From the moment we arrived we were treated with immense warmth and hospitality by everyone at Skajado. They looked after us with great care and made us feel truly valued guests. We loved the fabulous view over Malia bay from the apartment's terrace and the sound of the waves that lulled us to sleep each night. We'll never forget the glorious sun rises and the full moon. And being able to stroll down through the beautiful gardens to the jetty to swim in the warm sea each day was bliss (especially at sunrise). The kitchen was well equipped so we cooked fairly often (to keep from eating too much - the local restaurants eg Romantic Corner and Maistrali Taverna were great !) We really appreciated having bus stops for buses to Hereklion and Agios Nikolaos only a few minutes walk away, so we didn't need to rent a vehicle to get around. Thanks to the advice of Sandra, of the Blue Ways travel agency in the centre of Stalida, we went on wonderful walks on good paths eg up the hill behind Stalida to the Monastery of Virgin Mary Theogennitor - amazing views - and on to Muxos village (and back) ; along the coast to Sisi via the extensive Minoan palace beyond Malia; and to Old Heronissos . We also took a interesting and well run bus tour with Blue Ways to the Cave of Kiktaion Andron on the Lasithi Plateau via the Monastry of Kera Kardiotissa. There are SO many things we liked - loved! - about Skajado, Stalida, Crete and the lovely people we met...we really look forward to our next visit.

The view, garden and all the facilities inside the studio all new and clean . taverns close by.

No Parking , the parking is possible up on a secondary road / not safe .The studio nr.16 has no intimacy because the balcony/entrance is shared with another apartment so the transit guest/traffic will walk next to you .buzzing AC outdoor unit.

Right on the shore as described in the pics. We were in the panoramic view apartment. Every window had a great view. Nice full window from the bedroom facing the see. A nice terrace with umbrella. Additional 360 degree floor on the rooftop which can be exclusively accessed. Easy walk way to the restaurants and beach. Supermarket across the street. Nearby roadside free parking. The cleaning staff did a great job.

Wifi can be better. In the April month the water was not hot enough, probably solar powered.

When you leave the room the electricity is switched off so you can not keep your devices in charge The curtains let a lot of light come into the room at the sunrise

I loved everything about this property and cannot wait to visit again- the owner was very lovely and sweet; checked on me to ensure my stay on her property was good and safe. The picture tho are true does not truly capture the beauty of this place- absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. Yes it was toward the end of tourist season but the few guests who were there very polite and nice. Just a few minutes from town and beach- just amazing. As a solo traveler I felt safe and comfortable! Thank you for that.

Great location. Cleaning people very friendly and helpful. Basic features of the apartment were very good.

We would have preferred another room with a bigger patio. We did ask and thought that because we were staying for 12 nights that we would get a preference, but the owner said no. We have identified some apartments we would like to use in the future, but how do you select a specific one on your booking site?

It is wonderful place with quite spacious rooms, very neat and comfortable and cozy rooms filled with a little tiny things that make you fill like you are at home. From the bedroom and the living room there are very vivid view of the sea, there is also a big balcony where you can have your quiet morning coffee looking at the sea. You can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. There are also sunbeds where you can take a sunbath without even going to the nearest beach. We enjoyed staying at the place very much. Also the apartment house has several terraces on different levels where you can comfortably sip a glass of wine, looking to the sea in a day time and under the Moon lights with a candle in the evenings. Amazingly beautiful place. There is a swimming place right next to the apartment or only few minutes walking away there is a sand beach and a bunch of taverns. We had there an amazing time. Certainly the owner has very good test for design.

The apartment was well appointed and had a beautiful terrace with a sea view. There were several other public spaces that we easily accessible and lovely to use. The host even made us some treats for our arrival. The walk into town took only a few minutes with several restaurant options.

You need to park on a side street and walk down a driveway to the property. Not inconvenient, but good to know. We had a rental car.

The rooms were very cozy, interior was very peasant. It was also close to the sea, and I was even able to have a wonderful view on it from my apartment’s terrace. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is also not far from local nice beaches, restaurants etc.

Everything!!! The location is great, close to markets and a beach full of beach bars and restaurants, and yet far away enough to be completely quiet at night. The only "noise" were the waves on a windy day. The appartment is very modern and cosy, very well equipped. Beds are like new and super comfy, the bathroom is great too a d the kitchen has all you may need. There is free street parking close by. The staff and the owners were very nice and so discreet that we didn't notice them at all. I would definitely recommend it to couples young and older alike, and they also have biggwr appartments for families. If in the area again we would definitely love to come back at Skajado!!!
