meals in the city have been there, I highly recommend it! Some reviews complain about lack of response from management or lack of cleanliness, but in my experience, my room has been made daily and I have always been able to contact management easily through whatsapp and with a swift response. I will continue to stay at AR218 every time I travel to Mexico city.

The towels could be slightly upgraded, but other than that my room has always been in perfect state. The toiletries

The location in Condessa is convenient for restaurants, parks, boutique-like shops and supermarkets. The area's ambience is great; You feel safe, the art deco-style buildings line the tree-lined streets, and the areas are walkable. The room is modern and a good size. The kitchen is adequately equipped. A lovey rooftop communal area with lounges and umbrellas. The management communicated with us in English and assisted when required.

Noise after hours was a concern. You could sometimes hear other guests using the stairs and walking in the communal corridor especially in the evening. One night (a friday night) there was excessive noise coming from the rooftop. This could be monitored better.

I booked this hotel kind of last minute and truly debating where to stay in Mexico City as a solo traveler. I saw some minor bad reviews so was concerned but honestly had the best time here. It is such a convenient location and very safe. Highly recommend - perfect spot to walk around and check out coffee, restaurants etc. It also seemed like a good spot to be picked up from via Uber or travel pickups. The room was spacious and had AC which was perfect! I saw some comments about noise and no AC but it was not an issue for me.

There were times where I could smell sewage or something similar - thankfully not in my room but closer to the elevator. To me this was minor though.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful during check in. The room itself was very well furnished and clean. The shower temperature and water pressure was fantastic. Centrally located and within walking distance to a number of top shops and cafes.

The room itself was dimmer than it appeared in the pictures. It also did not have any heating, which was problematic for me staying in December. These two together made the stay somewhat uncomfortable in an otherwise beautiful room. I raised my concerns with the hosts and they pledged to respond but they never did. Staff was friendly but lacked follow through.

The location was great for walking around and safe. The room was spacious and big bathroom. The location was great for coffee lovers and no issues coming going at late nights or early mornings. Not much issues with noise from the street. Big windows for the natural light to come in. Rooms temperature was able to changes with remote. Staff was great and helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily at the reasonable time of day. Cleaning personnel was nice.

Location, clean, and quietness.

Proper arrangement. And Laundry was down. We arrived at 7am at the property, and according to Booking the property will try to arrange our arrival accordingly. When got there, wasn’t able to be arrange because the place wasn’t ready. Which was totally okay since the check in was till 3pm. Owner didn’t guarantee sooner check in, but a follow up message was promised in case the room was available sooner. No follow up message or notice. Our trip was exhausting and at least an hour earlier wasn’t able to be arranged. We had to go rest somewhere else till check in time.

The property was clean and quiet. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hosts were extremely friendly and alway easy to contact. The security guard was always at the front desk and welcoming. Bonus - this property was located right underneath a Starbucks

The AC was not working during the time of our stay (they looked new maybe just not installed?). We were not notified about this until we were brought up to our room. I do feel this should have been communicated prior to check-in. Thankfully it was not unbearably hot and we were provided with a fan.

Awesome place! I really liked the hotel. The location is one of the best! Condesa is great and you have everything near the place, even a Starbucks on the first floor! Which I LOVED. They were super collaborative and had great communication whenever I reached out to them. Room was very spacious and I loved that cleaning was done daily. The lady security guard was so lovely. She helped me with a lot of information and also took me downstairs to use the laundry room. She was so helpful and cordial it made my stay an extra amount of good!

This is not something bad. But I think it is something they can improve. There is a board on the bathroom that says if you leave the towel on the floor, they will change it when they do cleaning that day. I left my towels several days on the floor, and they were never changed, they just hanged them again.

We have stayed at AR 218 on a previous trip in 2019, and on this trip, we actually abandoned another hotel closer to Parque Mexico (Casa Decu on Calle Culiacan) in order to stay at AR 218 because the smaller, picturesque Art Deco boutique hotel had tiny, uncomfortable, full-sized or "matrimonial" beds and our very cramped and dark room faced an internal airshaft and was overall just too cramped and depressing to stay in. We recalled that AR 218 had king-sized beds, spacious rooms, and light with patios and balconies, and so we moved over to the AR 218 after just 1-2 nights in the other location. The location in Hipodromo is great (I actually think that the areas in Hipodromo beyond the parque are up-and-coming), the hotel is medium-sized and very clean and quiet, and the rooms are actually large studio apartments that you can work comfortably in. The king-sized beds are large and the amenity of air-conditioning is great for days when the air quality is bad or the temperature is too hot. The addition of a new, hot restaurant (Botanico) across the street was an unexpected surprise and we were very happy that we moved hotels to AR 218!

Because we were trying to get to a better and more comfortable room with more natural lighting, we paid extra to upgrade to a balcony king bed room, and when we arrived, we were shown to a dark room on a lower floor with no exterior patio or balcony. We explained our situation to the hotel staff, and they worked to get us the room we reserved (which was much appreciated for our week-long stay!), but because these rooms are limited, this should be noted very prominently on booking sites to avoid confusion - there'e no point in paying a few extra hundred dollars for a balcony room that has no balcony!

It has a very luxurious look and feel to the entire property. The superior suite is very spacious and should be considered as a stay. Staff are very helpful and willing to accommodate.

Not applicable because I genuinely enjoyed everything about my stay. If there was one thing, it was this indentation on the floor of my room in the superior suite, but that's such a minor, inconsequential issue.
