Amazing views. Clean, comfortable and very well thought out accommodation. Staff are exceptional. Can't do enough to help. There was nothing that had been overlooked. There is a lovely, safe playground for the children which requires your room card to access it. Each of our 3 bedrooms had patio doors leading to the garden. The lounge area and kitchen both had a balcony with stunning sea views. One of which led up to an additional flat roof area. Can't fault this place. Will definitely be going back.

Nothing negative to say about this place.

We stayed in a 2 bed, seaview town house for 7 nights. The house was modern, very spacious, exceptionally clean and had everything we needed to cook evening meals. The pool area was lovely but we didn't use the pool as we had our dog with us so preferred to go to the beach. Salema beach had signs saying 'no dogs' so we headed to Fuigueira beach (5 minutes by car) as it was advertised as dog friendly and it was a gorgeous little bay accessed by a short track. The balcony and small garden on the ground floor were perfect. Salema Beach Village is at the top of a hill, therefore the views are stunning. The hill is steep down to the beach, we preferred using the steps, if you are reasonably fit then it shouldn't pose a problem, but if you have heart or walking issues then probably best to avoid although you can call reception for a golf buggy to pick you up. We were delighted with our accommodation and would definitely return.

All good :O)

This was our second stay, the previous stay five years ago. We love the location and the shuttle service down to the beach and restaurants. The apartments are nice and modern and spacious, although this stay highlighted a lack of attention to detail. Some of the furniture looked tired and the cleanliness wasn’t up to the standard we expected. Under the bed hadn’t been cleaned, the kitchen cupboard doors and handles were sticky and the bathroom sliding doors were also dirty. The beds were harder than we are used to but that can’t be helped. The kitchen had hardly any cooking trays etc so eating in was more difficult than it should have been. The complex is lovely and the pool is great for families and the beach is one of the nicest beaches we have visited. We hired a car for this trip and did some sightseeing locally which we also loved.

Cleanliness wasn’t up to scratch, mattresses were very hard

Our two bedroom house was very spacious with beautiful sea views. Well appointed with everything you need for a self-catering stay. Cleaned daily to a high standard. Pool was lovely and pool bar great. The site is spread out and is very steep, but we were at villa number 1 which is the furthest away from reception/the pool area (although closest to town) but even so found the walk manageable even with a toddler, but also caught the golf buggy at times, which was super convenient!

Our only (very minor) complaint were that there were quite a few fruit flies in the house. Not sure why as bins were emptied daily for us and it was immaculately clean.

it was a great stay overall. we were very happy to have so much space for the kids, the location is stunning and going to the beach is easy as the hotel offers a shuttle bus.

the food options, the snack bar had some basic food but for the night we would've loved to have a nice dinner and being able to just order it and get it in our room. instead we had to drive around town to find some food to take away. this is because we were with our 2 daughters who were at that time sleeping. also I would have some basic stuff in the kitchen like pepper, salt, olive oil. as we had to buy so many things to just be able to cook there.

From beginning to end, our stay at Salema Beach was wonderful. From the assistance with airport transfers to our warm welcome upon arrival, and everything in between, the staff were absolutely lovely. The accommodation was clean and well equipped, and the pool was a beautiful place to spend some time relaxing. The shop, bars and restaurants are only a short walk away, although the very steep hill makes it tough going... thank goodness for the friendly Salema Beach Resort shuttle which we made good use of! Salema is a lovely little gem of a place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The dishwasher in our apartment kitchen wasn't working properly. The crockery and glassware were stored in a high cupboard that was very difficult to reach. There were a few occasions we had to wait a long time for the shuttle. Although we had some wonderful meals out, the restaurants generally didn't cater well for vegetarians.

The most beautiful small village in Algarve. Villas are exquisite! We had a villa with a sea view and it was the best view one can imagine. Every morning arround 7:15 the sun would rise behind the hill and we were looking at it while having a morning coffee. The resort is beautiful, very clean and well organized. You have a free buggy at your service to get you to the beach, restaurant, market... Salema beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Algarve, we liked it even more that Praia di Marinha. Everything is close, up to 1 hr drive so you can sightsee whole Algarve easily. The best stay ever!

The apartment and the resort were just beautiful - we were only sorry we didn't have more time to spend in the area. The staff was so helpful giving us a ride downtown to a restaurant, too.

The only problem we experienced was that we found tiny ants crawling from the refrigerator corner in the kitchen to the patio outside the dining room - we did not have any food since we were only there from about 3 PM until 8:30 AM the next morning and just went out for dinner the night we were there. We found a sticky area with lots of crumbs under the rug in the dining room, so they may have been attracted to that - many were crawling in that general area. We kept killing them but there were more and more - probably killed over 500 - were hoping they wouldn't make it down to the bedroom level.

Absolutely love the location, amenities, frindly staff. Spacious villas with individual bathrooms, close to everything and the playground is lovely as well. Kid-friendly property which was a huge plus for us.

There was construction in the villas in front of us, so it was quite loud and at times smelled of paint. Granted, we did not stay indoors during the week, so it was not a major inconvenience. Cleaning can be done better, but again not something that bothered us much.

We loved our stay at Salema Beach Village! After searching long and hard for a family friendly resort in the Algarve, we settled on this place and have no regrets. The location is up on the hillside and offers stunning views down over Salema and the surrounding cliffs and sea. We paid a bit extra for a townhouse with a seaside view and it was well worth it. Our townhouse was very spacious, modern and clean. Our only “complaint” is it didn’t offer much character, but alas you usually can’t have it all and this can be expected with a modern build. The communal pool area is relatively small by modern resort standards, but we felt this was actually perfect as our 3.5 year old son loved the space and it wasn’t too big for him. The kiddie pool and elephant slide were favourites. The pool bar offered the essential drinks and food you’d want and the prices were reasonable. The pool area was overall an intimate and relaxing space, nice compliment to spending time at the beach or somewhere to drop in after a day out sightseeing. When we checked in we were given the option to request extra children’s items (free of charge). The bed guard, eating utensils, toilet seat and toys were very handy. Our son spent hours playing with the toys which comprised a decent selection of cars/trucks and animal figurines. The resort is quite modern, well maintained, and the staff friendly and helpful. They even offer a free buggy service to shuttle you up and down the hill to the town centre/beach, which is only about a 15min walk away. There you will find a decent selection of restaurants and bars (mostly higher quality type places with plenty of fresh seafood on offer) and of course the scenic beach nestled below the cliffs.
