Excellent ratings for the following: (1) Apartments, especially our 2 bedroom, 1 bath with kitchen. Superb! Had everything we needed! (2) Staff, courteous, helpful, and professional. Absolutely fantastic! (3) Breakfast & staff, a wide variety of choices and constantly attended to so everything is available. The staff was excellent. (4) Location, it was only a 5-8 minute walk to the city center and harbor and 1 minute from the incredibly beautiful and peaceful City Gardens, (5) Onsite parking was a very, very big plus as you had a rental car. There was also quite a bit of free parking on the street right in front of the hotel.

The only nimor thing that we would suggest is for better pillows, perhaps slightly firmer with better filling. Although the pillows were new, they were thin and not the typical type that you find in quality-experience hotels.

Amazingly clean and modern hotel that maintains excellent and friendly service standards. The staff are wonderful and always willing to help out with anything. The location is a quick walk to downtown in the heart of the city, yet far enough away to be away from any loud celebrations or hustle and bustle. The included breakfast buffet is a great start to the day.

Wish we didn’t have to use a code when exiting the parking lot gate, but I certainly do understand the reasons for this procedure.

A wonderfully amazing location, always welcoming and friendly staff, we simply loved loved loved staying in one of the apartments - the extra space was excellent and the kitchen which includes a washer/dryer sealed the deal on this phenomenal stay. Having breakfast included as well as parking makes the Hotel Cruzeiro among the best that Terceira has to offer!

Never anything bad to say, we've stayed at this hotel a few times and look forward to several more stays over the years.

The staff was very welcoming and the facilities overall exceeded my expectations, better than the photos. The breakfast is more than enough, with high quality ingredients. The location is another keypoint, since the hotel is located right in the center of the city. They also have private parking.

breakfast was wonderful. The staff were friendly and very helpful giving us dinner recommendations and even calling to make reservations for us. The hotel was very clean, and in an excellent location. They had free parking available, its a decent sized parking lot but they do recommend that you request a spot when booking the hotel. We took advantage of this amenity and it was great to not have to worry about paying the meter on the streets. Free parking is difficult to find in the city, but hotel location was great for walking around.

The room doors automatically lock, which makes it difficult to close them without it slamming. I always felt bad if we left early/came in late that it would wake other guests.

The bed was super wide, the location is great and having private parking means the world (trust me). The staff is exemplary, mainly the breakfast staff that puts you in a good mood straight away. The included breakfast is very good. You get your classic eggs, bacon, beans... But also several types of bread and homemade cakes and fruit. The room had a mini-fridge (with some products), but it was great for us to also keep some food we'd bought over the days.

I feel the bathroom could use some upgrades. A humidity extractor, some perfume (it's windowless) and better quality toilet paper. Also, only one side of the bed had a nightstand, which meant I had to use the chair to put phone and glass of water.

We only stayed one night on the island but the hotel was perfect for us. Huge and comfortable bed, quiet room.

No vegan options at breakfast.

Very modern feeling hotel in a good location. The staff was very helpful and made excellent recommendations for dinners. Rooms were large and clean. Breakfast was very good.

Hotel is located about 1/2 mile from the main part of town on a hill. It was a difficult uphill walk from town for mobility challenged seniors.

Location was great (although up quite a steep hill from the main square). The shower was awesome, and the breakfasts were very good. The staff was friendly, and the wifi worked well. No complaints. The place seems quite new.

Really, nothing to bitch about.

The rooms were quite spacious and decorated wonderfully. The items in the honor bar were reasonably priced. Most importantly the staff was awesome! From check-in to check-out everyone we came in contact with was extremely nice and very helpful.

Not a single thing! We will be back next year.
