We are overwhelmed and extremely happy with our stay in A&O hostel. It can be actually called a hotel not hostel. We had our clean and neat room with double bed with private bathroom and toilet similar to any other hotels. It is extremely value for money, very near to all transport facilities, clean and neat, impressive lobby, very friendly and smiling staffs. There is a bar and restaurant in the lobby, Malik at the bar was very friendly and supportive. Good family crowd in the lobby, we are thoroghly satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend A&O hostel for anyone travelling to Venice.

The vibe... You could go to the lobby and make friends within minutes.. Didn't feel awkward or left out at all.. The cages under the bed is a really good idea!! It really is a super clean place,, nest and tidy,, I felt safe the entire time.. If it's your first time going to a hostel,, rest assured,, you would love it here.. It's like one massive sleep over!!*

Someone checked in at 03:00 in the morning,, both nights I was there,, and just put on the light and woke everybody up,, so I don't think a quiet time policy can hurt.. Also,, the charger on the upper beds doesn't work,, but there's plenty of other plugs to use..

We really liked the location of the hostel. It was just 5 minutes walk from the Venezia Mestre station from where went trains to Venice every 10 or less minutes. We had a private room for two with own bathroom. It was large enough for us, it was clean and cozy, and staff was friendly and also very helplful . We also experienced a problem with our room (toilet leaking) and staff immediately changed our room to another and gave us voucher for free drink at the bar as an apology. Good job! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely reccomend. Nice place and very fair price.

We were at 6 from total of 9 floors and there were only two elevators, so sometimes we wait a little longer to get to our floor. But it didnt spoiled our stay.

The room was big, clean and well equipped. Cleaners came every day to college garbage and so on. On the third day of staying there we were updates with linens and towels. The lobby is great. There was a live band concert on Friday. Breakfast was pretty good. The location is excellent: close to the railway station, excellent supermarkets and fast foods. Enough space in fridges in the shared kitchen, free paper packets to store products there. A lot of tv channels.

The shared kitchen is smaller than it should be, with the only soup pot and with two sous pans there. There are 4 small electric stoves, but if they all are switched on, the safety circuit breaker will trip and switch off power.

The accommodation is in a very nice place, when you leave the hotel, go right and you will see the stairs on the right, go up and there is the bus stop to Venice. The guy at the front desk was lovely and seemed to be doing us a favor with an early check-in, although I believe that's standard, but we felt special 😅 The hotel is nice, mostly for young people, although there were also older people and families with children. The rooms are nothing special, but it's great to sleep over. Parking is expensive, but if you see that it's 100% safe and you won't have to worry about someone breaking your windows, it's worth every penny. The insulation is good so that the noise from the street and from the corridor is not heard.

Mattress. It's terrible, it's really not comfortable, but it's not so uncomfortable that you can't sleep. It's okay for a few nights, but I don't recommend it for a long stay. We also had a small incident with the radiator in the bathroom, but since we were only staying one night, it didn't bother us.

For someone who intends to visit Venezia, this hostel is perfectly positioned. Shops and supermarket are just around the corner. It's also very close to the train station of Mestre but without having the crowd and the noise. I like very much the common space, both the bar and the chill out lounge. It's clean and quite new. We took a double room, and I find it clean and the size is good. It also has a garage where we parked our car safely. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

The price for double room is rather on the expensive side, though I know that for the shared room it's a very good deal if you don't plan to stay for a long time.

Nice central position close to the Rail Station made.it an easy way to visit Venice by very cheap fares and 11 minutes to Venice! Staff were very helpful.indeed While we were there the hotel was doing with very large groups of children,.one day and students the next ..I have to say the way the staff coped with these groups at breakfast was admirable. The Breakfasts themselves were ample.and well stocked and the ladies tidying up were good humoured and efficient.

I think a little work should be done on general cleanliness. On.our first stay at the start of our holiday we felt the hall carpets on our floor (6) were stained and required heavy duty hoovering..the second stay at the end of our holiday we woild say that their was a fair amount of mold in the shower, but this could be easily rectified This is a very slight comment as the hotel WAS very full

The beds were really comfy and you had a small light and 2 power outlets next to the bed. You were almost hidden with the sides of the bed and the pillow was big and comfy. The room was very well thought out. The common spaces were huge and there were plenty of places to sit.

The kitchen was quite small and not very well ventilated so it was stuffy with some horrible smell combinations. The reception air con was a bit chilly for me. The one bathroom in the room, having to wait for people who hog it when you need to pee and there is no option or to go down 9 floors to the shared toilet which people are also waiting for.

Walking distance to train station, affordable price, good size of room _ had 6 BED DORM, room was pretty huge it gave each much space for bags or just to sit down on desk in room. Also dorm has private bathroom inside dorm. Was clean, downstairs they had a huge lobby with much comfortable seating, groceries store was one minute walk from hotel and kitchen was well prepped with even little bags to place your food with names & dates on bags ( to keep in fridge). Staff was friendly.

Kitchen didn't had much cutlery, but given that hotel has seven floors and most likely many guest using the kitchen, I prop just came at time when most of it was being used.

The stay was good, the location is perfect, next to the corner there is a bus stop and by 5 minutes walk - train station. Next to the hostel, there is a big grocery store and a great coffee place and pizza place. If you are visiting Venice, then this is a super great place, where to stay, because its just 10-minute ride by bus to Venice. The area is quite fine, people in the hostel are friendly and the reception is pretty modern, great opportunities to spend the time.

The only thing - the bed was not a one normal, big double bed, it had two mattresses and two beds just pushed together to make one.
