This is lovely older hotel with exceptional views and lovely well maintained and unexpectedly large rooms. We had a garden terrace with a view of the coastline that was stunning. The hotel is built, as are many in Taormina clinging to the side of a steep slope with rooms and terraces vertically aligned and next to each other. It has classic old Italian furnishings, and the staff was gracious and helpful.and the breakfast buffet delicious and varied. There are a myriad of hotels to choose from in Taormina, at different price point, this was my first visit but I felt the Hotel Sirius served us well in many ways at a very reasonable price. It is steps away from the gondola to the beach and just a few minutes further from the old town and the bus station where we caught a bus to Castelmoro(which is definitely worth a visit. The already breathtaking views are even more extraordinary up there and the old city is magical). Having just had this one experience here it did seem like the Hotel Sirius gave great value for the money, we had to pay an extra 20 Euro for parking but given how scarce it is that didn't seem unreasonable. Taormina is a place where one could obviously spend a fortune on a hotel but I felt as if we had many of the pleasures of the town, the wild views, easy access down to the beach or into town, and elegant comfortable accomadations the without the exorbitant prices.

It does not face toward the volcano nut up the coast in other direction, that was a minor disappointing the view nonetheless are gobsmackingly lovely.Driving into Taormina is not for the frail of heart The hairpin turns are no joke. I'm a reasonable confident driver and felt comfortable driving in most of Italy but climbing the hill to Taormina in a car tested my mettle, so much so that I didn't even attempt to drive to Castlemoro but tool the bus. The driveway itself down to hotel is narrow and twisty and while I'm sure perfectly safe was made me grip the steering wheel a little tighter than normal. It does on the hand have the most breathtaking view that people would stop to take selfies at the entrance to the hotel.

The hotel was lovely and charming. Bathrooms have been refurbished. Location is good - 8min walk to center. Breakfast was wonderful.

The parking was a nightmare! We messaged ahead to try to reserve parking at the hotel but it was fully booked. We were told that we would be directed to alternate parking upon arrival. The staff member assisting with our luggage directed us to a private parking lot that cost EUR30 per day. We realized later that this was 3x the price of a public parking garage that was just a few minutes further away so felt very disappointed and exploited. A simple message summarizing the parking options available (cost and distance from hotel) would have been much appreciated.

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Sirius, we received warm, friendly and attentive hospitality by the full team. As a family of 4 (2 small girls aged 4 & 5), traveling can sometimes be challenging, however, the whole team made our stay extremely comfortable and an amazing experience. The Hotel itself is beautiful, with the most incredible views of Taormina. Location was great, with a 10 minute walk into the heart of Taormina, and a 5 minute walk to the cable cars down to Isola Bella. The team were on hand to support with any query, and spent time with us as a family during breakfast and meals, engaging with us and making us feel at home. We’ve travelled to many hotels and places, and Hotel Sirius in Taormina has quickly become one of our absolute favorites.

Liked the hotel, staff, decor, gardens , pool, distance to Corsa Umberto and short walk to the beach ( 20 mins).Fab views over the bay and Isola Bella.Beautiful plants and flowers and terraces.Lovely pool and bar.Breakfast varied and provided fruit, cereals, pastries, juice, seeds, nuts, breads, cheeses, meats, salads, cake and good coffee.Short walk to busy town centre or to cable car.

Shuttle bus to Beach Resort not great.. bus itself fine, but resort crowded, had to buy "disposable" towels, you have to purchase a swimming cap to use the paddling/swimming pool and sun beds dirty and stained.Meal at resstaurant had pink Chicken in salad, which was removed from the bill, but only after being told, it is fine, that's how we eat it here.Recommend walking or cable car to Isola Bella.

Beautiful hotel , close to main area in Taormina so I didn’t have to use my car once it was parked . Ask about parking reservation when booking but limited space hotel . The concierge Fabiola was wonderful & told us where to park easily for a minimal fee for 3 days . Fabiola & John Marco the bus boy were wonderful, kind and supportive! We even had a ride from the owner of the hotel to our sunset cruise in Naxos because we couldn’t get a taxi ! This place was a gem ! Breakfast was excellent, beds & pillows super comfy & rooms spotless ! I hope to stay again on my next visit to Sicily ♥️

My 4 night stay was generally ok except for the following. I was connecting with a friend who was staying at a nearby hotel. We met in the lobby with the intention of walking through the hotel to an adjoining road to walk to a beach. One of the reception staff was very concerned about a visitor going past reception but finally relented and reluctantly allowed us to carry on. Later I returned and asked why it had been a problem. I told her that I had travelled to many countries and stayed in many hotels and had not met with visitor refusal anywhere else. She replied that the hotel policy was that due to safety concerns and insurance liability issues no visitors were permitted unless they submitted their passport and even then would only be permitted in the bar not near the pool or in the room. My visitors hotel nearby which was a superior quality, I met them there and was permitted access to all facilities except swimming in their pool. I suggest that Sirius review their policy to be consistent with normal hotel protocol.

Sirius is definitely the hotel in Taormina. It completely exceeded my expectations. Extremely elegant and classy. this is up the hill and you can watch the bay from the hotel, and although our room was 'side view' we could also watch the sea from the balcony. this really made our stay in Taormina 'la frutilla del postre''. Swimming pool location is amazing, you can stay the whole afternoon, relaxing and having quick meals by the bar, gelato or an expresso available too. the view from the pool is amazing also. If you want to go to a beach club, ask the reception and they can book 2 different beach clubs for you. Try to do it the day before. For only EUR15 each, they can pick you up from the hotel front and take you to the beach club which is 20'away, there you can enjoy a relaxing day with umbrella and chairs by the sea. We went to one called "Lido Playa Sole Luna". it also have a beautiful restaurant and a small swimming pool. arrange also the departure time.

may be the receptionists are not as kind as in other hotels of the area. but as hotel is so beautiful you really don't care much. but i think its a point that could be improved.

Quintessential Sicily! Beautifully maintained property with beautiful gardens, exceptional terrace and nice pool with mazing views. Location was perfect with easy access to town and beaches. Staff was lovely. You can really tell they take pride in their property and business. Breakfast was large with much variety. Coffee supplied on the rooms too! There was a miscommunication about parking our car and they still accommodated us on a very busy holiday weekend.

Nothing really other than they did give us a bit of a hard time about a miscommunication with the parking but then did eventually accommodate us. I think we did put them in a bit of a bind as it was a busy holiday weekend.

The hotel had an authentic Sicilian charm but with all the modern comforts you would need. The location was perfect for us as it was a 5 minute walk into the heart of Taormina where all the restaurants and bars are and a 5 minute walk to the funicular which brings you down to all the beaches (€10 pp return) the hotel itself is nice and quiet with stunning views. The staff were extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The pool was perfect as a reprise from the hot sun.

The entrance is quite steep which wasn’t an issue for us but could be for others.

Location was great, breakfast was good, the pool was fantastic with amazing views. A nice walk into town or tram ride down to the beach. Make sure you spend a day at the pool, you can order a great lunch and drinks, service was great, towels can be picked up near the pool.

We had a great room but, the people above us were moving around furniture and bags etc till midnight, which made it hard to sleep, all of the staff were great except for the server in the restaurant at night. There was no service and had a negative attitude which can make your night very unpleasent.
