Quiet atmosphere, and availability of electrical appliences and everything a customer needs. The street is clean, there is good communication and prompt answers via e-mail. Hospitality of the staff. It is always warm, no insects, no mice, hot water is always available. Breakfast is tasty and the service is excellent. There is a romantic atmosphere in the restaurant as well as historical fascinating ambiance around your restaurant building.
The chandelier above the sofa, in the kitchen, hangs very low, and when I get up from the sofa, I often bump my head against the chandelier. It would be also be good thing if the condition of staying at the hotel were explained in more detail, for example, adding toilet paper, taking out the trash or changing linen and towels. We thought the service was done authomatically. There is also a wish to add additional means of communocation, such as WhatsApp or another social network messanger, because abroad we are provided SIM cards for the internet without a phone number. But on balance we are very satisfied and happy to stay in your place.

We were traveling all day on Christmas Day and my (French-German) husband booked this small hotel as our stopover on the way to see family near Cologne. I'm not sure why I wasn't expecting much (maybe because the room was well-priced?), and was worried that the Christmas Dinner he had reserved (also in the hotel) would be not great. Boy was I wrong! A charming, historical space, very warm welcome, delicious food and wine and a cozy, pretty, comfy room. Even a lounge with coffee and an honor bar. If you find yourself in the area, definitely consider it!
My only problem was that the shower, which was not separated from the bedroom, had a full glass wall where you could see the person showering. Even though I'm married and we've seen it all before, I prefer the option of privacy in my showering.

We rented one of the offered apartments. The apartment was quite modern and very spacious, the kitchen was well-equipped and we were able to make good use of it and actually cook full meals. Very comfortable for a city stay.
We would have loved if the kitchen also had some basic cooking supplies such as cooking oil and spices (to start with), there was only salt and we had to buy a lot of groceries which we barely used. Also note that the location is in a remote neighborhood of Trier - while it is quiet and even has its own history, it takes a while to reach the city center by car or even by bus, as ongoing construction works causes severe traffic on most days.

This is hotel located in a historic building, run by people who care. Our favorite stopover on the drive from South France to Northern Germany. Staff is extremely nice, helpful and accommodating, rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the restaurant serves great food and has a sommelier who gives great wine recommendations. Great value too.
View to the Mosel river also looks to a busy road a few hundred meters away (the noise is just a hiss though). We preferred rooms looking to the courtyard and the extremely helpful staff would always accommodate.

Lovely,, charming place. I have got all expected - small boutique local hospitality experience. Cozy room, comfortable bed with a possibility to sleep with open window with a view to a river. Calm surroundings, a long promenade to walk or jogging (regrettably we did not take our dogs but this is too far journey by car for them!). Fancy restaurant with professional staff on site. Great property, felt like in auntie’s house in childhood. Safe parking. The city itself not far, you can reach it by car, train (1 stop) or by feet. The hosts have really good taste.

I loved the service provided by Christiana. She simply accommodated all our requests - starting from late check out to serving us last minute dinner - on 31st December. The room had a splendid view of the river. We even got the private salon area on the first floor to ourselves - turned out to be a romantic endeavour!! Despite being such an old hotel the infrastructure has been refurbished.
Too many pillows on the bed. The hotel takes 13 minutes by foot from the train station and is actually in Pfalzel, not Trier.

Beautiful conversion of an Abbey into a hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We decided to eat in the hotel rather than venture into Trier, and the food was superb. It was a last-minute stop for us, but we will put it on the route to Spain and definitely stay again.
Shower drain was blocked. Hotel staff informed on booking out. Otherwise the room was lovely.

Very nice property, nice atmosphere and very good styled rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The quality of the food is superb.
Although the rooms are equipped with air purifiers (Dyson), after a warm day it is very hard to cool the room. With more heat coming, an investment one day in airconditioning would really increase the level of comfort.

breakfast sitting outside near the river was really nice. good breakfast and friendly lady to look after us. Room was comfortable.
we didn’t realise that we were staying on a “rest day” when the restaurant was closed and it was self checkin. we were informed of this ahead of our arrival and given a recommendation for somewhere for dinner, but it did change the atmosphere of the stay for us.

Friendly staff, very nice to excellent dinner for a good price, ok breakfast, spacious apartment.
Breakfast could have been a bit more varied perhaps. Apartment was a bit dark. No problem if you are always away, but otherwise …
