Well located, steps away from the convention center and good restaurants, about 10 minutes walk to the clock tower. Close to the port. Easy to get around and great value for money. Rooftop terrace is awesome. Bring your reusable water bottles, they provide ice and cold water which is super helpful.

Breakfast was so so in my opinion.

Best hostel breakfast ever! Always a choice of fresh options, really substantial and was great every morning. Free coffee, drinking water and ice 24/7. Hostel is in a fab location and the staff were incredible friendly and helpful - cheap laundry service too!

The property is located in an ideal location - close to the walled city and center of Getsemani, but in a quiet street of Getsemani. Close to everything you are looking for as a tourist. Staff are welcoming and friendly and a special shout out to Jolie and Jose at the front desk. The breakfast was great all 3 days of my stay and the menu changes daily, the rooms are equipped with an AC, fridge and the wifi is strong. Water in the shower was luke warm but you don't really need hot water in Cartagena. The hotel has a warm, homely feeling about it and I made the absolute right choice staying there

If I have to nit-pick , I'd say the toilets and the basin were small.

Bed and pillow extremely comfortable for a hostel! Location is good. Some of the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the night guy and the girl with curly red hair that serves breakfast!

The toilet/shower is only 1 tiny one for a 10 bed dorm. I had scrambled eggs on my first morning and they were extremely runny, I got sick afterwards and think it would have been the eggs...can’t be 100% sure, but they shouldn’t be serving watery eggs anyway…especially in a place as hot as Cartagena where the eggs sit out all day long in the heat. Found the other staff quite unfriendly as they don’t really smile or anything, I think after a bit of time they warm up to you. But walking in and seeing all their unfriendly faces standing in the kitchen area (attached to reception) everyday isn’t the most welcoming.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Loved that the room had AC at all hours and worked very well - I hate when hostels only give designated AC hours so it was amazing they didn't do that. The beds were super comfortable - I had excellent sleep here. Loved that it had curtains, a lamp, very spacious room, huge lockers, lots of counter space, mirrors, etc. I stayed in the 10 bed dorm which I never do but the room was kind of split into two rooms (4 beds and 6 beds) so it didn't really feel like a 10 bed dorm. I read the smaller dorms feel more cramped. I also read that the hostel is not the best for solo travelers, but if you book the 10 bed dorm, you up the chances of meeting other travelers. If you're a solo traveler, I recommend staying in the 10 bed dorm and hope to meet other solo travelers in there. I stayed here for 5 nights and for like 4 nights, there was only 2-4 people in the 10 bed dorm but my friend stayed previously and met a lot of people in her dorm. The staff are all so friendly and helpful - they were all phenomenal. Super responsive, provided lots of tips and info, and were all so nice and friendly! Loved all of them. The location is safe and perfect - a short 10 minute walk to the walled city and you're right in Getsemaní but away from the noise. The WiFi worked really good. Lots of restaurants nearby/short walk. They also provide free delicious homemade desserts for guests. Free cold water refill which was amazing! There's a hot tub (I'm assuming cold water?), rooftop, restaurant, etc. The place was really clean - always being cleaned. Overall, I loved my stay here. I would stay here again because I loved how nice/comfortable the room was and the AC!

It is a little harder to make friends as a solo traveler. Maybe they can throw some free events like game night or happy hour to get people to mingle/make friends? The door to the 10 bed dorm is really loud so every time someone walks in/out it kind of slams when it closes. Not a big deal for where I slept but for the people right next to the door, I can imagine that being very loud for them when sleeping.

One of my top places I would recommend to fellow travelers. The staff here are so attentive and responsive to whatever is needed. I had a security situation happen while staying here and the staff went above and beyond to assure I was safe and secure. The staff really care about their guests and it was so nice as a solo traveler to feel like I had people who were watching out for me. Many budget accommodations don’t give the same care and attention as Life is Good, you really get much more than what you pay with this place. Plus the breakfast & cooking class are fantastic.

The staff are fabulous, so helpful and kind. The breakfast is great, best scrambled eggs I've had in Colombia. There's an adorable kitten, that just makes everything better. Location is brilliant. Safe and secure. Enormous lockers. Luggage storage (10k per bag per night). Good light and plug sockets in bed. Amazing A/C. Comfortable beds.

I was in the 10 bed dorm: there's no shelf space for the two bottom bunks in the first section of the room, whereas all the other beds have space to put stuff on top of the lockers. But that's only a minor inconvenience. Having a little shelf next to the plug in the bed would be useful, I kept knocking the plug out when I moved the blanket. Laundry service very expensive (40k per bag)

Hostel is located right in a city centre, very clean, delicious breakfast included and staff is extremely helpful. During my trip i have unfortunately been robbed. The team at the reception really went beyond any expectations helping me with everything including accompanying me during the trip to the police station and filling in the claim. Especially big shout out to Oscar and Edith for their Support. I cant imagine any other hostel would devote that much time to help their guests.

N/A - amazing stay

Everything! The staff was amazing...and helped with every need. They all had smiles and could tell it was a great pkease to work. The decor was fabulous...it was like antque meets modern. Breakfast was great. I live in the states and the breakfast they served was the same price ad the room. The cooming class was fabulous...i just wish there were more cooming stations so we could actually cook for beginning to end, instead of taking turns. The chef was delightful and Angelo is so sweet ...he helps in all areas of the hostel. I will definitly be coming back and will stay with them . There was a housekeeper there that just put a smile on my face everyday. She was akways smiling and singing. I hope i got the right picture of het. Id come back just for her because of the cudtomer service and the joy she radiated.

Breakfast was great and the team was helpful and kind. I stayed in a private dorm, didn't set an alarm thinking I would wake up with the general noise from a hostel but overslept like I never did in a hostel. I's not a party place, but you can definitely meet people in the common areas and the location is central to visit Getsemaní and the city Centre. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it
