The location was good, close to Westfield Shopping Centre, Geelong Water front is only 13min walk. The rooms were very spacious, glad I got what I requested for- interconnecting rooms. The buffet breakfast was good with different options, and what made it even more delicious was the waffles with variety of toppings like chocolate and the sprinkles. And to have that on Friday public holiday was a bonus!

Although the rooms were clean, the facilities are not updated or modern. Also, noisy AC and looks like it was already being programmed to a limited adjustment so the heating and cooling wasn't great. Some fruits in the breakfast were not fresh however there were other options to choose from. Hot chocolate is not included in the buffet you have to pay extra if you need one. Other than that, our stay was lovely

Room was clean. An older shower but nice tiles Friendly service Great location

Room felt a bit dated The mattress were to soft The pool was to busy The direction to the gym was not correct so we found it to late. The buffet breakfast was not worth the cost. It tasted ok but the machine only made black coffee. No hot chocolate available. Not that much choice in item in the buffet. Like no cheese. So stuck to the scrambled eggs, some baked beans looked house made, chicken sausage, becon and hasbrowns. Fruit, yoghurt, muslie, toast some sweet pastry. Corn flakes, jam etc. As I am on low carb diet I stuck to eggs, sausage some beans and fried tomatoes, 1 slice of wholemeal bread. The eggs just needed a little something to make them tastier.

Great Location, Really great comfortable bed, Excellent shower pressure. Had an issue with a noisy room, and staff went above and beyond to find me a quieter room and closer to other people I was with.

A couple of times our floor got noisy with children running around the hotel floor playing. I had loud disrespectful guests next door coming home back to their room being noisy and loud on 2 nights at 3 am and 2am in the morning. ( This wasn't the hotels fault though). My room was very noisy due to the fan outside the window and being a light sleeper, I had terrible sleep. This was resolved as they moved me.

Friendly courteous and efficient staff. We chose to stay at Rydges Geelong because it was right next door to St John of God Hospital as we were from out of town and needed to stay there for two nights whilst our family member had surgery. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our stay which included two very comfortable double beds. We were very appreciative of being able to have dinner at the restaurant located within the hotel, our meals were top quality and the restaurant staff very pleasant and attentive and dealt with a very unpleasant patron with the utmost professionalism. Secure onsite car parking was also very reasonably priced and the added bonus was a delightful coffee shop right across the road.

The only criticism we have is that when we asked reception for extra tea bags we were only offered two initially which wouldn’t have gone very far between our family but upon request we were given more.

The rooms were spacious and clean. They had a great view of the foreshore so we could see the New Years Eve fireworks very well. The staff were wonderful. The ladies at the front desk were very able and willing to help with any queries and questions. Check-in and check out were easy and quick. We stayed on New Years Eve, which was reflected in the price. It was excessive but typical of the time of year. Otherwise, this hotel is very reasonably priced.

The beds were a little softer than we were used to. The car park entrance was difficult to get into as there is a speed hump right at the boom gate.

Lovely spacious room. We had breakfast sent to our room one morning. Arrived in allocated time and was really good.

We had dinner in the restaurant one night. Even though the food was lovely we had to wait over and hour and a half for our meals. The kitchen ran out of the initial meal I ordered which took an hour and 15 minutes to let me know. So I ordered something else. It was lovely that we were given a free drink, however, it would've been nice for updates during the evening. Instead we were just left alone and had no idea why we were waiting so long. Other customers questioned the wait time and they were constantly told "another 15mins". We understand that things can go wrong, it just would've been nice to know the delays. The restaurant wasn't full either.

The front desk, a man with golden hilight on his hair was amazing, friendly and helpful. The room was bigger than I thought, clean and the bed+pillows were comfortable, breakfast was good, we paid $60 for 3 adults and 1 kid which was a great deal.

Just a staff member at the front of breakfast, I was trying to explain that we booked 2 rooms and the guests on their list were wrong, when I looked at the list on the paper which I was trying to point that my room got 2 adults with 1 kid instead of 2 kids and 1 adult, she straight away use her hand cover it and told me don't worry about others, but others booked under my name! How can't I explain? I got a bit annoyed so I told her off "please you need to listen" as she didn't listen to me, and then I explained it. Anyway she came to apologise when I left that she thought I was coming with everyone (just me and my kid presented at the front). She shouldn't be working at the front if she doesn't listen, what guests want.

The beds were amazing, so very cosy & comfortable. The room was clean. It wa since to be able to look out the window into the world below & around us & then have some time to relax in the room and watch some Tv.

We ordered the night time room service. Sleep walker: we ordered in some night time snacks,Bolognese Ragu jaffle (was actually a toastie) but very nice. We also ordered the selection of mini deserts (5 pieces) unfortunately these tasted stale but on check out after letting a staff member know they kindly removed the charge for this item off our bill. Also shower needs a new shower head, the water didn’t flow very well but we feel this is an easy fix.

The room and building was beautiful. The buffet breakfast was quite nice. The staff was lovely and accommodating with our queries especially the lovely gentleman who was working the bar the evening we arrived and also delivered our meals to the room that evening... man of many talents and hats!

The room service I felt, was a little over priced for what we ordered, but it was ok. I was also a little disappointed there was only access to the free to air channels on the TV but again, a minor inconvenience.
