Loved staying here!! The room was spacious and super clean! Bed was so comfortable. Contact with the owner via WhatsApp worked out perfectly, always answering within 15 min. Even early check in and late check out wasn’t a problem. Would highly recommend staying here! Also castellamare di stabia was the perfect place to stay, as all the attractions are super close and the city itself feels safe and quiet, great escape the touristy areas.

Nothing- all perfect!

Our stay at Mediterra was amazing. We came as a family to travel all around the amalfi coast and overall to the south of italy, so the location was perfect, right between Pompei and Sorrento (around a 10 min walk from the train station). The place was also a short 5 min walk from the sea, and from all the restaurants ! There also is many coffee and pastry shops, and a supermarket, right by the foot of the apartments. The room was spacious, clean, and the staff was amazing. Thank you Daniela for an amazing stay, hope to come back soon!

Only missing a drying rack at the window for the swimsuits and beach towels.

We are very satisfied with Mediterra! It’s very nice and clean, and Daniela is so helpful. The parking is in a parking garage, where we paid 45E for three days. The man who owned it was very helpful and kind, and the parking details and information was fixed before we arrived.

On the other hand, we were not satisfied with Castellemare di stabia, as a place to live in. The first day we wanted to go to the beach, but it was gross and full of trash (luckily it is just an hour drive to other beaches like Furore and Positano). The city needs to organize the trash in a better way, because it was not only the beach that was the problem. We recommend staying here if you are renting a car, and are planning to visit other places, because Mediterra it self was very nice.

What a beautiful room this is! Very nice design and all very clean and new. It felt like a luxurious room. The bed was so comfortable and the rooms extra sit area (desk) was nice to sit if you spend a bit more time in the room. The bathroom is super clean and beautiful with everything we needed. The host is so friendly and helpful and the location was great.

Too bad it does not have an outside area, but there are plenty of nice options along the coast.

The room we had in Meditera was good, clean and pleasant. All this in absolute contradiction to the entire building, which is very neglected. What balances the low condition of the building are the lovely Italian neighbors that were a pleasure to meet at the staircase. We never met Daniela, the owner, but communicating with her by phone was efficient and pleasant. At the bottom line, considering the good location and the attractive price Meditera provides good value for money.

The porch is cute but too narrow to sit.

Great spot - lively little area from which you can easily access Herculaneum, Pompeii, Vesuvius, Naples and Sorrento (and many others). Comfortable and budget friendly, the manager was easily contactable and very helpful. Would absolutely stay here again

Nothing. The door into the building is quite low so if you’re taller than 5’8” make sure to duck so you don’t hit your head like I did

This accommodation is set in a complex which you enter through a large secure door , via a wicket door. Enter a courtyard and then stairs up to the apartments. When we arrived we were met by the cleaner who had little English but used her phone to translate. The only contact we had with the host was via messaging and there was very limited information in the information folder. There were no maps , restaurant recommendations, areas to visit etc. We got a map from the local tourist office which was 2 streets away near the bus station on Piazza Giacomo Matteotti. Our host did message us on a regular basis but we never had any personal contact. The room itself was very nice, clean , comfortable and quiet. It has A/C , small fridge , toiletries , biscuits, coffee and a good sized shower. The Circumvesuviana rail station is signed at the bottom of via Roma , which is also the base for the cable car 🚠. The public gardens can also be found down here in what is a newish development. Our star find was Le Sorgenti cafe , which is around 50 metres from Mediterra on the Piazza Spartaco roundabouts. Great staff good prices, cakes with coffee €4 and a platter of nibbles if you had wine and beer, about €9 for the round. Also great people watching and crazy driving.

Lack of information and personal contact with host

The hotel owner is very helpful, interested, and completed all our shortcomings instantly. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Transportation is also close to the train station on foot. If you are thinking of staying here, you can definitely choose without thinking, you will never regret it.

The place is nice and the owner very welcoming and helpful. As someone said before , the workers didn’t finish facade before our arrival so the balcony door of our room couldn’t be opened. But we were lucky and in our second day another room facing inner courtyard was available and we moved. Both rooms we stayed in are well furnished. We had a very good sleep, the beds are comfortable. The street is a bit noisy. Don’t miss the cable car to Monte Faito (Funivia), that you can take from Circumvesuviana train station in Castellammare- the view is stunning. Thank you again Mediterra for your kindness!
