Even though it's a bit off the camino, I selected it because I figured it would be quiet and within nature- which I love. The bed was comfy, the balcony was huge and perfect for hanging out clothes, and the shower was hot and had great pressure. Plus, it was completely dark with the electronic shades. Overall, a good choice.

Although off the path and nestled in nature, the walls were thin, so I ended up hearing too much noise - until everyone settled down. Also, although it had a gorgeous soaking tub, the drain plug didn't work.

The room is very spacious and has a balcony. Breakfast is good.

The kitchen does not include any dishes.

The architecture of this hotel is amazing. It's location is one of the most amazing places I have ever visited. The entrance to the hotel is nothing short of magical. The place is so quiet and cosy. Close by there are amazing restaurants, sightseeing spots, birdwatching, river activities like canoeing and the walking areas are gorgeous. Not to mention the great beaches nearby. Very good restaurants within walking distance. You can just stay here for a month. Wonderful and helpful staff that gave us very good tips and even some history about the hotel and the area. Amazing experience all the way!

Parque do Rio Ofir Hotel is an outstanding example of 70's architecture, beautifully designed with original features and an air of modernity. The swimming pool is amazing, big, and deep, and it has a diving board. There is a swimming pool for children. The setting is beautiful, too, in the middle of a pine forest. Easy nice walk to the beach and the river. A pity the restaurant is closed.

Unexpected excellent experience, architectural marvel (Júlio de Oliveira 1972), the stay felt like being inside a movie. To the attentive eye, there are design surprises in every corner. e.g. the bathroom layout/lighting/mirrors/geometry/ with its tiny cuneiform like mosaics appeared to be from a Blade Runner era. Very cosy in the middle of a nature reserve/tall pine trees with an extensive beautiful sandy beach less than 5min walk. To the west it has the Atlantic ocean, to the east a river, the peninsula provides a feeling of remoteness. Some wood materials make the place look like a lodge in a nordic island, like in those silent movies. There is a pool, balcony, and the property is closed with a gate.

The hotel was situated in a beautiful and peaceful location in a pine forest close to the sea. The pool and pool area was fantastic and the bar served lunch and snacks through the day. The reception and bar staff were absolutely delightful - so helpful and friendly. The whole place has a retro vibe that we really enjoyed. Lots of space. Great value for money. We would definitely go again.

The bar is closed in the evening and, although in theory drinks are available from reception, only beer was available. It would have been nice to be able to have a bottle of wine or a slightly wider selection of drinks to have during the evening.

There was a large swimming pool there, I didn't see it being used, air too cold I guess. Breakfast self service, all the usual stuff. Location, very quiet. This hotel is situated in a pine wood. Approached along a single track stoney road access via a electronic barrier. It's not a flash hotel. More 1960's style. Lots of brown wood, floors, doors & walls. I had a sunny room with balcony overlooking the car park. In the room there was a 1960's style dial telephone.

TV could have been better, only 7 Portuguese channels.

The property had great a great atmosphere and character, very retro. The grounds with pool were very relaxing.

There wasn’t anything to dislike.

- We liked the originality and the overall style of the hotel - breakfast was very nice - general offer was great ( free lemon water, pool tables, parking places)

- The bar at the pool: lack of options, very expensive, unfriendly guy

I loved this hotel. The decor was awesome and has stood the test of time. Yes, it’s a little tired around the edges but the wood, fluted glass doors and tiling are the same materials being installed in brand new London hotels trying to achieve a retro look. Its just a couple of minutes walk through the pine forest to the beach or the pool is just as lovely to sit around. Room had a huge bed, spacious balcony, motorised blinds and plenty of storage space.

Perhaps a better toaster for the breakfast table and a muesli/granola option for cereal.
