Pleasant surprise-- sort of an oasis in the desert--I was surprised by the massive size of the resort compared to the rest of the sleepy little village. Not a blade of grass in the rest of the town and desert but beautiful manicured lawns at the resort. Multiple pools, coffee bar area, large air conditioned restaurant. Front desk staff were extremely helpful--all staff were very attentive.

Wi-Fi only available in public areas and pretty weak there. One English speaking television channel which was RT (Russian Television) constantly giving Putin propaganda. Dinner at the restaurant was a little on the high side even a-la-carte ordering. This was the most expensive hotel night (about $350 including taxes) we had during a 22 day trip that covered Dubai-Maldives-Cairo-Abu Simbel-Istanbul (well except for the Maldives of course). I guess the Law of Supply and Demand is fully in charge here since there really are no other suitable options available.

We stayed here for one night - super location overlooking Lake Nasser - 5 minutes drive from Abu Simbel. The hotel is very impressive set in its own private grounds and with a great pool area. The room was very spacious and tastefully furnished. Cool balcony with a view of the Lake. On checking in, we were upgraded to have breakfast included - this was great as it cost around $30 each. The breakfast buffet had a great variety to suit all tastes. Would definitely stay again if we could afford to!

It's fairly expensive but you can see why. Disappointing that there was no wifi in the room - only in communal areas - which seems odd for such an impressive hotel. The hotel souvenir shop was very expensive.

We loved the location within walking distance to the temples.

We would have wanted easy and delicious a-la-carte dining options. A-la-carte was only available at the bar with limited choices. The restaurant offered expensive lunch and dinner buffets only (the decent breakfast buffet, however, was included in the room price). Also, we did not receive room service as we responded to the knock that we would be gone in one hour (which was still within their service hours), and the housekeeper nodded, but then no one ever serviced the room while we were gone. and no one ever picked up the used fruit plate with just peels. The person who brought a new fruit plate refused to take the old one and didn't send anyone else to pick it up.

Facilities, rooms, landscaping and location were great.

Service was mediocre, but lazy staff frankly that often gave you a long face when asked to do anything. And definitely don’t eat there. Breakfast is just about ok. Western dinner is not recommended. Go outside and eat local

We stayed at the end of January 2022 for one night in Executive Suite. I can say that the room is kind of dated BUT is really clean and in good condition and has all the amenities you need and more. The view from our balcony to the lake was spectacular, the sunset was amazing. The room itself is really huge and had 2 toilets which is nice. The bed was super comfy. It was exceptionally cold during our stay so it was nice to have an AC with heater. Due to covid19 there was not a lot of people at the resort so it felt we had the whole place to ourselves. The food was really good and the breakfast was super good and a lot to choose from, special thanks to the omelet makers :D We got also some complimentary sugarcane dring from the manager. It was really yummy, thank you for that! All the personnel was really nice, welcoming and professional. We went to the Abu Simpel Temples in the morning at 6 am, walking distance btw, and had the whole place to ourselves for 1.5 hours, only 2 dogs rumbling around. We saw one of the most amazing sunrises in the world just by ourselves, huge highlight of our trip!

Since it was exceptionally cold during our stay we could not really use the pool since it was not heated, but that is again just a minor negative thing.

We enjoyed our one night stay at Seti Lake Resort. We arrived early due to a change in flight schedule and were pleased to be able to check in right away and be upgraded to a suite from our double room. The suite was spacious with a view of Lake Nasser. The room and furnishings were a little old but well-kept and comfortable. The location is excellent, only a short walk into town or to the temples. The pool was cool and refreshing.

We didn’t eat at the hotel as it was very expensive compared to the restaurants in town.

The staff were amazingly friendly - Mohamed was fantastic and really helped us out, even after we checked out of the hotel and were in other parts of Egypt!! We were upgraded for free and so our room was huge and we were given free cookies and fruits. The location the temple was excellent.

No WiFi in our room, but it was available everywhere else in the resort

The property design and landscaping is beautiful. The room design is Nubian style, large and comfortable. We were upgraded at arrival and had a terrace with wonderful sunset views. The hotel is very peaceful overlooking the lake. Perfect for relaxing. location is 10 min walk from Abu Simbel entrance. Egypt air has a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel.

The food options could be improved to match the arquitectura and care of the hotel.

The Seti Abu Simbel Lake Resort is a really lovely place to stay. We recommend you to stay at least one night here, really relaxing. The rooms are super spaces, and the hotel complex is very lovely. They even plant their own vegetables and herbs for using in the restaurant. We really loved to hear that. The stuff is very friendly. Also, they helped us to organize the transport from and to Aswan, which was really well organized. To the Abu Simbel Temple you could walk within 20 minutes from the hotel.

We would prefer a menu in the restaurant instead of a buffet. Dishes was not bad, but still buffet

Nice setting with beautiful views. Comfortable suite that perfectly accommodated a family of 4.

It was full of mosquitoes and they sprayed a strong anti-mosquito thing that made us get dizzy! Also, very slow service at the restaurant.
