It's a very beautiful place with friendly staff. The hotel looks amazing and very clean. The staff is very friendly. The biggest plus that we didn't have to wait to check in. We were allowed to check in immediately. The parking is free and available. The interior is very beautiful and each room has a balcony. Especially convenient for smokers.

The only thing that I didn't like was the toilet door that doesn't close properly, but only stretches all the way. Sometimes it creates extra noise and deprives privacy. I really like everything else and I'm ready to return to this hotel.

We stayed here for attending a concert at the Veltins arena. It's a 10 minute drive to the arena so for us location was great. We had one delux room and one comfort room for triple. The delux room looks better, the comfort room is more dated and the bathroom not so nice. Both rooms are spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. In the delux room there was an electric kettle and coffee machine, also there was a mini fridge in both rooms. Big spacious parking. Friendly staff.

The comfort room is dated and the shower not comfortable. The balcony is a long balcony shared for all rooms so you can't keep the door open at night.

The hotel front of house, restaurant, bar and communal areas were really nicely presented. Rooms were good size with good sized bathroom, access to outside on the ground floor or to a balcony on others. Plenty of free parking, breakfast was great at a reasonable price for what was on offer.

A little dated from the outside if i'm being really picky and maybe could've done with a prune and the pond / fountain cleaned. The room although it was comfortable, the decor was dated, again being picky. I actually don't mind it, it's a bit nostalgic but maybe not to everyone's taste.

I was in this hotel many times. First time alone because of work but in the past I was here with my family because we are visiting Movie park every year. Clean bathrooms, very good beds. Furniture remember better times but its ok. I will always return in this hotel.

Windows has some small vents and it was imposible to close it. Probably some dirt inside. People smoke cigarettes on balcony and all the cigarettes smoke was inside my room. This was first time I have a problem in this hotel.

The check-in check-out was smooth. The room and hotel itself was comfortable, in very nice green surroundings. Bar with a large TV for watching Euro football tournament and food were great!

The hotel is accessible only by cab and it is expensive to get to the city for trains etc - also one of the cab drivers overcharged us, dropped us at a location further away from where we contracted to go to. Room TV did not have paid channels which were showing Euro football tournament - requiring us to necessarily go to the Bar and consume there

The room was outdated but extremely clean and comfortable, especially the comfy fluffy bedding, and the gorgeous marble bathroom with full tub and separate shower. Also the outside terrace with lovely views was a nice touch. The breakfast included was a great spread from hot and cold foods, juices and coffees and teas. And the buffet dinner was excellent with lots of choices of beef, chicken, seafood and vegetarian options, salads and more. The staff front desk were super friendly, and the restaurant staff were very nice as well. Would come back again and recommend Hotel Gladbeck to all.

It was 27.00 Euro taxi drive to Veltins Arena which was expensive for the 2 day convention which came up to over 100.00 Euros for the 4 taxi rides. But, other than that, everything else was great!

Beautiful hotel with lots of nature around. Comfortable, clean, and modern rooms, we were able to check in early and were upgraded to a better room free of charge by the friendly man at the check-in desk. Late checkout was possible, which was great since we had a concert the day before. Absolutely recommend this hotel.

The price inflation due to Taylor Swift performing in Gelsenkirchen was a bit ridiculous...

Perfect location for us during a drive from the UK to east Germany, right beside the Autobahn. Huge hotel with great staff. Staff went out of their way to put us in a room that suited our needs (lots of equipment to load into the hotel, they gave us a room with a door directly to the carpark for easy loading in/out). Great price

Due to some renovations it was quite difficult to navigate around the hotel and some facilities weren't available (Pool tables out of action and we couldn't find a working vending machine). Rooms a little dated but as to be expected a the price and didn't bother us.

I choose this hotel every time because I like the way my requests are resolved and the kindness of the staff. But what I like most is that breakfast is delicious and can be taken until 11 o'clock.....so I don't have to get up early to eat something. Thank you for your hospitality, every time I feel spoiled at you !!!!

The restaurant and bar where great especially a young Indian girl who waited on us.

Bedrooms are very dated, and the beds and pillows are very uncomfortable. For the price paid, I would expect tea and coffee facilities in the room. The rooms decor needs updating as very 1990s very much behind the times, the lighting was poor.
