The location was always with good vibes, hotel manager always on site going around his hotels and speaking to the hotel guests. The breakfast is served directly opposite of the hotel in the restaurant, which at night had a very chilled vibe, for having a turkish tea, beer and/or wine and very reasonably priced compared to other places.

The shower is not handheld, it only had a rainfall shower head, so it was a bit uncomfortable for the wife to take a shower without wetting her hair. Soundproofing could have a bit more done to it, sometimes people drinking, laughing stay up till 4am and can easily be heard, not really something that I did not like - but sometimes you would not mind some peace and quiet. Also, the room could use a couple of more lights in the room, the lighting was a bit low - but it seems to be everywhere in Turkey.

Very nice hotel located in a small alley next to Istiklal street. The street and the nearby alleys are always packed with people, and lots of bars/businesses around are open 24 hours. Plenty of options and stuff to do. Room was comfortable, as fulfilled expectations!

As mentioned by many other reviews, it is a noisy hotel. But with some good earplugs its more than fine!

This review is based on a very reasonable price paid which makes my stay excellent value for money. Regarding the noise - yes, it is noisy, especially during the weekend (it didn't bother me much), but it is the most central location it could be so you can't expect peace and quiet. It is surrounded with bars and pubs so it is very lively area. I, personally, liked it. The location is perfect for the first-time visit. Staff is nice, polite and and welcoming. Design of the room is very nice and interesting, but don't expect luxury. Towels were changed every day, shampoo refilled and free bottles of water given every morning. Breakfast was kind of basic but okay to start a day (only sausages as meat option). For the regular coffee and drinks, there's a nice bar just in front of the hotel.

Breakfast could have been more various (it is exactly the same every day). Deluxe suite didn't seem like 30 square meters but smaller. Bathroom also small but functional.

We stumbled on Kamil Bey after a disappointing hotel experience in sultanahmet. The staff could not be nicer & considerate. Its clean and rooms are well appointed. There's plenty of bar/cafes with comfortable seating directly outside and nearby. Taksim square and shops are one block away and we enjoyed stepping into main street energy and retreating back to the bars/cafes in front of Kamil Bey. Plenty of shade when it's hot. There is music from the surrounding bars at night, so if you sleep light ask for a room on a higher floor - it didn't bother us.

The club near the hotel can be a bit loud on the weekend.

The location was amazing and the staff were lovely. The cleaner did a great job and restocked things daily. The bottle of water was a nice touch.

Yes it's a very noisy street so there is a lot of noise at night. Even on the top floor, it's still very noisy but it adds to the vibrant city experience. My main concern was how we had a shared balcony yet the bathroom window didn't have a lock. Opened just by pushing. Definitely would have been nice if there was a lock on the window

the breakfast was good, different types of jams, eggs, 2-3 types of chesse and watermelon for fruit. For me it. was ok, specually the turkish tea was amazing.

it's in the heart of the city. so at nights you can hear the music. it was not annoying at all for me and my partner, but if alittle bit of extra noise is not bothering you, then you have the chance to step out of the hotel and sit in a bar just in front of the hotel or at the corner.

The hotel is close to Taksim, but still off the main Istikal street so it is a bit quieter. It's really easy to get to the Sultanahmet area and all major sights with public transport. The staff are nice.

Unfortunately, all the reviews that say it's loud are right, there are a bunch of clubs in the street next to the hotel and you can hear everything at night until around 3am, bring earplugs!

we stayed there for the location. we booked 2 rooms, we got them one next to eachother without asking, which we appreciated. both rooms nice and clean, sheets are nice, bathroom was fully functional and the water was instant hot. Staff was there and efficient at checkin and also they allowed us to leave the lugage with them as we had a very late flight. it's a very good value for the money.

the noise from the bars around is a reality but it comes with the location. just bring earplugs and it will be fine. us, 4 adults, we were too tired in the evenings to even care about music and noises from the street. i noticed istanbul hotels going more to "pay in advance" and also less cancellation policies the than previous years. as a customer i must say i dislike this lack of flexibility. but i can understand the other perspective as well, it's not the best. all in all it was a success for us.

I recently stayed at Kamil Bey's suite in Turkey and had an exceptional experience. The owner is incredibly polite, generous, and always willing to help, making the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is immaculate, with clean and well-maintained facilities. It offers a wonderful environment for a relaxing vacation, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Turkey. You will not be disappointed!
