If u want to stay in Hong Kong Island near the central. This is the place. Location is superb for bus, mrt, ding ding (tram). Restaurant everywhere nearby. They provide locker in the room but u have to bring ur own pad lock. No in house sandal provided for using toilet. But they sell those items if u want to buy it. Staff really friendly and helpful. Common area also big compare other hostel i stay in HK. Provide Water & refrigerator in common area

For 3 night I stayed, I realised people stay in my room not a traveler. Idk maybe long term stay foreigners or what. So it’s hard to meet other travellers here. This is not hotel problem but just people stay in that room didn’t respect each other time. Eating on the bed. Talking loudly in the phone in the midnight. Phone keep ringing 2-3am. Plus a lady next to my bed snoring so loud. Room is super small. No curtains. So 100% u will need ear plug.

The common area was nice and stoked with coffee, tea and water. There was a 24 hour staff and they were very helpful. The beds were also pretty big.

There was a cockroach that landed on me while I was on the toilet.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel I booked cancelled my reservation, but Check Inn HK was able to accommodate me despite coming last minute at 6am without a reservation. I shared a room and a bathroom (outside the room) with 3 other girls. I had a locker to store some personal belongings, and my big luggage was left in the lobby area. The common area is nice to do some work or study, and the seats by the windows had a view of the street and power outlets to charge your device. Overall, the place was really clean. A lady cleans the bathroom and floors every day around noon, and the bed sheets are washed and changed regularly in between guests who come and leave.

There are different rooms for different budgets of course but as far as the rooms I stayed - on a budget ones :) I got really impressed how clean they were and how much effort they put into maintaining the cleanliness. Shoes off policy and no food in the room help that a lot. Bathrooms and showers as well, dry and clean.

Good location. Very friendly staff and clean. Loved the spacious common area.

The beds were comfortable as usual. It was a bit cold, but staff gave me an extra blanket. The room was clean, and cleaned daily. Checking in and out was incredibly simple.

Luggage storage wasn't very secure.

At least 1 shower cabinet & the main toilet lower cabinet could have been scrubbed cleaner. Otherwise, my stay there exceeded expectations, & I would highly recommend it.

I had a good stay at check inn HK! Booked the 6 beds mixed dorms with bathroom : - was nice and clean, despite the small room - private shower for the room is a huge plus, spacious with space to hang your stuff - nice common area, not too social but with couch and chair to relax, eat or work - staff was friendly, some of them talk more English than others

I wouldn't recommended going for the dorms with shared bathroom cause thats a huge downgrade considering the price. Talking about money, i'd say its not cheap but more of a Hong Kong problem Biggest downside for me was the litlle smell in the room, as its so tiny and surrounded by buildings no fresh air can enter

Staff is friendly clean

the staff are so nice! love the 24 hour reception and they clean the rooms everyday. the staff are always smiling and very helpful. You can do laundry for 80HKD but it's extra HKD by kgs. Very close to good cheap restaurants (congee, noodles, mcdonald's).

however, the property in general is older and could use some deeper cleaning (like in the grout of the showers, there is mildew). be mindful that there are around 5 steps up before you reach the elevator, if you have heavy suitcases. the dorm rooms don't have curtains on the bunk beds, which is the biggest negative.
